I mean, the dude can't get upset if he dets investigated and disciplined, he's an active duty Marine, and Obama is on top of that chian of command thingie.

I did LOL when he said he would refuse an order to take away an American citizen's weapon.
 
Lol, he "won't take guns away from American citizens." Clearly only a rational person would worry about such a thing.
 
For some reason, I think the only time the military would seize weapons is if those weapons were being used against the military. At that point, I am sure he would be more then happy to seize the weapons.
 
Isn't it somewhat of a contradiction to be a politically opinionated member of the military? How could you follow the orders of a President or administration when those orders, to you, are harmful to the country or dubious by your reading of the Constitution - how do you wrestle with that

I think they're fine with him having a political view, but not saying that'd he'd refuse orders from his Commander in Chief.

Not that I know who the military works.

I just assume treason would be consider things that endanger the country, like releasing information, assassinating high officials, deliberately going against required orders. Or something.

Again, I claim no knowledge of what is considered treasonous or not.

I highly doubt this will result in a charge of treason. Treason is a very serious crime, while what this guy did was basically say a few stupid things because he's too dumb to quash or otherwise channel his latent racism.

Then again, in the wake of the Tucson shooting all the enemy/target talk could get him into hot water.

Where's the racism ? I don't see any.

This marine probably crossed a line, but this guy isn't anywhere on the level of that asshole Army doctor who refused to deploy because "Obama is not a natural born citizen."


I really don't see a courts martial in his future. At worst, they'll make him take the facebook page down.
