Well the winds travel from cold to hot. Westeros is colder, therefore in winter and in the West. So the winds from the west are the winds of winter.Maybe the winds only blow east.

Given that he had another dude sound it, I don't think he considers himself the master of the horn regardless.- I hope GRRM goes a bit deeper into those horns, and where they came from/who created them, or at the very least, how those particular magics work. Euron isn't a Targ (though in the books, I don't think the Targs are fireproof like they are in the show?), so it makes it interesting how he came to be the horn's master. I imagine he found it in the ruins of the Doom.
...unless Sam isn't going to Oldtown in the show. Him taking the sword makes me wonder if he's headed back up North or elsewhere.
First line could happen, the second makes no sense at all for either character
I doubt the show has the patience to show Oldtown.
And if so, thank god for that
There is virtually no way that scene happens in the books. That was just them either ending the Rickon story early because they're not interested in it, or if he dies in the book, rewriting his death to fit the plot they've written. I don't think there's anyway Rickon somehow gets from Skagos into Ramsay's custody.
What's so bad about Oldtown? It's only been in 2 chapters.
And so far, it has a lot of interesting things going on there.
Euron's invasion, the Horn of Joramun, Jaquen infiltrating the Citadel, the glass candles/palantir, Sam, Sarella, mass sacrifice ritual and possible Dornish invasion etc
Can't wait for it to take 14 episodes for Dany to travel to Westeros when it takes 2 for Yara and Theon to get to Meereen.
I thought it was closer to 15, splitting the last season into two parts. The show only has 8 episodes left...

They could to Rhaegar's harp, too. I guess for the show, they could maybe show something in the ToJ that Bran sees, and then show that same object in the crypts and have Jon find it? Or perhaps they'll just cut from ToJ straight to Jon to heavily imply the lineage.
I couldn't remember if it was lute or a harp but yeah I meant harp. Thing is with the show Jon would have to first figure out that Lyanna was his actual mother otherwise he wouldn't have the motivation to look into her casket. I guess Littlefinger might be used to drop that to him or something. Even though we're probably not seeing Harrenhal I wouldn't be shocked if there's a reveal that Littlefinger was at Harrenhal and witnessed what went on between Rhaegar and Lyanna, it kind of seemed hinted at and if he did it would probably be easy for him to put two and two together.
And if so, thank god for that
Hey guys remember when Max Von Sydow was in this season? What was he in like two episodes? Godammit.
It's got 14 episodes left.
Season 7 will be 7 episodes long.
And Season 8 will be 6 episodes long.
See I would actually think that Varys holds that information. But then again if he did, he'd be trying to support Jon too.
No doubt Varys would know that also, but he's secretly backing Aegon (Blackfyre?), so I don't think he'd be so keen to help Jon with any sort of progression in that regard.
Even with 13 episodes I can't see how they can bring the story to a satisfying conclusion. It seems like such a terrible decision.

Jamie promised Kat he'd return her daughters safely to winterfell in exchange for his release from prison. If he's now an honerable guy he's going to have to keep his word. It makes total sense
It makes total sense. Even if on the show it will appear rushed and slightly out of character
There's another episode next week in case you forgot.7 + 6 = 14?

From what if heard he only signed up for the role because it was limited.
7 + 6 = 14?
Jon is the back-up plan when that perfect 'I CAME OUT OF NOWHERE' kid dies.
*Arya sailing home on ship, bragging to everyone she's going home to Winterfell
*Guy walk up next to her to high five her
*pulls out knife
*Jaqen tears off fake face
*"Valar morghulus"
*Arya pulls off her face, is also Jaqen*
*"Valar Dohaeris"
I had thought that they said that they were thinking about wrapping it up in like 15 episodes, but that they weren't sure because they hadn't started writing it yet. Did their plans get more concrete?
at least the show will actually end and I can move on with my life, I ain't waiting for this fucker to write more than Winds of Winter.
Sorry that art takes time?
Remember that Varys was the one that ultimately helped bring the Targaryen dynasty down.
Yes because other authors take this long to write a series.

People keep talking about Peytr having Control of the North now, and while he's a scheming little bastard, what would he want the North for? No one cares about the North except Northmen.
