Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

I like how the game gives you a ridiculous vacation style outfit to begin with and makes it your first open world mission to go and buy proper clothes. There is no suggestion that the character has a default set of clothes. Is this the first GTA clone to do this? Or some of the Saint's Row games did it I guess?

1.06 update is out

Today, we are pushing Title Update 1.06 to the live environment to fix top known issues that have been identified since launch. This Title Update will be available to PS4 players starting at 2:30PM EST today, and for Xbox One players as soon as it is approved by Microsoft, tonight or tomorrow. PC will get a patch later this week. We will provide more info on that soon.

The main objective of this title update is to improve the performance of online features and fix top issues that have been reported by our community.
Here is what is being fixed in Title Update 1.06:

Online Performance
• [XB1/PS4] [Performance] Game Crashing – This patch will have various crash fixes for a smoother gameplay experience.
• [XB1/PS4][Online & Multiplayer] Seamless Online – Players should now experience improved reliability of seamless online and matchmaking through the Multiplayer App.
• [Multiplayer] Activity Frequency – This patch fixes the issue of the cooldown resetting after a player dies while being the target of a hack during Online Invasions. Players should now experience regular cooldown times and a normal frequency of getting hacked during their gameplay.
• [XB1/PS4] [Online Invasions] Target Detecting Hackers through walls using NetHack – Some players reported being able to detect Hackers through walls using NetHack during Online Invasions. This bug is fixed in this patch.

Bug Fix:
• [XB1] [Performance] Graphics / Aspect Ratio – Players have reported HUD and Main Menu elements in game being cut off on various TVs and monitors on Xbox One. This Title Update fixes this issue by adding a new slider for players to control the safe frame size option for their screens.

Isn't his tutorial outfit his default? It's on the box cover.

Seems like its in your wardrobe if you ever wanna go back.

I still can't seem to find an outfit that I like, maybe i'm just not hip.

But the wardrobe is accessible later when you get to dedsec? Before you get that objective, you have to go to any of the clothing stores and pick an outfit. You are kind of encouraged to do so as well, because the vacation outfit is ridiculous. I guess it is possible to pick the tutorial outfit later, but the game forces you to be creative first. I am only pointing this out because I am usually a 100% default guy, but the setup here worked wonders to encourage me to get "my own outfit".

I mean, I feel like other open world games have required you to get new clothes at some point in their tutorial missions?

Platinum done. If you're on the fence picking this up and you're into open world games, you should give it a spin, especially with some of the black friday deals.

I think Saint's Row 2 gives you prison clothes to begin with, which you obviously want to change out of. Other than that, most GTA clones seem to clearly suggest default clothes imo.

Where there any? I did snag a nvidia code off ebay for $30 though. I don't think ive paid full price for a ubisoft game at launch ever lol.

hmmm well gta5 cast seem to have a few 'default outfits' which is pretty nice.

But yeah marcus is a bit better than Aiden at the very least lol. Wasn't all the outfits in wd1 just repaints?

The shit you can do with the AI is hiliarous. Climbing on the roofs of cars and the NPCs' reactions, framing random people and then calling gangbangers on the cops, starting gang wars AND involve the police while watching the whole show from the drone. It's amazing.

are calling the cops/gangs, is there any downside for that? I was watching some videos and it seems crazy overpowered for just about everything.

It might seem like that at the start and for small gangs/enemies but once you see more powerful people as a standard and a higher amount of enemies...it becomes pretty fair or sort of weak depending on your perspective.

...

I forgot to mention it earlier but I love the small talk you can do with teammates when you are in your base. Favorite conversation is about stuff Marcus has done in the past.

It uses a lot of your botnet power. That's the only downside to it as far as I can see. Also agree that's is kind of overpowered, but it somehow backs the whole "hack everything" theme. I love it, since the game allows me to have a lot of fun really quickly and that's why I play games in the end (sorry for the thought-terminating cliché).

wonder if there is licenses in the credit for disney stuff. Quite a few blatant discussions about star wars lol. I assume other real life properties too?

doesn't botnet recharge over time, or can you only get it back from hacking folks?

