Upgrade to Windows 10?

I like how I downloaded a new OS... rebooted and the installation process took 14 minutes 6 seconds and I have windows 10 now. Impressive stuff.

Right-click to My Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management

Mine was 100mb when I had issues upgrading. I had to find a third party program to extend the partition to 400mb+.
 
Anyone got any idea why certain apps are blurry for me?

I'm running a crisp 1080p on my monitor and things like Chrome, desktop are fine. But if I load up Steam or Spotify or even a pop up box the text is blurry as foook. Like my text is crystal clear what I'm typing now on gaf but on steam everything is all vaselined up :s

Thank you, it worked after changing this. I was so close to the administrative tab the entire time but never clicked it.

Did a clean install and everything is working great except my xbox one controller. I can't seem to get it to register the triggers. I've tried updating the drivers, downloading the drivers from microsofts site, and i'm out of ideas :(

Any clue how to get the triggers for an xbox one controller to register?

If you do a disk clean up (right click your C: drive and go to properties), yes.




Sidenote: Checking out FFXIV, works just fine. May in fact be running a little better. I usually average in busy area's about 60 - 70 FPS but getting over 70 all the time now.

Windows 10 definitely improves the performance of a lot of games. In Arkham knight I now run at a solid 30 fps.
 
Asking again about reverting - in case anything happens will I be able to revert to Windows 7 using my OEM copy? For reference, I never had to enter my original OEM code when updating. Kind of want to get rid of this 20 gigs.
 
So just to be safe, i don't need an ISO to clean install Win10 right? I just just go into recovery and do a RESET right for the clean install?
 
Microsoft Edge works like a dream for me. Loading streams and videos finish at a snap compared to Chrome, and even 4K 60fps videos work without any pauses (it needs a little more loading, but that doesn't bother me). Windows 10 is proving to be very good for me.

Good riddance to the Java version of Minecraft. The W10 Beta works so much better for me.
 
Hey guys I want to do a fresh install, where will I be able to find the license considering my Windows 7 was an OEM license? I don't have the disk for the OEM

Some apps don't work with the new DPI scaling. Turn it off for those apps by going into compatibility properties on the icon for each of them.

The problem is that I've I already upgraded. Now I have a problem with my Office 2010 asking me to activate and it keeps failing despite the copy I have was bought from PC World. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office but not everything is removed..

Still getting used to navigating the UI, but I'm very impressed with how stable and smooth everything has been right out of the gate. MS did a phenomenal job of transitioning everything, and I like using the OS a lot better than 8 so far.

Well then, absolutely useless for me in that case. But it's already inferior to Shadowplay so I don't really care.

Recorded a video in Minecraft earlier and it was 20Mbit/s and 34fps..?
 
So on the topic of Minecraft Win 10 Edition... I was just testing it out on my tablet and watching some TV on my Xbox One. The achievements I got while playing appeared on my TV instead of my PC screen. I am not sure if that is intentional but I did find it amusing.
 
Is it normal for this to sit at a black screen after reboot for like 5 minutes now? I ran the upgrade though the media creator and chose to do a clean install (I.e. keep nothing). (Forgive me if this has been gone over.)
 
Can Anyone tell me why my wifi connection keeps dropping after the windows 10 update? It works for a few mins and then it drops and won't connect or limited connection.
