Annoying that they prioritized some sort of magic girl drama CD over seemingpy actually RELEVANT drama CD- Also no Vita stretch goal, UUUUUGGGGHHHH.

It's an option on Windows to make the text look bigger. It causes problems with a bunch of visual novels. If you go to a program's executable, right click (or the equivalent), go to properties, the compatibility tab, and check "disable display scaling at high DPI settings" you can turn it off.

Right click on the desktop, select Display Settings. Top line should talk about size of text, etc. Further, scroll down and select advanced display settings. Make sure your tablet is set at right display resolution.

I have a Surface Pro 3 and ran Steins;Gate, Clannad and Cho Dengeki Stryker on it with no problems but it's fairly small sample size.

1 weird bad route doesn't cancel the rest of the game.
Bad written routes happens quite often.

Majikoi is harmless fun , especially in the common route...

One could even say that what made majikoi popular is that common route. because let's face it that cast is quite fun to follow.

Sure One route had a theme that one could dislike ..OK
Doesn't make the whole game worthless.

I was on VNDB and many seem to think the people bothered by that one route, were taking it too seriously.

And yeah, Yuuichi's comment... I've got nothing. Except maybe, that's an incredibly disrespectful thing to say.

Found a YouTube video regarding the DPI settings and it fixed most games, except for Higurashi, which is still not responding to my touch, and Analogue, which seems to respond to the touch after fifteen seconds.

Problem is that everything is mighty minuscule now, I can barely touch the right icons and buttons on the screen since they're so small. Can I use a different resolution, would it help with that?

You shouldn't change your universal DPI settings because of games, just disable the scaling on a per game basis like I mentioned above.

Then he rapes Chris, but it's OK because "it's not rape if she enjoys it" or whatever. In a later scene Margit walks in on them having anal sex and freaks out, so Chris tells Yamato that he should stick it in Margit's ass so that she sees how good it is. Then Yamato rapes Margit, but it's OK because "it's not rape if she enjoys it" or whatever.

tl;dr Majikoi is a terrible awful no-good game.

Just sounds like a stereotypical cheap hentai plot.

Euphoria is definitely more objectionable, though the justification is better.

The problem is that I can't find the file you mentioned, since they're Steam games and all I can find are scattered files on the Steam file.

Every game still has an .exe in Steam\steamapps\common. Like HigurashiEp02.exe here:

The story is not worth it, IMO. Nothing against the adaptation itself, the source material is just bad.

I think I've seen it cheaper in the US, if you could import it. Since you're using euro, I'd have to know the average for the price in Europe, but since I can't, I think you'll just have to do the research and see if it's a good price locally.

The tablet itself doesn't seem to be that bad, if you're only thinking of running visual novels.

FWIW, I'm still in the common route and it's enjoyable (LOL Miyako)... so far. I'll save my judgment after I finish the game. If I even finish it, that is. From the strong reactions here, it's probably safe to say that some of the stuff really does get to some people. I'm curious to see which side I'll end up in.

Sorry I don't like things that justify rape, it just goes against my personal value set.
Ultranationalism I can deal with, especially since I'm bombarded with it what feels like every day living in the US.

As for the people comment, if you disagree you either have an incredibly optimistic disposition (which I respect, even though it's something I cannot begin to imagine having) and/or have never worked in a retail environment. Trust me, there's no faster way to lose faith in the intelligence of the average individual than a retail type job.

People have low standards when it comes to porn and a lot of people are only interested in Majikoi for the waifus. I don't mind sex or even rape scenes in VNs at all, but Majikoi has this underlying "giving them what they really want/deserve" undertone to some scenes that comes off as really scummy. The fact that the sorts of scenes you'd only expect out of a crap nukige are in a game with decent to good production values and a very recognizable voice cast makes it somehow worse.

Almost as bad: Despite being known for VA gags only one of the gags is good, and that's only because it's a VA gag that's a reference to an already good VA gag.

They haven't been putting out updates for it in their weekly translation updates because they're just editing the script, not retranslating. Work is ongoing, but MangaGamer hasn't said where they're at. I wonder if they will try to release it in bigger chunks to avoid the issues they've had with Higurashi.

I listened to most of it. You seem real eager for the day where you'll finally be able to date those Vita plans. It's good to hear that Visual Arts seems pleased with Clannad's sales.

Thanks Basileus, that worked wonderfully! Everything is perfect now, except for Grisaia that isn't displaying the icon for the game, just a white file, but that's just cosmetic. I wonder if I should uninstall and install it again.

I'm glad it worked. I'm not sure what would make the icon disappear though.

Excited to hear your impressions later! I'm by no means a fan of eroge or gore porn or anything like that but I'm not squeamish either, so if there's a crazy plot with twists that actually pay off, I'd love to give Euphoria a try.

I can afford $40 but not sure I can justify $100 for a physical copy, even if its in 3 months time :( $40 seems quite a lot for just a digital copy TBH even though I'm pretty sure I will like the game.

The smartest thing about Euphoria is that sick shit could be your biggest fetish or FUCKING DISGUISTING EWWWWWWW NO, but the VN works both ways.
