Vita PSN Game & Service Thread | November 2013 | Tearaway into a new world

Thank you for doing that. I don't care if all you want is goddamn Pixeljunk Racers on the Vita (which would be a dodgy experience at best btw)
https://twitter.com/dylancuthbert/status/396098414884028416

There's Pixeljunk Eden, Racers, Shooter 1&2, and Sidescroller to pick from. Not to mention Pixeljunk Inc is nowhere to be seen on consoles.

I've noticed an extreme lack of leaked Vita memory card sales in Black Friday ads and the like. Maybe wait for Cyber Monday? I really need at least 32GB seeing as how I really want to go all digital. Some part of me doesn't like tossing down $40-$60 for a game without proof of owning it but, these indie games are getting bigger and bigger. Plus, OllieOllie and TXK are coming out super soon apparently.

VitaGAF thread is one hell of a mishmash of American x Other x Japan culture... It's refreshing and scary.

WHY AM I MISSING SENRAN KAGURA TALK I AM THE CONNOISSEUR HERE

I'm buying Burst when it comes out, in the hopes that Xseed will localize Versus eventually.

Then again, someone on GameFAQs has been translating the story and has finished with two of the schools the last time I checked.

Why do they never make these games with boys :(
Well, it's not quite as "lively", but Aksys did put out the musou style hack n' slash otome game spin-off Hakuoki: Warriors of the Shinsengumi for PSP. It's probably the closest you're gonna get, unless you like visual novels.

Newegg's Black November thing has pre-orders for Injustice Vita and Demon Gaze at $34.99 using codes EMCWWXW98 and EMCWWXW97, respectively. It might be worth checking out if you want physical copies at a slight discount.

I was scrolling up to see what you said when you posted that gif but it wasn't even you and I was shocked.

So I'm about 65 hours into Perspna 4 Golden, I pretty much love it, a few cringe-worthy moments notwithstanding. To those who have beaten / platinumed the game, is there any reason to keep doing the side quests? I'm getting tired of revisiting the dungeons every single time and my personas are already quite overleveled. Will I miss anything significant by skipping some of the late game fetch quests?

What site are you ordering JP FFX from?

I used to have mine preordered at amiami but I canceled it thinking NA will get a physical release. But I'm starting to regret that now

I have the Vita Twin Pack preordered on Play Asia. Only got one game from them before and it was an overall good experience (I live in Peru - South America btw).

I will keep my preorder until I see what kind of packaging we get here. I want that JP package bad, so I will only cancel my preorder if we get the exact same here. And even so, I am planning to perhaps keep it only to be able to play the first couple of hours of X and see how it looks on Vita.

I can't believe I might end up quad-dipping on these games (PS3, Vita cart, Vita digital and perhaps JP Vita cart), but I really like them and I also want SE to bring XII and other games to Vita.

Those quests are pretty much useless unless it's something that's needed for one of the books. Follow a MAX SLINK with all books guide for your next playthrough and you'll be fine. Just make sure you try to get the Hardcore Risette trophy if you can now since you've already done a lot of grinding, by the sounds of it?

I usually do play Asia as my last resort but if it comes to it, I guess I'll be getting it there as well.

Yeah JP box art looks really beautiful. We are probably gonna end up getting something bland and ugly.

SE is going to end up eating my bank account these upcoming months
>Bravely Default
>TRFF Curtain Call
>Lightning Returns (JP & US)
>FFX/X-2HD (PS3, Vita, possibly JP physical)

been absent for a while, played blackgate almost done with it the game would be a complete disaster if it didnt have the Batman Arkham Branding. Feels so dumbed down :( Stay away from it till it hits at least $20

Why both JP and US Lightning Returns?

The last two days I have been playing a lot Quell Memento, is really a nice puzzle game, with a bit of narration the sets the mood. I think is one of those little know gems of Vita's catalogue.

It's a lovely little puzzler, although I felt its iOS roots shone through with the story - I'd have loved there to have been more meat than the few hints it did give you

Started Walking Dead today, I played a bit of the first episode on 360. While it looks the same it chugs badly during the first opening scenes. It recovers once you start to take some control.

