For anyone that's wondering, the Guacamelee DLC is totally worth it for a measly $2.99.

It's a bunch of challenge rooms but they r quite fun.

How do you get there by the way? I didn't spend too long to figure it out, but I didn't really want to, lol. I wanted to just hit a button on the menu and go there.

Man, I really can't get in to Soul Sacrifice.

I'm probably 5 or 6 hours in now and it just feels like all of the bosses are easy as hell, but take WAY too long to kill. I feel like i'm just mindlessly and skilllessly mashing on them while occasionally rolling out of the way of something bigger.

Is there some method of damage boosting of my spells that i'm missing here, or if I don't like it by now should I just stop? Shame I don't like it but if it's just going to be more of this I'm gonna just delete it and stop trying.

What are your build levels? Sigils? Spells and levels?
All that stuff matters. Using stuff the enemy is weak to... getting it put into elemental hell. Breaking it out of that hell with the proper counter element. Hitting it's weak points for massive damage.
Not taking allies helps too, if possible and you have enough skill to not die and need reviving.

Just fast travel back to the town and act like your going to the caverns. It should show on your map when u bring it up.

The DLC area is greyed out and I can't go to it.

Downloading a bunch of demos to check shit out now I have some space..

So far - Sound Shapes and Soul Sacrifice - recommend me some hidden gems Vita bros!

Has anyone ever accurately been able to extrapolate the review data into sales numbers? For example, if Hotline Miami has been reviewed 890 times on the Vita, how many sales could we estimate from that? Something like 10,000?

A few different people have said there is no rhyme or reason to ratings and amount sold. There are games with low ratings that sold 20x as much and there are games where 75% of the people rated it.

HLM has a leaderboard though, doesn't it?

Well, that's a shame. I'd be really interested to know the sales numbers of a lot of these games. I'm sure certain genres get a way higher number of reviews per each one sold. And, yes, HLM does have leaderboards. Haven't had a chance to really check them out yet though.

Just got a 16 GB card, and god damn do I feel guilty at the price. About time I got one though, my Vita's not been used since I got it a year ago.

I'm 11 good/14 evil right now. I'm using a damage boosting +20% sigil, and a throwing damage booster one and a +100 base health one.

The spells I have mostly all at 2 stars right now. The ones I use regularly anyway. The fire motor ones, ice shards and ice sword, and thunder axe ones are some mainstays.

And yeah, I've been hitting their weaknesses. Why would not taking allies help? Wouldn't that just make things take longer?

Allies, whether AI or human add to a bosses health and increase it rather quickly. There's a reason that Agent and I were able to destroy the Phoenix in Avalon IX or X (time limit) when we gave it a shot after Cyborg dropped. It's because it had at least 1/3 less health and we were still doing the crazy insane 99:1 with the resolute sigil damage. Attempts with Cyborg, who was playing more neutral at the time, ended up being less successful most of the time.

Usually, I take a single ally if playing single player in the Avalon pacts and I'm worried I might get downed.

Going without allies may speed up the process because the health of the boss increases with each ally and they may not fully pull their weight in damage meaning overall the total damage of the party is the same but the boss will now take longer to kill.

So I just got a 2nd Mem Card.

How can I share my Games (Digital Downloads/PS Plus) with another profile?

Or is it limited to only actual game cards?

When I was grinding to get the trophy for getting to level 99 in good or evil, I followed Agent's lead and did the Hydra in Avalon IX or X. I was killing it solo with resolute sigil in less than 2 minutes and that thing is like a 8-10 star pact.

Huh?

You can't share anything between profiles on a Vita.

You can either put a different account for a different region on the secondary memory card and use the formatting process to switch your Vita's region/account or you can load it up with more games on your same account. There is no sharing, unfortunately.

So if I have two cards I can just load a few more games on the other and just switch them out like a game card, no formatting required?

I think so. I don't have two cards, but the people in here seem to say yes although sometimes it screws with bubble placement a little.

