Upcoming Vita Games (~200+ Upcoming games in ENGLISH) || 2017 Edition ||

I really will be sad if Blue Reflection doesn't make it over on Vita. I'm not sure I'm counting on it being a great game, but man it's so pretty style-wise. So very shoujo manga-y.

I mean, I'd have even bought Nights of Azure if it had come out on Vita. Like Falcom, Gust games are just exactly my cup of tea and Vita is my favourite place to play, so I'd have been all over it; performance issues or not.

I'm hopeful. Make sure you all bought Atelier Shallie and will buy Toukiden 2 when it comes out, I suppose that's all we can do!

Welcome! i recommend to buy any memory card that is not a 4gb or 8gb card and o buy physical games for heavy sized games . if you dont care abut physical games you can buy 99% of the catalogue by psn.
Thanks, I guess I was lucky when I got it. Bought the newer version on black off a pawn shop in excellent condition for 99 bucks. When I opened the slots or had a 16 gig memory card and a game in it.

Finally put down my preorders for Takyo Xanadu and Ys VIII. So happy that there are some great physical games still coming out this year on Vita.

Have they even announced, or hinted at, Blue Reflection coming to the West yet? Or are we all just assuming based on the English trophy's popping up (because I'm okay with that, haha).

All of Gust's games since the PS2 days have been localized except for Ciel nosurge, which was super niche. This is a regular turn-based RPG with Persona-esque gameplay, I'd say it's definitely going to be localized. I think the Vita will at least get a digital version in the west, if it doesn't get a limited physical CE or something.

Oh really? Well that's good to know and a very good sign that they'll be localizing it. I just discovered Gust with this game and Nights of Azure so I wasn't sure what to expect. Thanks!

Not true sadly. We never got Atelier Lise and Atelier Lina (a real shame about this one), nor the PSP ports. I do hope we get this one, though.

Still can't decide what versions I want.

I went PS4 LE for both. I didn't want to pass up the extra content in Tokyo and I think there is a rumor Ys Andi has extra PS4 content. I would like them on the go, but I don't know if it's with the double dip, especially as I'm not sure if cross save works if the content is different.

I just got the standard Vita versions of both. I was going to get Ys for PS4, but DQXI and Ni No Kuni II should be out around then, so I couldn't flood myself with games, lol.

I'm trying to stop buying useless LE. I mean I'm not even checking artbooks and listening soundtracks. So standard editions for me probably. I think this:
Xanadu - Vita, because we're getting it earlier and maybe double dip later
Ys - PS4 and maybe Vita later for collection purpose.

Got my Hori L2/L3 & R2/R3 grip today from Play-Asia and played with it for a while. Great addition for many PS1 games, Remote Play or games like Borderlands 2. Sadly only available for the Slim, but totally worth it. Good stuff!

I'm getting both on Vita, but that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who knows me :p

I'll probably buy the expanded versions down the line, but I wanna support these publishers for bringing across the Vita versions even in these circumstances (gimped port) as well as, well, I friggin' love having Falcom games on Vita. Will be nice to add to my collection with the Cold Steel games; Celceta and all the PSP Ys games.

Soon! Wonder if we'll be able to preorder the game starting next week.

Was gonna post this. Looks like it might make the March release after all!

Very excited for the game. But I'm even more excited to see what Gaijinworks do next, since Vic has said he plans to support Vita as long as he can iirc.

As far as Vita's concerned - I wonder what he could bring next.

Yeah, there do certainly seem to be fewer "Working Designs-esque" games out for Vita than I feel there were for PS3/PSP. Then again, I don't really see much (which hasn't already come across) which might be appealing for them on PS4 either.

I'm assuming the 3rd Super Robot Wars Z games are off-limits, and Vic probably won't want to work with SEGA again after the Phantasy Star/Shining Force story he told a while ago (meaning Phantasy Star Nova is off-limits too).

I don't really know what else he'd be interested in. Tales of Innocence R? Not sure he'd be able to get his hands on that, though getting Summon Night 6 is a step in the right direction.

