Funnily enough, RE1-3 and the Spyro trilogy are the NSTC versions, why they didn't do something similar with the FF games is beyond me.

I was just about to point out that you were missing a few games coming out this month. Really excited for Spider-man, though I'm probably the only person in the world for whom that's a must-buy game.
Also excited about the fact that I just got a shipping notice for my 64GB. Can't wait to have more games on my Vita, and I'm really looking forward to getting some more PSM games.
Oh, and just in case anyone was wondering: OMG HD Zombies might be the worst game on the Vita. I'm still writing my review of it, but I honestly can't think of anything worse.

I pulled the release date from some news sites, but apparently they've been using the pending one from sites retailers like Amazon. I'll update it when we get official confirmation stating otherwise.

While I agree that PS plus does promote less sales I also think it's a good incentive for someone to buy into the Vita hardware.Not killing it for Vita owners who supported those games by buying them when they released. But for those people who slept on the quality games, apparently you have been rewarded.
Which reminds me, I need to DL all of the Souls Sacrifice DLC. Haven't played it since I beat it at launch.

Yeah I was referring to the yearly games, just a matter of phrasing as I thought, I thought that the yearly games were the entire "Instant Game Collection"

So I have a PS+ subscription for a while now and I have downloaded many games, like NFS:MW, DD
A, MGR etc. But i've never booted them up, just downloaded and installed. Now I have automatic downloads turned on (and yes, the game patches option is also enabled). Last week I played all these games for the first time (some games downloaded months before), but upon booting up these games, they all needed to be updated with patches.
So how does this automatic download work? Does it check my trophy list? Does it check for the save games? It sure doesn't only check my gamefolders or otherwise it would've downloaded the patches.

If you buy a game and a patch already exists, the latest patch is downloaded at the same time as the game, but the patch is only installed when you actually start the game.
And there is a invisible log of games played. They check the 30 latest ones (or something like that). At least on PS3, but I think it is the same on the Vita.
In all seriousness, it's one of my favourite games on the system. I was kinda skeptical when I imported it, but I thought it looked like fun and I wanted to take a chance on it. It's just really colourful and really fun.

I am considering it but I've had a good fill of a few hundred hours of MH4 just recently. If the vita version does multiplayer well through adhoc party I might (´・ω・`)
I don't think this is true though. Because when I booted up NFS:MW, it had to download a 2GB patch. Actually for all the games I booted up a patch needed to be downloaded.
A cool and useful feature, but unfortunately it never worked for me and Sony also never explained how it actually works.
There's always Valhalla Knights 3. Besides, there's still a decent chance that XSEED might eventually localize the Vita version since the 3DS game is already in the works.god damn that sounds awesome

It's not in English, but it's not hard to find your way around either. I've managed fine, although the story is totally lost on me.
I guess I'll have to do this, yeah. A lot of times I'll just go by screens and if the rating is like 3.5 or higher, I feel okay taking a chance without a demo, but I haven't yet. I'm ready to jump in, though.

Going digital would require you to switch accounts to a Japanese one. It's far easier to just import a physical copy.
Play-Asia is a good starting point.
Well, it's been a long time since I played, but I'm positive sure that I didn't downloaded 2GB. My memory card should warned me. But I notice that if you don't have the necessary space for the DL, they don't warn you of the patches.

Just remember that account switching takes like 5 to 10 minutes each way.

I think there might be some truth to that. I downloaded SFXT from PS+ on my PS3, and then transferred on my Vita. I noticed it copied a 39mb file prior to copying the game. No idea what it was about. I thought it was an update to content manager at first, but maybe not. But i never got asked to patch the game to the latest 1.08 version when i booted it on the Vita and it sure was already running that version.

If you don't have a Japanese credit card though you'll have to fill up with PSN cards. Closest increment is a 10,000 yen card or you can combine a 1,000 yen and 5,000 yen card, but will get you less per dollar at those increments.