Nah, it's 7 stars. 8-10 is not in the story. Hydra is super easy with fire.

I was talking about Avalon IX or X -- Desert Hydra.
Edited the other post to specifically state Avalon. :P

For reference, it was this one:
http://soulsacrifice.wikia.com/wiki/A_Hydra_Hydrated

And the one Agent was using was this one, which was in VIII:
http://soulsacrifice.wikia.com/wiki/Desert_Hydration

I also used this one, I think:
http://soulsacrifice.wikia.com/wiki/Snake_Tartare

All 8-10 stars. And I think most of the time, I had them done solo in less than 3 minutes.
The point being that if you're decked out for damage you can kill things rather quickly. Which was mullet2000's original concern.
Speaking of, 11:14 doesn't sound terribly far in the story. Also, if you want things to die quicker and you want to add more challenge so the game is interesting, drop that life level. ;)

Obviously the allure of being a Vitabro is what brought me.

And the showering is about to start, just filled the memory card with demos to check out what I've missed on.

honestly i dont think most of the demos do the games justice...

for example the sonic racing demo has a crappier framerate that got patched. i believe the sly4 demo is just another gimped tutorial version, whereas the game is actually significantly better.

and for the soul sac demo, make sure to play MP in it.. last i heard MP was removed from the demo, so if you can't play MP don't judge it on PS alone..

but enjoy and get ps+ and reap the rewards!

Wtf, Dungeon Hunter has suddenly become the most popular game played on my Near.

there's also a guy in my area who has only played Let's Fish and nothing else lol

Man Stealth Bastard really is just awesome. It is getting pretty challanging, but usually I just put it down when I get frustrated with a difficult spot play, or do something else, and then come back to beat it fresh.

Looking forward to seeing whats waiting in the final stages, as I would say the difficulty starts to ramp up in sector 3.

has anyone played silent hill multiplayer yet?

is there a recommended level before i jump into it?

how do i know if i have the latest patch?? i don't see the orange symbol with a downward arrow on it so i assume the patch downloaded when I got the game from the store automatically.

We've got to be getting some word on Lone Survivor soon I'd imagine. Still primed as an August release right? I want that game dammit!

Yeah, Curve themselves said it would be august, and with how great the port of stealth bastard turned out im really excited to get it. They said the reason its taking alittle longer is due to all the content that Jasper added in the directors cut.

Next two months atleast are looking pretty good for my vita.

Multiplayer is fun when you get 3 others, Sometimes you do higher missions depending on the host but you also get good weapon pickups that you wouldnt have being early in the game. Give it a shot i played with some people who were past me but we all helped each other.

Good good. August is a relatively quiet month, so I'd hate to see the game even further delayed to September; a month where SHIT IS HAPPENING!

Simple rule I was going to use:
If you haven't beaten the area in the main story, you shouldn't be jumping into that area online.
I saw some dude in area 120. I promptly DID NOT join him.

Other than that, the only suggestion I'd make is that if you want the trophies for mp, you need to be level 13 or higher.

My rule for people on my friends list was going to be the person with the lowest level should pretty much choose the zone.

I'm currently level 19, up to zone 22.

word. thanks for the advice. maybe we should get a gaf room up sometime in the near future?

let's get a room going tonight.

8:30 EST work for everyone?

we can hit up the 3rd animal club lobby?

another tip ( if you're not above it) is to use easy mode... it allows you to focus and get better without the stress of competition from cheating ai. I got almost all of the stars without easy mode, and then halfway through going for crowns i threw on easy mode, and it really makes it a world of difference and more enjoyable in my eyes. now whether i need easy mode or not ive kept it on.

theres GREAT page someone once posted in an old thread explaining the game in depth, but i failed to book mark it. I just know the website has a black background and lots of example images and math. maybe someone here has it still. might be lingering in the HSG OT.

i'd love to see that page someone posted.

BTW i'm all about easy mode. i find i shoot way better in easy mode than in normal mode. i really think it makes the game more enjoyable.
