Downloaded ninja gaiden.

Played and enjoyed it for about 10 minutes

Got stuck with no idea what to do and it's not as good at ng2

Uninstalled

Flying-Hamster-HD_2.jpg

Flying Hamster was probably the Mini that made me take the platform seriously, as one that could deliver pretty original, fun games. I have to figure out where to squeeze in my double-dip, between all these current game sales...

i got the A+ trophy in hotline miami before actually getting all A+'s. it didn't feel right so i went and got the rest i needed anyways. feels good.

After having to add a new page for the July PS+ games I actually counted all my games. Including Psp and PSone games I currently have 31 games on my vita and 500mb on my 32GB card left. Need to finish some games for once in order to clear some space :/

jusst bought a vita case from hmv (uk) £12.99 not bad space for 16 games and probably can double up those spaces to 32 if you tried, no space for adapter or anything else than vita or games so its not ideal for travelling with, i didn't mind because i don't take mine out

we really need 64gb cards considering sony were puhing digital and with ps+ they should know that but eh they have nothing

...and a prompt end to the 100 app limit.

Dudes, I still can't get Gun Commando to play, and whenever I delete it, it takes forever like it's all bugged out and wormed into the system. I'm gonna have to try and get a refund.

I'd be peeved about that One Piece game only getting a localization on 3DS if it wasn't supposedly butt. I will cry to Shahid when that happens to the Digimon PSP games though.

Oh, and I'm kind of surprised the new Love Plus isn't on Vita.

we need to ask someone about 64gb cards and the 100 app limit on twitter

i have asked several times without a response but this time i asked nicely if they could forward it to the appropriate department

@yosp @shahidkamal

Famousmortimer told us the 4GB card is being phased out and a 64GB card will come, we just don't know when.

That will probably come when the PS4 is released, since the PS4 is getting a friendslist increase.

You know what would be cool?

If when ps4 comes out the streaming feature works in vita too. Then people could stream vita games and use the direct feed footage

Wow, I hate that trophy images don't load if you switch memory cards that don't have the game on it. WTF, Sony. You can't pull those from PSN?

eh, i guess

i never saw the appeal of streaming games / watching other people play games

Me neither, but it's big business apparently.

I think it says a lot about the state of the gaming industry that many people prefer to watch other people play games than actually play them themselves.

So can someone tell me where the preception that indie games on Vita are more expensive then the PC, or 360 versions is coming from. Just doing some research here and here is what im seeing

Hotline Miami: $10 on steam, Same on Vita
Thomas was alone: $10 on steam, Same on Vita
Stealth Bastard : $10 on steam, Same as Vita
Spelunky: $15 on 360, likely the same on Vita, and PC(not confirmed though)
Retro City Rampage: $15 on Steam, Same on Vita
Lone Survivor regular : $10 on steam, same for Vita Directors cut.

All of these are also YOPO, and this is just doing so lite searching. The only exception I can see here is that people are counting indie bundles because the base price is the same on each platform. The only exception I found was Limbo which is $5 cheaper on steam.

A little off topic, but the Ninja Gaidens have bad controls? Are they just bad ports?

What about Rayman?

Been really leaning towards getting a Vita, but NGs being bad would suck.

So Unit 13 is pretty damn good. Great missions, nice variety and the online co-op works a treat as well.

Well worth it.

Rayman Origins is one of my favourite Vita games - controls are slick. I do prefer to use the d-pad rather than the left stick for moving though.

rayman origins is one of the best platform games ever made

i think dumb people are confused by the relevancy of steam sale prices

I dont know about NG, but Rayman Origins is fantastic on Vita. I cant wait legends.

The ninja gaiden games are fossils of another era. Avoid them like the plague.

Rayman is incredible.

Says a bad player.

At person asking: Avoid them only because their terrible ports on the system. Get the X-box versions if you can.

Don't know if it's a bad port or what but it was not satisfactory to play. Just horrible.
Rayman, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of that. Super tight controls and real fun everything. One of the greatest games of this generation!

Nonsensical story, incredibly dated save system, horrible art direction, abominable camera,

But the combat system is so good! Yet when anyone ask for tips it's always "just spam flying swallow -> UT", rinse and repeat.

I'm not saying run out and buy them, but both the Ninja Gaiden games are fine. As ports, 1 has to load between major areas sometimes, and 2 takes a framerate hit. That's it.

They are what they are in terms of the design they released with originally + some minor tweaks from the PS3 "Black/Sigma" ports. As far as 1 goes, it was an incredible game for it's time and still holds up very well. It was a system seller for the original X Box, one of the best examples of rebooting or bringing an old ip into a new generation in 3D. A classic that shouldn't be crapped on by people experiencing it for the first time and expecting a bleeding edge experience... the difficulty of the game should make you always take wholly negative opinions with a grain of salt.

I think it's fine to have any of all the best games ever released in portable form. They might not quite be MGS 2 & 3, but those games aren't looking and feeling too hot these days either.

Brand new Vitabro here...wife surprised me with one for father's day. With the exception of the battery being rather weak, I'm absolutely loving it.

Plus is amazing. I have more games on the system right now than time to play them.

I just completed Hotline Miami earlier, and can confirm that after ten seconds to adjust to the touch screen lock on option, it really is better than the PC version.

Also, for anyone on the fence about Mortal Kombat, I've been playing the story mode pretty much all afternoon and it's a superb game. I highly recommend it for $5.

Lastly, and this is most likely the benefit of buying a Vita in 2013 versus earlier, but I'm not sure what all the talk about lack of games is about. I already have 13 games on the system (thanks again, Plus) which is more than I own anywhere other than Steam. I can see myself accumulating lots more in the coming year.

Good guy Agent White. Accidentally gets trophy before meeting requirements, fills out requirements anyway.

oh you know me, just going out of my way to murder more people :P

Ugghh im stuck on chapter 11... that second section, hard to get a combo going, what mask did you use Agent?

zack mask. try to get the best combo you can on a floor. if you mess up a combo or feel you can do better die on purpose and keep retrying the floor. that way your finishing a level with all your best attempts.

you can fully combo the first floor. bring a nearly/fully loaded gun to the second floor and take alerted enemies out as they come in through the door. you should at least get a 7-8 combo.

Finally beat Lost Halidom (Barich take 2) in Final Fantasy Tactics. This was undoubtedly the hardest fight in the game for me, almost ridiculous. I had to experiment a lot here. The fights after were literally a joke.

Anyways onto MGS HD.

Humble Bundles. Can't compete when you can buy like 3-4 indie games for 1$ like some do.

Man. Farming Simulator is the same as the android version. On the play store they are selling it for $1, and on PSN its $10.

I think I'mma wait for a sale.

Sounds like that would just be a comaint against indies on consoles in general not the Vita alone. These prices are also set by the devs on Psn now so if thats what they would like for their game I dont really have an issue paying it as long as the game is good.

Console prices will likely never be as good as PC.
