People defending him are still not understanding. The issue isn't talking about sex, the issue is admitting to sexual assault.

Yeah when I first read this thread, my instinct was to go with the "just sex talk" angle too. But then I watched the video and I actually paid closer attention to what was being said. Then I realized how wrong I was. I used my brain, something some people seem to refuse to do if they already have an opinion on something.

I've been thinking... There's not much Trump can do to offend white males, can he? Like, he has offended minorities and women, but white males don't have any go-to slurs etc. do they?

DietRob

i've been begging for over 5 years.
Why is there a 5 mil fee? The hell?

Because when you are with a production company you sign contracts. It appears that in those contracts is a fee for leaking production material (recordings) that were made while with the production company. Burnett is the production company for The Apprentice.

It's depressing the shit out of me that even progressive folk are saying 'Wow, surprised this is the thing that broke him, it's just dirty words.'

People really don't get the sinister context of bragging about fame allowing you to get away with sexual assault? And don't connect it to the several times he's been accused of doing the very thing he's bragging about to women?

I think I saw... right before I went to sleep (finally) last night, someone say that Trump's pussy comment was referring to cats. I either fell asleep right after that, or blacked out from the impact of the stupid.

In all honesty Donald Trump simply running for presidency offends all sane people. I'm a white male, albeit it not American, and I'm offended such a fucking jack ass is running for the presidency of America.

I do think people on here are overstating how much this will erode his support. It puts an even harder cap on his peak, but the majority of core aren't going to budge because of this or literally anything else. In most 4 way polling he sits in the high 30s, I'd expect him to stay above 35% no. After what short of it being revealed that he killed or raped a child (yes, I think he could literally kill someone tomorrow and get about 35% of the vote, so long as that person was a minority and there was some probably cause defense that could even temporarily be fashioned).

It's absolutely eroding his support, we're seeing it all over the place. How much of a dent it's putting into the shebang is a bit trickier to pinpoint, but it is having an immediate effect. However, there's clearly a lot of people still trying to defend a defenseless thing and pulling the dumbest shit out of their asses in order to do so, so there's obviously still a lot of people that don't care about it.

The good news is that this not only puts a cap on him, but is destroying down ticket success as well.

He could call out police, show sympathy to immigrants, explain why manufacturing jobs aren't coming back and why you need a degree or trade skill of some sort. Plenty of things.

This is what happens you create a polarized bubble for people to live in. The left is not free from this either, how many Benghazi stories did Sanders supporters spread around and validate from right wing websites? What a sad state of affairs.

No one really cares about eroding his support there. He never had the support to win him a general election in the first place. It's all about like you said capping potential support from undecideds (particularly women) and independents. It also helps if it keep moderate Republicans from showing up to the polls period. This achieves that.

Jesus, the Trump base is pushing the Bill thing so hard that I think they forgot that it's actually Hillary running.

Yah but she enabled him and defended him and bullied women; I would really appreciate this to be sourced and show me the quotes etc. Cause I'm having a hard time find it and people just say it happened and it is in books/magazines.

Can someone please toss me some links to read.

Labeling most Mexicans as rapists....

Suggesting Muslims shouldn't be allowed in this country....

Asking we don't we nuke our enemies....

Mocking the Islamic family of a fallen soldier....

Saying the police/race issues simply needs more law and order....

Mocking a Latin woman's appearances....

Making lewd sexual/rape remarks of a white woman and other women like her.... OH HELL NO!!!!

This post basically summarizes my feelings this weekend. Its nice to know where they draw the line tho...

Probably a part of the contract associated with recording the show. You can't have people constantly blackmailing and smear-campaigning each other and still get anything done, so you make a reasonable promise not to disseminate anything not recorded for purposes of airing during the production.

It's probably not particularly ethical to release the tapes, sadly.

I preface this with not knowing context or in what way it was said. But the right keep bringing up that she called one woman a "failed cabaret dancer" and another "trailer trash." That's the only ones that have ever been brought up in any of the news or interviews I've seen, and they harp on it constantly.

But in the context of cheating, I'm surprised Hillary didn't say worse. I don't understand how they can call her an enabler.

You know, here's my problem. As I'm conversing with others about this, whether Trump supporters or neutral, they lash out with a stack of accusations. And I can't really defend any of them because I've never heard about it. Granted, I just got into the whole politics thing recently because of how much I'm against Trump running for office, so I'm more than fine with being admittedly uneducated when it comes to plenty of things.

I don't know about a lot of the shit Hillary has did. Or hasn't did. I can't say "no, she didn't do that" because... I don't know. And it's how I feel about the Benghazi situation, or the e-mails. We've read about things, heard about things, but what is the actual truth behind it all? I'm afraid we don't know the full story about everything. What we do know is that Trump is an asshole. If all of these things Hillary is consistently accused of were proven legit and I saw the facts as I've heard with my own ears things Trump has said, I mean I would still be against Trump but I would think lesser of Hillary.

And perhaps it's all true and I should think lesser of Hillary. I don't know. And yet, even if it were all mostly true, I still feel like she'd do a better job in office than Trump which is ultimately what matters the most to me. I'd love to be educated on the matter.

Gotta give credit where credit's due, the GOP etc did a bang up job on smearing Hillary.

Honestly I think this is common everywhere. Trump is unfortunate (fortunately), but if we started putting cameras all over we would see that this is the norm, sadly. Sexism is well and alive.

This kind of sexism, assault and proud of getting away with it, is not the norm.

If it would be normal, we would have to fight it regardless.

Wait what did I miss. What's the new Celebrity Apprentice rumor?

We talked about this earlier in the thread. The only other demographic bombshell I guess left is something like an anti-Church, anti-God rant. If there's a tape of him going on like an /r/atheism subscriber, that might dent him more. Not sure what else is really left.