^ shame really, I'm curious to give it a try, been meaning to get into more scary stuff but I don't want hiccups pulling me out of the immersion (might as well get scared properly). I heard there are freezes before scene loading? I find stuff like that jarring but if it's not too bad I'd want to dip in sometime.

I've been spending the whole day transferring stuff. 64 not enough :'( Will have to spread things to the new card, but at least I can have everything on cards, no longer in the cloud or holding onto my laptop hdd.

Very fun, wish I was there, thanks for posting.

I was getting worried about oddworld, no news for a while, thanks.

I can't decide. I prefer being all digital until someone posts a huge physical collection, and then I get pangs of regret. That said, I went digital largely because I was sick of seeing shelves full of video games. The grass is always greener...

Haha, yeah I know exactly what you mean. Digital is super convenient though, it's the right call with the Vita for me for sure, even the few retail games I have I'd like to go digital down the line. I can put up with a few retail cards in the time being.

Is Killzone any less laggy? I really hope they improve it, anyone having matches as smooth as they were in beta? not played for a while and been itching for some mp, soon as these transfers and downloads are done...

I'd imagine this happen in Japan frequently.

Guys, can you recommend me on some PS Vita grips?

For me, the best for comfort while gaming is nyko, looks a little lame though and doesn't feel as amazing (there is a version with a battery. You can find the version without easily, it's pretty generic and not necessarily by nyko. This was my first one, I bought 2 I liked it so much. Can't charge while playing without careful trimming of plastic (and then it jams the locking, but you can still take it out by bending the top, pretty flexible case but rigid too).

pdp trigger grips look awesome and feel pretty cool, just had to put a tiny bit of tape ontop of triggers to prevent scratching

hori grip is chunky, I had to put junk inside it to stop it sliding so easy but for some reason it has been my favourite for quite a while - perhaps because I've misplaced the others atm :)

they are all pretty good

=-=--=-
I spent the last two days finally giving the LBP level create mode a go, was itching to setup some random platforming bits, I could spend years in that thing

haha, I remember that, couldn't believe it came out in UK. Don't remember if I actually picked it up but the video is still ridiculous

Funny, I finally had the money to pick up a Vita today and what happens? It goes on sale on Amazon right now for $179.99, must have been fate :) Next week I shall join all of you in the sun.

Originally I was planning on grabbing The Walking Dead bundle, but I figured I could hold off on playing it in exchange for saving $20. Especially since it's not high on my list of games I want to play.

Is the guy from Nyarlu labs still here? Any updates on Forget-Me-Not? It's one of my favourite iOS games. Reeally want it on my Vita.

Thanks. I feel like I must be pretty close to Risette fan since she's announced most every type of enemy weakness and status and has all her abilities unlocked. Probably just need to swap out a party member or two.

i finally believe

soul sac is rad as fuck

Well...yeah...

I kid.

I haven't played in ages because it's such a time sink game, and I have such a big backlog of Vita games that I've been putting off some of my longer games to complete the shorter ones (ie, KZ: Mercenary).

I didn't expect to like Soul Sacrifice, since I'm not that big into the genre (I own Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite, and the lack of a story turns me off).

Soul Sacrifice is nothing like Monster Hunter, and it has a fascinating lore and story behind it, so I really dug it. I was surprised I was addicted to replaying levels to earn skills and max out my spells. It looks, runs, and feels really good, and I love the strategic element of the combat as well.

I'm so glad more people will get to play it thanks to PS+.

Forget the Senran Kagura talk, can we all agree that Rainbow Moon has hideously ugly art?

The arts not great, but it is a very good srpg that is packed with content. I hope they bring the Soldner X games to Vita as they said they were considering it. Rainbow Skies has also already been confirmed for Vita, so its nice not to have to wait on confirmation for that.

VitaBros assemble, is there a way to disable the "would you like to connect to WiFi" pop up or is it game enforced? Annoying as fuck, cost me goals, lives etc... really silly.
