It's hit a wall really early in the KS. I don't think it will make it unless they get some press coverage or something to stir up attention.

I'm not surprised. Apart from it needing some press coverage I also feel the pledge tier they went with to not be all that well thought of. As far as I'm concerned, I might back later on, but nothing in there made me want to really throw my money in, especially not at a high tier. Not all KS can be like the MuvLuv one, obviously, but still it didn't strike me as backing getting me something.... special. Well, apart from getting the game localized, I guess.

So MG seems to have deardrops and the sequel/sidequell. Are these any good? I really enjoyed Kira Kira when I played it on iOS (80% for the music).

The rest of Mangagamer site is a bit......

Edit: so I checked out Libra Kickstarter. It sound pretty bad.

"“Libra” is a moe love story filled with fun and comedy, wrapped in a chunibyou style, vampire-battling universe. You play the main character, Shuma Kusanagi, as he struggles to uncover a secret about his birth after being bitten by a two thousand year old vampire."

I am fairly certain there got to be an anime or manga (more then one probably) with this sort of premise.

MG's site needs a redesing ASAP, and I think they're aware of that themselves, but iirc there's a reason why they can't create/deploy a new one. Don't ask me for specifics, however, because I don't remember them.

It's a question of money. Web development can be expensive. They did just redo their blog, so maybe they'll tackle the main site/storefront next.

Well, yes, proper web design is expensive, but even couple of interns could do better. They do have all ages section but for example Deardrops were in the main adult one and man, they really need the change out the site or separate non porn stuff out.

Anyway, Deardrops plus the sequel for under $40 doesn't seem too bad.

Those weren't handled by me and I think done by the developer... I'll look into it for you and see if we could add anything to it.

Oh and Basileus

I keep seeing a bunny sitting in a box every day now. But next week I hear he'll come out and meet everyone.

No worries.

I was just wondering, since the jellyfish background the game offers is beautiful.

They used to separate out the adult stuff, but it was really clunky and hurt discovery on their store so they stripped it out. MangaGamer is run on a really small budget and almost all of their employees are freelancers/contract workers, so they might just not have anyone who knows how to design a website.

It's a good deal. I actually preferred Deardrops to KiraKira because it focuses more on the music aspect and the sequel is a nice crossover with KiraKira.

Tried Euphoria over the weekend. Played a huge chunk of it (Got to true route or something) No offense to those who liked it but i just couldn't bring myself finish it as I was getting more and more disgusted at the stuff that was happening.

I know about the "twist" but to me it just feels like a very very convenient way fit all the fetish-y nukige shit that the girls have to go through.

I highly recommend Read Only Memories to people who are okay with sex-free ADV game with a strong LGBT bias.

Good story so far, great writing, amazing pixel art and music to die for.

Seconding this, I started playing it the other day and it's a lot of fun and looks/sounds great. Haven't gotten stumped by any of the puzzles yet but I think it's more meant to be a VN/adventure game over PnC.

pro-LGBT bias, I meant.
Well, I'm aware the game is taking place in San Francisco, but still found it weird that just about every character is gay or lesbian.

Oh yeah, of course. That does sound like something that'd make me roll my eyes pretty hard, but ultimately wouldn't affect the story that much.

Added to the "where the fuck do I get more time to play/watch/read all this" list

FWIW, it's a really short game, compared to other VNs.
I've done 4 of six endings in about 10 hours. The last two require a new playthrough, but it shouldn't take longer than 3 hours, since you can just skip reading room/item description/interaction texts the second time you play the game.

Jesus fuck, euphoria
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SCENE AFTER NEMU'S FIFTH TURN, I MEAN WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT WITH RIKA AND RINNE, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, THAT'S ONE OF THE MOST DISGUSTING THINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN

Ahahahaha

Wait a minute, didn't you say in another thread you're 16? Why the hell are you playing Euphoria!?

You're not his mother. :p

I just find it amusing and try to think of what my reaction to Euphoria would be at 16.

On the other hand, I guess Pewdiepie has exposed his young audience to Boku no Pico, so it doesn't matter how young you are. If you're on the internet, you're gonna see some shit (literally in this case).

euphoria is CERTAINLY not for people below the age requirements.

To think that at this point , the game 's still calm with this , lol .. you're not ready for the rest of that route

This topic has made me want to avoid Euphoria, despite it being compared to Danganronpa :p I just reading the reactions and well, I'll click on spoilers out of curiousity's sake :x

A question. The Eiyuu Senki patch is out now it seems (ripped from the PS3 version). I got a cheap Eiyuu Senki Gold here in China, installed it and applied the patch. But somehow when I start the game it shows some error message in Japanese.

Do I have to change my system language to Japanese? :(

The only thing they have in common is that the whole premise of both games involve playing an "escape game".

DR2 & euphoria spoilers
I guess another similarity is that parts of the games (99% in DR2 and a large portion of euphoria) is basically set in a simulation.

Wait a minute, didn't you say in another thread you're 16? Why the hell are you playing Euphoria!?

I honestly view those age "requirements" as more of a recommended guideline. Otherwise I'd be unable to play like 95% of my favorite games.

Playing it because
1) It's new and there's quite a bit of talk about it
2) I'm utterly in love with the "stuck in a place and forced to play a game of death which has arbitrary rules" trope.
3) I wanted to see if I could stomach it.
4) I like horror. Thought I'd just view the sex as horror.
5) Probably more unsettling to play it at this age, aka a better experience (when viewed as a horror game)
6) Stuff I'd rather not say on a publicly viewable forum
7) I find sexual horror interesting. Coupled with reason #2 the game really had my attention.

Also LMAO this isn't ANYTHING like Danganronpa. Not even close.

as for my opinion on euphoria so far (all routes except true completed)
I think the sexual horror part is decent. I did like most h-scenes for being what I was looking for, that being disgusting and/or morbidly creative contraptions for rape. Natsuki's route was pretty shit in that regard, way too tame. It's overall a bit too repetitive, would be nice to see some other plot points in the "facility" part of the routes and some more character interactions, unfortunately Rika deciding to cling to someone or another is pretty much as far as route diversions get. Rinne's whipping and Nemu's "human toilet" and the aforementioned scene with Rinne and Rika were the standouts, alongside Class Rep.

The "story" part is actually rather interesting. Nemu's route was especially interesting in that regard, especially the flashback mess right before the end which reminds me of I/O more than it should. That said, it was very intriguing especially in light of some grave spoilers I have of the game (god forbid I just go to /jp/ to see some funny shitposting for once). That said, the said spoilers are fucking mindboggling anyways with relation to what I've seen so far, so I'm not too miffed about it. As an aside, fuck Rika. It might have been years since I wanted to bitch-slap a character so hard.

The main menu track has no right to be as good as it is.

Visual Arts has delayed Harmonia to Spring 2016.
`Harmonia` delay announcement

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we decided to delay `Harmonia` to Spring 2016 to ensure the quality of the game.

We apologize to all our fans who looked forward to play the game during the holidays. We will do our best getting the game done as fast as possible.

I'm not surprised given how silent they've been about this recently despite it's supposed release date.

I actually got spoiled on something in Euphoria as well before I played it. I was upset about that, but as I played through the game, I started to think the spoiler must have been wrong because I had no clue how they could have it make sense. It eventually did, but getting to that point definitely left me guessing.
