Warhawk - The Official Thread

So after I set it up in the audio settings, the PS3 will pick it up automatically when I turn it on in range?
 
Yeah, once you pair it, turning it on will automatically connect. You can be in the middle of a game, turn on your headset, and it will work.
 
What's going on with Warhawk?

I logged in and it says I'm a Recruit, then pops up saying I've increased in rank to my current rank, Wingman. Also it says everyone on my buddies list is not a player and stats are taking forever or failing to load. All my options even got reset. There still seem to be people playing though.

The servers were going up and down.
 
Anyone up for a quick 2-4 player match? I want to get those elusive trophies for first no deaths...
And if you are in a clan that isnt GAFT, we could even knock out Rivalry by setting up a clan match...

I'm the current leader of [GAFT], who's next to become the leader? I feel bad for neglecting Warhawk lately but there's just so many games to play!

If by some chance you guys are feeling belt tightening because of new members, then feel free to boot me from the clan.

I'm sticking with Warhawk Wednesdays, they're good peoples and fun games, and I rarely see any of you fucks there. So yeah, if you need room for whenever the hell you assclowns play together (I'll believe that shit when I see it) then boot me from the clan.

I don't know why it does that, but you don't have to go through each individual and unmute them. Either Square or Triangle is an "Unmute All" button.

Tanks lightening, burst or charge is fine. Cluster bomb is good too. And TOW is always TOWVERKILL! :D

Ground troops cluster bombs, tow, or if they're up against a wall or something a well placed swarm missile against the wall will splash damage their asses to death.
 
I won't fire the lightning arc if at least the center circle isn't red. It seems to have a pretty good distance, and is impossible to dodge if you're close enough to the enemy. Lightning bursts + Warhawk machine guns = win.

if you aim it right firing a homing missle and 1 second of machine gun fire will kill a tank, they hardly have any time to react :D 1 homing missle also takes out troops, cluster bombs work great as well as its one of those things they see falling and they're probably thinking "WTF ugh" before they die. If you dont have any of those just machine gun fire and swarms work really well, try to aim for the head of a ground troop to really take them out fast.

Stationary ground troops/vehicles: homing+machine guns, cluster bomb.
Moving ground troops: swarms+machine guns.
Moving tanks/jeeps.: lightning burst+machine guns.

Next week I am going to be with my ps3 again, I already have Warlord but I have a couple friends that need it. If GAFT is still 10 members strong by then could you pass leadership to me please? I won't be on for another week so incase someone else needs Warlord till then do not give it to me just yet :)

If I hold clan leadership, I will gladly pass it on to you. and it's perfect because my PS3 is being repaired atm. When I get it back it should be in time to pass it off to you.

i'd say CTF on the winning team and getting some caps is the best way to get points, you would normally average 70-200 points a game

There's only one Gaf clan, now (well, two if you count the temporary trophy clan). I think Sea Manky is the leader, so he's the one to ask for invites.
 
Random freezes continue. Not a major biggie but a little annoying.

I wonder if we'll ever see Warhawk take to the seas. Most (all?) the current levels would need major rework... but it'd be interesting in a new environment. Hmm.
 
Sometimes most of the people on servers I join are muted. I can simply unmute them but this is getting annoying, especially when the match is almost over and I finally realize this.
 
I've found that ever since graduating to the medium servers I've been playing more of an assist role during CTF matches. I used to alternate between defensive and offensive plays in matches, but now I predominately try to capture and hold intermediate bases.

On the medium servers, it seems a lot easier for one side to complete dominate another (Badlands large comes to mind here). It seems more important to try and keep as many bases as possible available so you don't get pushed back and dominated. Then other team members can use those bases to push forwards and keep the other side on the defensive.

That and the fact that I get slaughtered if I try to do anything else.

You mean expert? I have found the same. I am not good enough for offensive on my own, so I will hold a base near the front and only go forward if there is a large scale concerted effort.

Seems the skills are hit and miss when I play. I played a CTF round the other day and I was the only one on the blue side that attempted to get the flag. When I did get it, no Warhawks provided air support and no tanks helped me out. They just flew around on their own missions.

It also seems like one team is really good and the other one sucks. If I win, it's by several thousand. The matches are rarely close.

The blue servers, whatever they may be. I used to be on the green rookie servers until a couple weeks ago (only started playing recently)
