I wonder if they tested gratuitous sex scenes and found them gratuitously dumb.

Oh give it a rest. The sex scenes in this show are hardly gratuitous. Have you read the fucken books? (I certainly hope so if you're in this thread...)

Someone in the show thread has noticed the necklace and went to rewatch the scene.

They'll get to Olenna probably, but hopefully they won't figure the whole thing out.

Kind of. It really starts after Tywin's death. But it gets rolling now.

I wonder how game Lena will be. I say this as a gentleman and a scholar and not someone that just wants to see her boobs: We need to see Cersei's descent into crazy and her trying to screw her way to power is a big part of that. I hope Lena's game for it.

Lancel, and Osney Kettleblack, and Moon boy for all we know.

:)

So someone refresh me on the very end of Book 3. I mean, the VERY end with Lady Stoneheart. Who is it that brings her back? I always forget which character it is because the names are so funky and I haven't read it in a while.

Nope I haven't. That's why I had no idea they made up a character just for this very reason in the show! You know that red headed prostitute?

Beric Dondarrion. He's the one in the cave with Thoros who fought the Hound during Arya's arc.

Yeah.

At least the show doesn't have detailed flashbacks of Dany being fingered by her handmaiden, or like 7 detailed TyrionXShae passages.

It's Thoros of Myr and Beric Dondarrion. Latter basically gave his last 1up to revive Catelyn.

Stupid plot to kill Joffrey you make no sense!

1. Why are you giving Sansa the necklace with the poison, what happens if she is like "durr this necklace is stupid, I picked out my jewelery weeks ago"

2. Why put poison on the necklace in the first place, it isn't like Olenna is getting strip searched before she can go to the wedding. Just keep it under your hat or something Queen of Thorns

3. what happens if you can't blame Tyrion? Seems like a big gamble. When Cersei calms down she might see through your thinly veiled plot hatched on his wedding day to your power hungry grand-daughter

4. With two dead kings your now twice widowed grand-daughter should probably be forced to marry Lancel since she already has killed 2 kings. What then Tyrells

I hope they don't reveal Joffrey as hiring Bran's assassin. Everybody assumes it was Cersei surely. Scared of being found out, will go to extreme lengths to protect her secret, the scene with Cat where she is asking about him waking up. Plus her and Littlefinger framing Tyrion makes sense too.

I remember being so disappointed to find out that Cersei was just batshit insane.

I don't think she was at the start. She was a spoiled brat that nearly brought her family to ruin through incest/adultery, but she never really did anything too crazy other than that (within the GOT world, incest isn't that bizarre anyway). The plot to kill Robert was her last hope of keeping the truth from getting out. It's not until later that she really unravels.

Yeah, and that red headed prostitute replaced another prostitute from the books (Alayaya) as well as adding other roles to the character. Grasping much? Seriously, why try to debate this stuff if you haven't even read the source material...

Come on, they were gratuitous in the book too you know ;)

Uh, that's what I was saying. They're way more "gratuitous" in the books. The show might as well be PG-13 by comparison.

another subtle (maybe not really) foreshadowing of Olenna's hand in all of this: during Joff and Margarine's actual wedding ceremony, the Septon says something like "and cursed whoever attempts to destroy this union" (or WHATEVER) and the camera briefly focuses on Olenna. Heh.

#3. Cersei could be given 100% proof that is someone else and she will still believe it was Tyrion.

The first part of your post and the second part of your post while posted at the same time contradict each other immensely. I have read the books. Ros is a made up character for the show. Period. Whether she's based on another character is not what I said and not what I mean. You're incredibly defensive when I'm offering valid criticisms.

The one big downside to Crazy Cersei is going to be that they won't tell Peter Dinklage to take a year off. One of the things I absolutely loved about AFFC was not knowing where Tyrion was. I made Cersei's (and Jaime's) paranoia all the more effective because even we the reader didn't know if Tyrion was still in the city or not.

1. Sansa is Tyrion's wife and they needed Tyrion to get blamed, for Sansa to escape (they think she's heir to the north, but obviously we know differently), and for Tyrion's "betrayal" of the family to really drive a wedge in it.

2. She's crafty. Worst case scenario if it were to be found out, she can claim that she's never seen the necklace.

3. Joff was pretty much out to kill Tyrion and Cersei knew it. It was likely who would get blamed.

4. Mace Tyrell has a huge army/navy and is literally keeping everyone fed. The war against Stannis isn't over, and the throne is tenuously held. They didn't show it on the show, but Tywin is kind of the Tyrell's bitch at this point; They get what they want, period.

Not defensive, just annoyed with how much you folks seem to harp on the rather tame sex scenes in this show.. endlessly. Especially given the rather NOT tame source material.

Come on guys, it's not a stretch for an observant viewer to figure out that the necklace in Ep.1 was a strange scene with seemingly no reason for being there, and Olenna fiddled with Sansa's hair for quite a long while.

So cynical. ;_;

Psychological Intellect is clearly either a book reader or wiki reader, You don't just immediately stumble on the truth like that.

What a shame. I was enjoying the whodunnit theories developing.

She already hates The Kingdoomer Marge, why wouldn't she use this chance to make sure she is nowhere near King Tommen.

She haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaates Tyrion. She will take steps to protect Tommen but she's more concerned with getting rid of Tyrion atm.

But her chapters were so fun. She kept thinking she was hot shit making all these badass moves and each one was worse then the last and you knew it was about to come crashing down

It was amazing how terrible all her decisions were. Before her POV, I thought she was smart.

Though Joffery and Tywin dying probably had a lot to do with her crazy.
