Watch_Dogs 2 |OT| .HTML

I am really digging the game and played for a great deal yesterday. A few things I cant figure out....

1) So I can just go around and steal money from peoples accounts to add to my account? Why are people complaining about money?

2) When hacking lights or steam/ electrical boxes.. I see the proximity things... what is that? I don't think I am using my options correctly on those things. Occasionally I can lure people to them and fry them, but the other options confuse me.

I can't do stealth for shit in this game on most missions.

I can do stealth but is not satisfying at all, I think I played 15 hours so far and I'm having fun but the game is missing that something "SPECIAL" the first game had. Characters and story are pretty bad, people dislike Aiden, but Marcus is even worst for me, plain good/funny guy... Boring.

How do you call the police on people?

Get the skill in the social engineering tab.

1) Yeah I think so, didn't run into any problems yet after stealing a lot. Most people give only 40-80 dollars or so and cars f.e. are over 100k at the dealership.

2) That puts a 'proximity globe' around the object which will trigger when a security guard enters it.

new update about seamless multiplayer...

11/17 STATUS UPDATE

We have an update regarding the status of the seamless multiplayer.

As you know, we’ve been prioritizing finding a solution to the online connection frame rate issue, so we can activate the seamless multiplayer feature in the game. We’re currently conducting extensive internal testing of a solution to ensure it causes no regression to the core single player experience, as well as smoothly integrates into the seamless multiplayer.

If the solution works as intended, we would begin deploying the fix in a patch and turn on seamless multiplayer as soon as this weekend. This is the scenario that we are all hoping for. But if during these tests we see that the game's stability with seamless multiplayer still needs work, seamless online will remain deactivated and we will continue to investigate and test solutions.

We sincerely appreciate your support and patience during this process. Meanwhile, you still have full access to the open world, campaign, side activities and the opportunity to play Co-op missions or free roam with your friends.

To follow updates on Watch Dogs 2 and follow the status of the seamless multiplayer, please feel free to visit our Watch Dogs 2 site. If you experience any other issues, please report them in the bug report section of the forums.

We’ve been loving all of the videos and screenshots you’ve been sharing so far and are glad you’ve been having a good time with the game. Keep playing, keep sharing, have fun, and hack everything!

Clearing out a whole enemy strongholds by causing straight chaos with combined gang hits and and police calls will never not be satisfying.

Actual game feel while controlling marcus isn't that great feeling, and a definite step-back from WD1 (which actually felt great despite it's other issues) and driving is wonky, but everything else is great.

Loving the game

I m a bit disapointed by WD 2 :
- Driving : the cars/bikes/boats have no weight, WD 1 had way better driving mecanics to me
- Gunplay was better in WD 1 with focus and slowmo with actual weapons and not 3d printed toys
- Stealth : can't explain why but I can't play stealthy in this game while in WD1 I could complete most of the mission being stealthy
- I dont like the characters at all, they sound like a farce, a mascarade, very immature. I dont miss Aiden Pearce though.

On the bright side, I can apreciate SF better than Chicago and some of the side missions are really funny.

Anyone pre-order from Amazon? It seems like I never got my Zodiac code. I assumed it would come in an email but no dice. How'd you get yours?

Okay it seems you have to get the drone asap. Makes the stealth easier.

These hacking mini game is the worst. I'm totally stuck, no idea how to solve it. Wow.

edit: Oh damn, you can simply unlock those hacking points by clicking RB, lol.

OK. Just got the game still way early.

How do you get the two research points next to the Stanford tower? I already got the tower itself. That was easy. However, I feel like I am missing a mechanic with the closed circuit stuff. I found a vent in the roof to find my drone into, but once I get to the room it tells me to hack something that I can't. Using a forklift to get to the roof it looks locked like it's telling me to hack the other thing, What do?

Normally ferret this stuff out myself, but it feels like I'm missing something simple related to the mechanics of the system.

Not quite sure which one you mean, but the one in the strip mall looking building next to the main campus I think requires the forklift as well as the RC car with the extra high jump. At least, it did for me.

The main campus building with the research plan I needed the drone as well, I couldn't figure out how to
unlock the very top of the tower without the drone, none of the cameras I found could see it.

