these are the online trophies for the game, right?
Which of these modes doesn't have any kind of matchmaking (i.e. do i need to invite someone specifically to do co-op missions, for example?)

MP is supposed to be seamless so there's no matchmaking iirc.

Just had an amazing moment. Stole a go kart and got chased by the police to the country side where I made cops crash into a crowd in front of a biker bar (so much death.) I then crashed the kart into a ditch and in an attempt to escape on foot, stumbled upon a gang hideout. I hid in a room and waited for the cops to show up with them eventually coming and engaging in combat with the gang, as it indicated so in the top right corner. Backup for both sides was called and an all out massacre ensued while I was able to escape unseen (had a few close calls.)

Lol that sounds really cool to draw "factions" into fighting each other like that. I would have hoped the cops lost so I could take out the rest of the gang myself to clean up

This fucking game you guys...

So I'm buying some clothes and here this commotion. I head out so see this dog running beside an ambulance and they get to a body that's been hit by a car (driver is dead).

The dog lies down beside the body, I assume it was it's owner that got hit. I wanted to take a pic to show this cool little feature and then out of nowhere this lady comes and well...

Hell yeah it was! And yeah, I should have mentioned that the cops won. There were 3 left with one SWAT dude in armor. I just wanted to get out of that hideout!

Played it for a couple minutes, looks like it's already patched for PS4 Pro support? IQ is pretty great. Can anybody confirm?

lol. That is an achievement or something, right? Someone mentioned that getting photobombed is a trophy/achievement.

Considering the cops were after you it was probably a good idea to just get out of there if there was SWAT in armor lol. These random interactions and events for the AI with itself seems like the most interesting part of the game right now.

How am I meant to lose the police? They spawn infinitely out of thin air and there's a helicopter. The car is demolished. This is fucking stupid. In GTA this would be near four-heat aggression. But in Watchdogs apparently cops are suicidal with two heat. This dumb chase is going on ten minutes. I paused it, to type this.

Just take out the helicopter, drive into an alley and use the hide in your car button when stationary.

I don't have any guns... or driving-related hacking. I also try not to kill people.

Idk this mission is stupid. Every time I get into caution phase it always spawns a cop in the worst (nonsensical) spot. lol soooo dumb.

Edit: Omg finally. So dumb.

I escaped a 5 alarm chase last night nearly wrecked the knight Rider car but just found a series of garages to hide in and did the hide in car thing actually worked out remarkably well even though the car was barely drivable by the time I completed the mission.

I'm about two or three hours in. Really liking it so far, but not quite loving it. I can't put my finger on what's holding it back for me right now, but there's just something there that's hurting my enjoyment right now.

not getting the game until the christmas holidays, so i can neither test it, nor does it matter that it's borked right now, but thanks :)

i thought "seamless" multiplayer was merely the "hacking" / invasion type multiplayer.
Anyone with the game able to tell me about how you'd be able to get a co-op mission going? Without the need to invite someone from your friends list? is that possible?

I'm enjoying this a lot more than the last one so far. That said, this game is fuck ugly. The lighting is worse than quite a few PS3/360 games with very little shadowing, if any, happening when out in the open world. It looks ok when inside, but damn if it isn't a bit rough on the eyes outside. Having just finished playing GTAV last night, this is a long way behind tech wise. The UI may be the worst I've ever used too.

The fact you cannot easily pause the game is annoying.

Having to bring up your phone and click through apps to reload a checkpoint... smh.

there is matchmaking in addition to the seamless multiplayer. you can do both when the MP goes live

A lot of people are saying Watch Dogs 2 looks brilliant on PS4 Pro. I think people are confusing high detail, excellent shadows and lighting etc with a super clean image, because from the screenshots I have seen, the graphical assets between the PS4 and PS4 Pro, including lighting is the same.

I hear the Pro does however make the image look crisp/sharp with very little jaggies. Still the incredibly bland shadows/lighting exist ?

Not sure if you are on PS4 or Pro?

The shadows look terrible still which seems to be a problem in general for a lot of consoles games.

So not stats screen huh? Also I had someone join my game seamlessly what's up with that ?
And trying to find caches.... Particularly the one for getting car boosts... I can't find it any help?

It has more detail naturally because of a higher resolution but it doesn't improve other things much other than being clean and that was the biggest problem with it. It looks very clean but not as clean as say Ratchet.

There's still jaggies although it's a very clean image overall.

Are most of them eliminated to the point where it's subtle and not noticed much at all?

On the OG PS4 they are distracting, especially during the day when the sun is shining on objects and trees.

thanks a bunch. :)

I dislike (mostly) singleplayer games that force you to do non-matchmaking online stuff for a SINGLE trophy. It's such a hassle to find someone random on psnprofiles or gaf for just completing that one mission.

Guys I found the
Aiden Peierce
Mission. Honestly everything about this game is so god damn fun. Seriously congratulations Ubi and I hope Watch Dogs 3 is more of this and that 2 does well because this game is stellar. So much love put into it.

Really enjoying the game as well.
Got some amazingly funny missions in it. Enjoying the Tom Cruise one at the moment haha :D

It's reminding me more of Saints Row rather than Watch dogs that's for sure. And that's a very good thing in my opinion.

Are the hacking puzzles from WD1 still in this game, as well as privacy intrusion?

Also it doesn't seem to have a "Progress tracker" like the first game, to see how many collectibles etc I have left.

the hacking puzzles are back...but in this one they are out in the environment instead of just being on one screen

NPC AI is fucking great, best I've seen since Saints Row 2. Its the main thing that keeps open world games from feeling alive or artificial to me.

Good point. I'm in that camp as well.

Just for grins and giggles I checked the first Watch Dogs OT and that thread posted 25 pages at this point on day of release.

That was mostly due to me and GAZ making fun of iamblanders, not to mention there was more interest since the game came out in a period where there wasn't much to play on PS4 in terms of AAA releases.