Everything else seems to fanservice-y, so it'll be really interesting to see what he does.

hasn't vic said he's wanted to do idolm@ster
clearly the taiko re-skin is coming

Funnily enough I was reading that interview when I made the post about them supporting Vita going forward. Yep, he's said he's interested in it, and he's in cahoots with Bamco now so who knows
if we'll get Platinum Stars in the west

Don't know why BN SEA is bothering to translate the PSVR shovelware into English. No one's really going to buy that stuff.

The numbers the Wonderful Edition got on Vita were pretty satisfying, I think, so that will likely encourage him to try and see what he can do on Vita.

Also, he's quite fond of the system himself, especially the OLED model.

.

Same, although I'm not sure if I'm getting Ys since I never finished Celceta.

Well, that's pleasing to hear. Given Vic's love of PSP, it doesn't surprise me that he loves Vita as well.

But yeah, looking through my list of Japanese Vita games, I just don't see much that would fit in with his previous catalogue. He seems to like SRPGs alongside more traditional RPG's, normally without much fanservice. There just... isn't much of that on Vita. Aside from the games I mentioned above, the only other one I can come up with is Super Hero Generation, but I don't think it'll be that lol.

Well, and SaGa Scarlet Grace, but that would be a mad crazy get for him. That said, he mentioned in this article that they've been progressing to bigger and bigger titles (Class of Heroes -> Summon Night) and intend to keep going, so who knows.

It's clearly Time Travelers.

ULTROS!

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks.
Still waiting for Romancing SaGa 2. Any luck?

I should probably cut back on those collectors purchases at some point...*sigh*

The Tokyo Xanadu was hardest as I've been excited for it, but figured to go for the extra content. Is there cross save news? I'm not sure how it works going from the standard to ex. Ys8 too. I guess I'm doing the reverse, which I feel bad about. But I did import SRWV so maybe the Vita gods won't be too angry and we will get some of the other Vita Japan time titles released on Vita in US.

I hope no-one minds me sharing this here, but I finished my latest article for my site and it's basically just a history of Koei-Tecmo support on Vita and a brief look into my thoughts on the future for them:

I enjoy writing this kinda stuff, so if it's a topic that interests you, let me know what you think.

No cross save. I don't think anyone would blame you for going for the PS4 version, Falcom have really screwed their Vita fanbase in the past few years imo by doing this "PS4 enhanced version" a year or two later, then skipping Cold Steel 3. In the west, it's not a case of getting fans to buy the Vita versions then announcing the PS4 version will have extra content later, so I expect more people to dive in on PS4.

Like I've said previously, I'll be going Vita as usual, but I'm sure as long as you keep buying games for the console the Vita gods will forgive you.

Which reminds me... go buy Toukiden 2 for Vita everyone! I've no idea if it'll help, but I want things like Musou Stars and Blue Reflection in the west and I feel like every release from Koei-Tecmo hinges on enough people buying on Vita these days so we get the next game (i.e. the reason we're not getting the new Samurai Warriors is because not enough people bought 4 Empires).

So... I hope you're all buying Atelier Firis and you'll all buy Toukiden 2 just to make sure!

>buy firis in march

Bruh you seen how many great games are releasing/ already out in the last few weeks?

Firis is alchemist of the bomba lol.

Toukiden 2 I'll buy physical vita or skip it for now on any platform.

Vita aswell? I can only find two different listing for the PS4 version, Raj Edition and Amu Edition. What's up with that?

Was a good read for my breakfast today! KT on Vita is a Love/Hate relationship for me:
I love the huge output they have for the system, but I hate how bad the most of them run.
I love that they are porting every new Atelier game to the plattform, but I hate how they are not giving Gust a better budget to overcome their technical difficulties.
I love that they are bringing many games to retail, but I hate that they are skipping equally much like most of the Ateliers.
I love their past support for english asian physical releases, but I hate how they stopped them after a few.

And so on.

At the end I have pretty much every release from them, besides 1-2 digital only musous. I'm glad, that they brought us so many good games.