Controls did take a step back. How did this happen? Only a few missions in but doubt I'll like this better than the 1st.

Mine came in the actual box, not Amazon email.

Thanks, I didn't even consider that. Seems like a weird way to dole out a pre-order bonus. Either people who didn't pre-order are going to get codes in their boxes, or they get sent back to the manufacturer or something?

I've played about 6-8 hours. But the last thing I expected was to end up actually liking the characters and the dialogue. Especially after those try-hard trailers. What a nice surprise.

So far have been stealthing it, only shot the stun gun twice, the rest has been either environmental, or stealth melee takedowns.

Liking San Francisco a lot more than Chicago for sure.

On the whole this game's a pretty big upgrade from WD1. I like the characters, the music, the art direction, the tongue-in-cheek humor that's obvious but not beating you over the head the way that Saints Row or GTA do. The conflict between the fun loving nature of Dedsec vs. shooting up the streets with 3D printed guns is still kind of jolting but the humor kind of offsets it.

It feels like a 2016 version of the 1995 Hackers movie.

This is basically the game in a nutshell and why I love it so much.

Hackers knew it was stupid as all shit and ran with it, so does WD2.

I feel like the people saying this is another AC1 to AC2 leap are taking some crazy pills though. First of all Marcus, while being better than Aiden obviously, is no Ezio.

Then the game is worse in some areas compared to the first. Driving, shooting mechanics, lack of focus(like seriously why is this not in 2? I mean shit didn't make any sense in the first but still) just to name some key areas.

Like this comparison just doesn't work.

Someone else mentioned this but the cars also have a weird graphical glitch for me, like the seams between the polygons are aliased to hell and kind of shimmer weirdly like the car is bejeweled, especially noticable at night. Also have had sound bug out and sound mix just seems weird in general, have had car engines be super loud and soft (not electric cars). And I know the original had no jump but it seems more weird here, there are places it seems I could jump but even running and using the climb button does nothing and I just fall to the ground. Controls in general seem oddly unintuitive. I seem to remember the first game having a better overall gameplay "feel."

And this is kinda weird, I was going to upload a quick video showing the car graphical weirdness, but I previewed the video and it doesnt show up at all in the recorded video.

Dude it was me that mentioned this, thought I was going crazy. I also tried to take screenshot and video and it was magically smoothed over.

It's like every section of the car has an outline, it's bullshit.

Yesterday I completed the
hackathon and now we have a new boss
. I also like the paint job sidequest, but I may go on for a bit too long. I have to do 5 more locations now, bit too much.

What I didn't mention before but find very impressive, is the facial animations. Another aspect they really nailed, Sitara in particular.

I've just started playing, I don't suppose there's any way for me to develop an app that would let me adjust the music volume other than the default settings of 'on' or 'off'? Not having proper audio options in games is something that can really get in the way of game for me and the music is so loud in this that it drowns out everything else.

What's your display setup? I noted in another post that I'm on a regular PS4 on a 4K tv, wonder if you are as well - seems to be something that maybe the upscaling or tv settings might have something to do with - though it hasn't been an issue with any other game I've played on this same display.

Gang hideouts and convoys missing is pretty disappointing. Hideouts were a lot of fun systematically clearing.

I'm so close to getting this game but no gang hideouts is hard to hear. I'm one of those few who loved the first game (even went through those drinking games to get the platinum), but this makes me pause.

Is there different missions or anything that takes the places of hideouts/convoys that are similar?

Gang hideout is sort of there. They're usually hiding something like a money stash or research point.

I think I'm having more fun with Watch Dogs 2 than I did with GTA V!

The only downside of WD2 is the population density. I wish there are more people in the world. It feels empty sometimes.

Pretty much everything I liked about the first game has been removed.

Agreed, and I was afraid this would happen.

The first game had a unique identity but that's gone for a more generic GTA esque experience. As someone else mentioned, the original game was Splinter Cell: GTA Chicago edition. This is GTA-lite with hacking and worse stealth than WD1.

This game is immense!

One thing though Ubisoft

FIX THE FUCKING SOUND MIXING. Playing with headphones on every time someone speaks I lose a bit more of my eardrum.
