Still managed 100 + points in that round so it's not all bad.

So a higher ping is a bad thing?

Then why do I lag absorb weapons on low ping SCEE servers all the time?

ping is the time it takes your messages to go to the server(and back i think)

A ping of zero would be like playing a single player game.
<50 is good for extremely fast paced and at a super competitive level. Like CPMA and warsow colour 50 as yellow for not so hot but not bad.

Non uberly most games have good enough netcode that a 100 ping is fine.

some games are slow enough and have good enough netcode that 150+ or higher is ok.

depending on what the game does for anti lag you may have to lead your shots if you have a higher ping. in warhawk i don't think you have to, the spider rifle is the only gun where it would really matter and I don't use it much.

Speaking of pings... lol @ server < 100 ping that I found, it must have had team balance switched off kept switching between Red and Blue and the'd be 2 extra people in the other team.

I don't know about the weapon absorbtion glitch, are they vanishing out of nowhere? or are you flying with your finger on the trigger then swapping out, but losing the weapon sometimes?

I usually have around a 98 ping to all the SCEA servers. For SCEE there are probably more obstacles between them and some players though.


Unless Sea Manky just changed servers the clan browser still isn't working

Wow, I was just in a really intense zones match. Archipelago, Acropolis Assault. Started off aggressively by taking the base closest to theirs and held it for a while, but my team lagged in capturing the center base. After that, things stabilized with the bases on each end at 3 and the center base being contested. We had a lead of a couple hundred points, but the other team seemed to be a bit more clueful and aggressive, so they held the center most of the time and I had to put out fires when they snuck behind our lines.

Finally, the score is in the 2700's range, and we've got a lead of about 11 points, and my team still can't seem to hold the center base for more than a second. So I boost over to their base, grab the flamethrower, and reduce it to 1 so they can't get a link. I think I held off about ten people before the game finally ended with our victory. Way too close for comfort. :X

Oh, and speaking of bugs we shouldn't be seeing anymore, had a game where I got bandit badges again today. :/

From the looks of it though, these problems are now a lot rarer.

I joined a server with 250, i think it was euro, the little kids were talking about all the gay people in america being british or something. Turns out it is a japan server...

Anyways the game seemed fine. I was killing with pistols, shooting people in the face, capped a flag, had some warhawk victories.

I usually average about 200 on US servers and rarely run into problems, I don't think I've ever had a ping as high as those games earlier but IIRC 1.1 was supposed to fix the ping readout and get rid of the ????.

PS3 just locked up as i tried to hop into a warhawk at the same time as another guy. First crash. Do I just power down? the hd light was blinking a lot

yeah, unlike before, refresh actually works, so just refresh to get correct ping... works great.

Most memorable moment yesterday was nailing Sea_Mankey with a tank while he was flying in a Warhawk, that was an awesome shot.

Right up there with when I sniped someone while he was driving in a jeep.

ah yes, i did this once. it was so awsome. it was quite a ways away too. It was a CTF game, i was looking at the base and someone got the flag and jumped into a jeep. it was driving down the ramp. the game was tied, around a minute left and the flag cap would have won the game and i sniped the flag carrier dead. It was quite satisfying until i realized he was on my team and i just killed my teammate who was the flag carrier. it was still a totally awsome shot.

I finally got some sniper kills today, including one on a warhawk. It made me a happy pappy

Jumping on top of tanks and laughing at the driver when I run out of grenades.

Done, 22nd for me. Better we meet up in the finals I reckon/hope. Although after my abysmal performance in that DM yesterday I'm not too hopeful.

I hope the DM match is less like the one I played yesterday I seem to fair better when there were no ground vehicles at all.

A hint to help you out getting through your qualifiers... The Map we will be using for all the preliminary qualifiers is Eucadia [DeathMatch] - Urban Strike.

One crazy awesome shot I made recently was a match in Island Outpost, I had taken one bridge then I flew to the other bridge to take it. I noticed on the map that an enemy was going to the bridge I had just left. I had a rocket launcher, so I tried to line up on the other bridge's flag as best I could and fired off two rockets. Bam, Sea_Manky -- So-and-So. XD

As for Urban Strike, it's that map where we had that really itty-bitty CTF match in Eucadia. It has jeeps, but no tanks, your mines are down in the lower plaza. Most people keep respawning in the default northern spawn so that's where the chaos usually is. Flamethrower is nearby and always a good option. Keep an eye on the machine gun turret that faces the yard behind the big building, people like to use it so you can get an easy knife kill occasionally. It's a good DM map.

Man, I wish I could enter.

And I'm getting awesome practice for the tournament and gaining stats in the process 2.00 KDR bitches!!

Joined a 12 person server called "northmemphis" or something. CTF, Badlands Skirmish map. My team was fucking awful. I ran around the whole game killing flag carriers and returning the flag, and only managed to score once. They won 6-1. Next game, they ban me. I'm suspecting they were systematically banning everyone on the opposing team that showed any resistance, since our team was also shorthanded. :X

Edit: Bah, the game you guys are in is full. :/

I'm now a lean mean Warhawk combat machine, I was on the losing team to Castro but came first anyway.

I hate it when teams sit back and defend, all you have to do is jump in place mines and you get a load of kills easily.

I was robbed of a flag capture. I get escorted in a tank and decide to take a jeep because it's faster, someone put a damn landmine on our bridge... a landmine... on our bridge... the nerve of some people.

Short Shameful Confession: In Archipelago CTF, I'll often grab a flamethrower, drop into the enemy base and grab the flag with no intention of actually leaving, just as killing as many defenders as possible. :X

And yes, Kosma, you should totally play. Rank and stats are fixed, lots of players with mics. Lots of really good players in Europe for sure. Doesn't matter where they're from though, I'm daily playing people from Europe, USA, and Japan, and probably other places too. Warhawk rocks!

Yeah stat tracking has been fixed and stuff, Mics well...you hear the one or two people on mics in a team asking who got mics :lol, no connection problems when a servers full it's full.

After playing well this morning I was abysmal this evening. :/