I aggroed an NPC into attacking me while the police were around and they got arrested. I was gonna get on top of the police car and start dancing but as soon as I clambered on top the police shot me to death :(

Man, thought I'd be able to play FFXV but this tooth extraction has me loopy as fuck.

Pretty much just running around getting all ScoutX pics. This game is so much fucking fun to just lay back and relax.

He's in his underwear. People will laugh and make fun of him if you go near them.

32/57 ScoutX done.

The Bush Man that scares people. Too funny.

I found most of them easy to get except for the following:

Nudle maps 360 guy
Wedding photos
Drag queen doorman

The first two eventually showed up at the spot. Just had to keep trying

The drag doorman would not appear no matter how many times I tried. I finally got it by:

Resting at HQ until 1130pm
Fast travelling to the nearest point to the location
Ran over to the doorman and finally got it

Just an FYI so no one else wastes a couple hours like I did

Thanks dude, I appreciate it.

The moment I got free reign I went to a clothes shop and bought Marcus a nice suit. I had so little money left afterwards I couldn't even buy the cars on demand / Driver SF apps. But I did look amazing.

Does anyone know what make of laptop has? If it was based on an actual brand, it looks compact and light, and I'm in the market for something like that. Obviously they don't use the actual brands, but in some cases its pretty obvious (Wrench uses a MacBook Pro, for example).

I don't think those were vacation clothes. I'm pretty sure he's just in his boxers and undershirt because he woke up in some strange woman's bed. Also the outfit Marcus wore in the tutorial (blue jacket) is still in his inventory, you don't actually have to buy anything.

As well as costing some battery, it also is a bit of a dice roll. Sometimes it's just a brief distraction that Peters out. But sometimes that's all you need.

Why does this auto update on PS4 even when I've got auto updates turned off?

I stopped and deleted it's progress once and then it just downloads it again while I'm playing.

Pretty shit.

Played for a few hours now. Honest impressions so far are that I'm not enjoying it as much as Watch Dogs 1. Not even close. They've changed and removed so many good things. With that said I've only played like 2 story missions. The story missions weren't exactly the highlight of Watch Dogs 1 and I'll be surprised if they're not a huge improvement at least.

I played the PS4 version a bit while visiting family for Thanksgiving and I'm having the opposite reaction.

Watch_Dogs was a repellant experience, one that I never wanted to revisit. Watch_Dogs 2 has me wanting to continue playing it even after the initial few missions.

At the start i was really forcing myself to continue playing as i found it boring and the yoyo melee weapon is shit compared to the retractable baton in the first

But once i did the smart car mission with duran duran playing i was hooked

The game really opens up once you get the dtone chopper and upgrade your stun gun

The game really improves when you unlock more of the skills and abilities.

It's a shame they are locked form the start, because I think the game suffers for it early on. You don't truly appreciate the amount of ways to tackle situations and the great level designs until you have everything at your disposal.

Watch Dogs 2 is the most disappointing game I've ever played.

It still easily makes my GOTY list but just about everything about it is a step backwards after Bad Blood. The exception being the open world itself, which is phenomenal.

Ubi servers down or is it just me? Trying to get online to try some MP and keep getting hit with errors. PC version. Was working fine earlier about an hour ago.

but how? unless you've just been extremely good about purchasing games in which case I applaud you

Giving away my Twitch Prime code (PC) for anybody who doesn't have one. "This bundle includes a Twitch Hoodie, an XP boost, and two customization packs with outfits and skins for vehicles, weapons, and drones."

Being disappointing and actually being bad can be very different things.

Ubisoft removed or changed most of the stuff I loved from WD1 (my favourite game this gen), but WD2 is still quite good.

What a fucking joke. Not to mention that the game comes with only shitty russian localization in RU / CIS region. FUCK YOU, UBISOFT!

Finally finished Rise of the Tomb Raider and so I installed this bad boy today. Ready to start it tonight (Taipei time).

How big was the initial update?

1.06 downloaded and installed for me in no time at all.
