Too bad my internet is too fucking slow to properly use that streaming.

And source 2 means new games, so yeah!

CS:GO is a pretty new game and it's getting more and more popular. So you can probably take that one off the list.

Yeah, but who knows, maybe we'll see it in a few years!

I'm personally looking forward to a potential Left 4 Dead 3 and Portal 3!

Source 2 is only slightly interesting until it proves itself next to UE4, lol.

But the rest is really neat! I'm excited to see the VR controls in action.

I put Source 2 as the most important news cause honestly I think it's a pretty big deal. Considering there were leaks far back and that they decided to officially announce it that pretty much guarantees new game announcements this year. This is the closest we can get, dudes.

For you.
Dont they do this already for free?

No, they don't give you a second machine for free. You need have one in the first place to do this. Which is why this is great if you are just interested on streaming games to any parts of your house. You don't need a second PC to do it now, you can buy a cheap 50$ device.

So with steam link i would be able to stream content/games from my PC downstairs to my TV/xbox/tablet upstairs? If so, where can I get one? So sold.

Well, until they demo it. Chances are when they do it'll just be Dota 2 though :(

Ah shit, ethernet and USB ports? So I can plug directly into my network and keep a dedicated controller and even a wireless mouse and keyboard for games that need it? Holy shit.

If I can broadcast non Steam games I will be there immediately.

You can stream them to any device that runs Steam, right now. Steam Link is just a very inexpensive box that does that.

Steam Link sounds nice but as with all the previous streaming devices, I'll have to see how well it works.

Can't wait for overpriced Alienware crap.

Best case: Half-Life something
Reality: Left 4 Dead 3
Worst case: DOTA2 Source 2 port and Ricochet 2

(Ohhhshiii, imagine if the Black Mesa guys have been super quiet because Valve tasked them to port it to Source 2...)

if they werent focusing so much on hardware this GDC i'd honestly guess we'd get a new game announcement to accompany Source 2 like.. today

Ohh OK I get it, sounds pretty awesome, when is it launching and does it have price? I guess it only supports a team games right? Would I be able to use an xbone with it?.

I hope once xbone get windows 10 it can run steam.

  • Being coy on Source 2 you cheeky fucks! I'm sure they'll have more info soon enough
  • How on Earth does Lighthouse function? Is this some propriatery tech? How much is a minumum of arbitrary?! Very curious
  • Steam Link has solved so many problems I was having! Now I'm not sure if I should be making a mITX machine at all, and going bigger while serving content everywhere else!
  • Damn I need more VR info!

Steam Link is $50, and you can actually do in-home streaming with some non-Steam games. Ships in November.
