What albums do you consider "perfect"?

Maiden had an almost unbeatable run of albums in the 80s, with classic albums like 'The Number of the Beast', 'Piece of Mind' and 'Killers', but 'Somewhere in Time' is the one I always keep coming back to. It was the first of two albums where the band experimented with synth guitars, which added a slightly altered guitar sound to the tried and tested Maiden formula. Bruce Dickinson originally wanted to record the album as an acoustic Jethro Tull-like album, but Steve Harris (and presumably the other band members) refused, which is why Dickinson still dislikes the album. There are some killer tracks on the album, like fan favourite 'Wasted Years' and the criminally underrated and overlooked gem 'Deja Vu'.

Yes,yes, yes! Hats off to you sir. I came in for this. I adore Maiden, but very few of their albums I feel are considered perfect. NotB is very close, as is Powerslave. Most of them sadly have a one or two duds on them. SiT is probably the most consistent, which is why it would be my pick. Powerslave is real, real close though, and may be better, bcause of how it nails the feel so well but this is my preference. This album gets so little love, and it's a crime. Some really beautiful solos on this. Also my fav album art of all time.

I always want to say Thriller but I really hate the girl is mine. Michael Jackson has pretty much never made a bad song but that's as close as it gets. It's not necessarily Paul McCartney either because I like say say say. There's just something about it I always skip it.

Yeah he should've traded songs with Brandy & Monica.

Definitely my favourite as well, with Powerslave a close second.

I never skip tracks on albums I regularly listen to, but most of them have tracks that I kind of zone out on. The only album that comes to mind immediately where I love each and every track is:
