Looks like it didn't take you too long, unless you read all day erry day?
No I took a lot of long breaks, it definitely wasn't long. Only time I played all day was yesterday because it got heated up towards the climax, couldn't stop. It's mostly chill so I wasn't in the mood to play it nonstop aside from certain points.

In a wink of madness I bought the indiegala eroge-bundle yesterday. What have I done? (And why did I stat Demon Master Chris on hard mode?)

What happened to Muv Luv The Day After translation project?

Please don't tell me its canceled :/

I need the final episode dammit, even with machine translation its incredible.

Well MLA Chronicles, includng TDA0, is out. The part of Chronicles 2 that is TDA01, is out, with the final patch for the rest of the game not yet done. So, no, it's not cancelled.

So Fault Milestone Two is coming out tomorrow. Way to stealth release it.

G-senjou no Maou is supposedly coming soon too, they are just fixing bugs.

WHAT ? Tomorrow !!

WTF i need to be ready for part 2 after the excellent start of the demo ( demo of part 2 )

I'm kinda busy with too many games ATM, but Hey , fault millestone 2 is worth it for me. i just wish i could mark the date on my calendar in advance.( poor backlog )

Stealth release indeed! Still need to play my copy of 1. Has Sekai said anything about Fault-Silent the Pendant? They mentioned it during the KS and I haven't seen anything since.

Silence the Pedant is coming out next, before the next main sequel. They talk about it a bit here.

Yeah but that's a good thing, hope they take the time and make sure everything is good. It's not a guarantee that it'll be funded

Can't help but feel worried, I'd really like this one to succeed

If it's easy to fund, that's all the more reason why they should make sure they do it right so they won't throw away this chance

So 250k for MLA? It'll make that.

The amount of money they're asking for something that is already translated is pretty excessive though. $250k for some engine improvements, editing, and the licenses? And the stretch goals get worse with that.

It seems they're backporting the PS3 version (HD assets, voiced Takeru, moving mouths for Extra/Unlimited) and updating the menu/interface and hopefully a CG, BGM and scene viewer.

They posted a cost breakdown:

Porting console/handheld versions is pretty standard stuff. For comparison Grisaia did that too and asked for half the amount to do three games, two of which needed to be localized from scratch.

The content in question that would be translated at 500K is actually quite a lot of side material that hasn't been touched by any translators before, but only in print form. You'd need money to pay people to rearrange it in a digital format and to translate hundreds and hundreds of pages of content.

From what I understand the "Photon" fandiscs are also pretty sizable. One is the main part of the Muv Luv Supplement fandisc (afterstories for the Extra routes), and the other is the main part of Altered Fable without the porn. Both of them also have a collection of stories that were included in various other Muv Luv spinoffs. I hope it gets this far just for the chance of seeing Grandpa Raideen and Uncle Grendizer in English.

To be fair, we don't have cost breakdowns on most projects, so it's tough to tell. I'd love to see some kind of accounting requirement for KSs, but that'll never happen. It might be a situation where one engine is surprisingly tricky to port. Maybe the Grisaia people invested their own cash and only asked for part or expected to make it up on future sales. It's really impossible to compare two projects unless you have a full accounting of their dev costs.

Yeah, I missed seeing Integral Works at 500k. That's sizable, probably more localization work than the base game will require if they're just editing Ixrec.

It won't make the 720k goal though. I don't see much chance it exceeds Clannad.

It seems they're not just editing Ixrec's translation:
With more than 2.7 million Japanese characters, Muv-Luv is a huge project to translate. We're assembling a joint task force to tackle this. A mix of dedicated fan translators and professional translators from Japan will work directly with the creator of Muv-Luv to ensure the highest quality translation for this release.
Of course, it could also be PR speak but professional translators from Japan makes it seem like a big effort. Ixrec fucked up some stuff in the translation too that has to be re-checked.

It won't make the 720k goal though.

And I don't think it'll make the $600k goal either. I hope it at least reaches $500k, the lore stuff is something fan translators won't touch in a long time (if ever) and the side stories are in some way or other already on PC so Alternative Translations will eventually pick them up.

Well that changes things. Though I hope they're getting native English speakers to work on this as the results are rarely pretty otherwise when it comes to VNs. See Mangagamer's early products.

It'd be nice to see that. Though I'm skeptical that Degica has the social media presence to push the KS like Sekai Project has.

Isn't Sekai Project helping with presence already? They lend Degica their panel to announce the ML KS after all. âge apparently did some marketing in Japan explaining how the Japanese can benefit from the KS too (and I guess that confirms the original Japanese text will be included with the release).

Saw this cabinet at a Miami arcade, never actually played the game before.

(Forgive the Vita pics)
The story seems fun, for a fighter.

Gil is so OP. Rin and Shirou not so much. Got as far as Rider in arcade mode. Gil's mid-game boss was (Heaven's Feel spoilers)
demi-Sakura.

What's it called? Screens are too blurry to tell. For a second I thought Grand Order but that's not a fighting game and it's also mobile not arcade.

It's Unlimited Codes, we got the PSP version localized(but it's now out of print).

I played that after I finished the Fate route, and I was absolutely terrible. Then again, I suck at fighting games in general, especially 3D ones. :p On that note, I wish Extra CCC could get localized. Or even the Tiger/Colleseum games. I picked up Extra in a PSN sale, so I should play that one of these days. I'm holding out on H/A until the voice patch is done.

Funny that the game is pretty much a massive HF spoiler considering who the big bad is(and she's even in the banner). The place has a lot of Type-Moon fans, some of them were playing it and were monsters at the game. (Arcade Odyssey also has a massive Melty Blood scene.)

Also, we're working on a fan translation of CCC(very very very slowly).

Happy to hear this news , do take your time to do it well .

I wasn't particularly interested in Grisaia-whatever until I read this quote on tvtropes

One of the darker VN's you will probably ever read, with plenty of disgusting and horrible things happening.

Is this true? Haven't read, played or watched anything dark and depressing in a while, would be a nice change of pace. Happy or at least bittersweet endings are nice, though, unless I really hate the character(s).

e: grisaia no kajitsu, it says right there on the tvtropes tab lol

Well I've definitely read darker things, but it does have its share (one or two routes in particular, the rest are mostly safe feelgood drama). But more than half the game is slice of life comedy.

When it gets dark it gets dark though.
