Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
The game's out in a week's time and it feels like there's absolutely no excitement for it.

How many folks here are looking forward to it?

I loved Still Wakes the Deep so I'm in eventually. Looks like there's DLC I would want, and it's not a Play Anywhere title. So I might as well wait and pick it up in a year or two off one of the PC stores.

If people absolutely rave about it, I could be persuaded. Vampires in October is always fun, but I'm definitely not short on games to play at the moment.

The first one is easily in my top 3 favorite games. But due to all of the controversy and the developer change on this one, I'll be waiting for reviews and gameplay impressions before even considering it.

Game is based on 5th edition, has plot armor via hand mark that largely negates risk of breaking Masquerade, the prequel story DLC releases in the 3rd quarter(for everything) of 2026 meaning it's best to wait for sale and the game isn't going to be anything like Redemption or Bloodlines.

Game is trying to sell itself on "Bloodlines" name brand instead of calling it VtM: Nomad.

Will be very divisive.

The first proper gameplay video they showed a good while back left me very pleasantly surprised. The one in the warehouse where a lot ot the powers are being demoed back to back.

The recent previews from a couple of months ago seem to suggest theres not much RPG to it or its quite limited in what you can do to solve each situation but that doesn't really bother me too much tbh, I find RPGs overwhelming.

The concept of the detective in your head is good and the way it was visualised is very nice.

I just want fun combat, good enough characters who are well mocapped and a decent story. My only real worry is the constant neck biting animation, that could get old really fast.

If anyone thats more closely following the videos can contradict my issues/worries above then go ahead, I'd appreciate it. Taking on new information is a bit hard for me rn.

I am interested in the game but will get it eventually on a sale.

Farthest frontier is releasing next week and it is most likely going to consume majority of free time for the rest of the year( will really recommend it if you are a fan of city builders).

I just remember the review outlets I trusted back in the day unanimously panned the original. Wasn't until a decade later and after a lot of community work that everybody started saying it was a great game.

Maybe this will be the same way. However, from what I've read, I wouldn't be too stoked.

Hope I'm wrong.

I bought it years ago (left over money on GOG) and gave up hope already that this thing is even going to release. What I saw sofar doesnt look too shabby and this whole vampire clan thing is pretty interesting and not completely overused as so many other stuff nowadays. I will jump in right away.

Well that explains why a bunch of streamers are suddenly playing the first one.

I stopped paying attention to this game once the devs threw Chris Avellone under the bus.

Likely after ninja gaiden 4 completion. May grab it same time as arc raiders, but if it reviews poorly then I'm out.

Looks as promising as Dead Island 2 did after turmoil in development and that game is good AA fun.

It's only £50? I mean they DID add the other two races in the main game. So I gotta respect it.

First game is honestly top 5 WPRGs of all time for me. Talent won't be there but the atmosphere might be.

Might buy it on a whim when I get paid.

Not me. Don't like what they did with the original staff, don't like The Chinese Room, and thought the recent footage looked pretty bad. While I'd love to be wrong, I have no faith in this being good. It feels like an unforced disaster of Paradox's own making that they're just desperate to finally push out the door.

What have they done to the orginal staff?

Still need to play the first one. Have read its not even that long (30-40hrs). Anyone knows if the GOG version together with the "unofficial patch" is everything you need? Or something else required/recommended?

Looked like shit when they first showed off gameplay but they've won me over with these clan demonstrations

I just can't imagine that it will come near the greatness of the first game in any way, shape or form. If it's not better, I don't want to play it.

I'll await impressions (and judgements) from the fans but yeah.. Probably no.

Original game is 10/10 masterpiece. It came out same day as Half Life 2, and it was better than Half Life 2.

However, I am not particularly optimistic about Bloodlines 2, given that it has no people from original team making it, and the original writer was fired.

That said, I have the premium edition preordered, because after all, it is Bloodlines 2, sequel I never really expected to get, there is still a chance it will be a good game, and the steelbook and extras are nice.

I do not really expect super faithful sequel of similar quality, but if it is a fun urban action game with RPG elements, that would still be nice. There are so few games set in present day that aren't military shooters.

I played Everybody's Gone to the rapture from The Chinese Room and enjoyed it. I'm somehow interested by the IP.

So I will see. I'm interested by the game, but I almost never play games at launch, so I will wait for a sale, like for any other game.
