What could Microsoft show at E3 to finally get you to buy an Xbox One?

The only way I'm buying an XB1 is a 349 or lower price point. I'm not paying a premium for a gimped console hardware wise to only play a few exclusives.

I would love a new Conker game. I loved the SP for Live and Reloaded on the original Xbox, but didn't care for the MP as it was nothing like the N64 version (which I was addicted to). I loved it so much that I "bought" them demo off of Microsoft's website before the game came out.

If they make a new one, it has to stay true to the original and not end up like Perfect Dark Zero.

Gears 4 with Cliffy involved.
Halo 5 without all the shit in Halo4
MS sports games like NFL Fever
NBA Street resurrection
No Kinect bundle for $350
An all new OS that is closer to 360's

Basically, I'm not buying a xbone until its near $200 in a few years.

$399 price with no kinect
HD remake of halo trilogy
HD remake of Gears trilogy using UE4
1080p 60fps GTA V HD version (still haven't played it, waiting patiently for a PC version)
new forza horizon

It's just a wishlist but if microsoft could pull off most of that list, they would get my money.

I think $399 with Kinect or $299-350 without it would be better. At $399 without Kinect it's just a weaker PS4 for the same price.

I don't believe there is anything they can do. I have very few friends with one, most of my friends went ps4. I am far more likely to pick up a Wii U since the vast majority of games for the Xbone will be on my PS4, and very likely will be a better looking version. I loved Forza 3/4/Horizon, but I can't justify buying one for just that series.

I honestly have no idea. I've never owned an Xbox console so no first party titles appeal to me. The fiasco from last year put me off even more.

A lower price, the majority of my friends picking one up, and some appealing games that I can't get on PS4. Ryse piqued my interest because of its setting, but ultimately failed to deliver. Dead Rising 3 didn't interest me. Forza 5 turned me off because of the micro transactions although it did look incredible.

I already like Infamous. I already like Uncharted. So imo the only thing that would really shift me over is an exclusive that I could never turn down. If Demon's Souls 2/From's next Souls' title is exclusive to Sony, then there's absolutely no chance I will ever buy one. My wallet can't support two consoles.

As some of the others have mentioned, nothing. I'm feeling abrasive towards Microsoft in general, after with my horrible experiences with the Xbox 360 & their customer support. There aren't any exclusives for the Xbox One that interest me, I've lost interest with First-Person Shooters for a while, & never been to keen on sports games in the first place.

Unlikely to happen buit they'd have to get a bunch of exclusive JRPG's and keep it up for more then a year or two.

A new AAA Crimson Skies

More Xbox Live Arcade stuff:

Starlancer Online
multiplayer space sim combat

A new Links golf game

Yeah, Halo I can no longer consider it a killer app, and it hasn't been for so long.

These aren't the days of Halo 1 and /or Halo 2, where finding an awesome fps experience on a console was impossible.

Now we have shooters out the waazu.
We got Call of Dutys annually, developed by 3 separate studos for constantly new experiences.
We have Battlefields, Killzones, Wolfensteins, etc., etc.

Halo now will only excite the most dedicated fan. As a past casual Halo player myself, I just don't care. I'm sure it'll be an ok visit for 20$ several years from now, but it creates no sense of urgency with me right now. And why should it?
How many times have I been through the same tired fight with the Covenant trying to 'glass' our planet. And Cortana bores me.

Pfft.

Yeah, NEXT.

$399 with Kinect + remove paywall for apps and f2p (can keep it for regular MP) + enable third party usb input devices like steering wheels.

Kinectless Xbone for $399
Rare IP revivals
More exclusive first party content that's not Forza or Halo.

I'm all for buying one but right now that stuff has to happen for me to go over the fence.

If they want me to buy it now, they might have to drop the price to £50. But that says more about my financial situation!

I think I'd just like to see more new IP from them, they've got a larger chance of getting something that might interest me that way. Sunset Overdrive is starting to sound exciting to me though.

Hell, if they tied down exclusivity on Red Dead 3, I'd trade in my PS4 for an X1 I think.

price cut to 299.99
lost odyssey 2
having actual exclusives.

honestly with ps4 being cheaper, having more exclusives, PS+ and superior multiplats i see no reason to ever get an xbone.

I really don't want an Xbone at all, but if Forza Horizon 2 is great then I will get one just for it.

Buuuut, M$ are bound to fuck it up, so money stays in my pocket.

Rationally, I would say $349 without Kinect since it's weaker than PS4. I can only see myself giving in if Microsoft has exclusives I want to play. Not interested in what has been announced thus far so the rumored Kamiya project is a good start.

Nothing. Don't even play the consoles I have all that much. Hope they do something though otherwise the PS4 is gonna run away with it.

I'll tell you what. There IS one thing...

that would get me to bite.

I am still salivating for a 1080p/60 fps version of Skyrim closer to the PC version. With all the dlc and mods.

I'd buy the console for that, if they got that and it was exclusive.

Blue Dragon 2

Lost Odyssey 2

The Last Remnant 2

Yakuza 5 or the new Yakuza game announced to be releases on the Xbone with English localizations to soon follow

...or new IPs from Mistwalker, Platinum, or some other Japanese dev.

The problem with MS is that I'm not a fan of any of their first party stuff. They've essentially turned Rare into their Kinect game maker, every new Lionhead game is worse than the previous one, and I've never been a Halo fan.

I'm not saying Sony's first party stuff is perfect (where's Parappa and Lammy!? What happened to Wild Arms!? Why did they drop Legend of Dragoon!?) , but with Uncharted, Last of Us, Gran Turismo, Puppeteer, Tokyo Jungle, etc., they're still doing a heckuva lot better than MS IMO.

Nothing. A Playstation Plus like service would probably get me to pay for Xbox Live though (even though I have no Xbox). I don't trust Microsoft enough to buy their console because of announcements. How do I know they won't somehow screw it up before the announced games release? I would only buy an Xbox towards the end of the gen if they accumulated a large amount of first party titles (like Sony and Nintendo always does). Sunset Overdrive interests me but I'm not a fan of moneyhats. I would like to see Microsoft produce new IPs like they did with the first Xbox. I don't want a backlog full of multiplayer sequels (which I would just need to play the latest of). At this point, the Wii U looks more appealing to me.

I already have one but my answer would be to have better games than the competition. And more of them. Sony lost as far as games are concerned last year in my book. They're likely coming out swinging this year though, so MS better back up their "games, games, games" talk since they're not the only ones looking to make a splash.

A price drop to €1.

Seems about as reasonable as $299 seeing as neither are remotely realistic price cuts for $500 within a year of release.

A single player or co-op game, teen rating target, no tacked on multiplayer, AAA support. I don't get much from MS besides a lot of mature-rated shooters and action games. I want to see something that proves the Xbox one can have games of any type, much like PS3 did.

Honestly....nothing. Just not a big fan of their main franchises and their lack of PS+ like offering. Throw in the fact that it's a weaker console and all that. There isn't a single game or two that would make me make that investment. Having a wii u and ps4 and capable pc makes it easier.

Good question. I started last gen with a 360 only to get RR'd and make jump to PS3. I rebought 360 couple years later when Halo 4 came out and once I beat Halo, barely touched it again.

This gen I'll be getting ps4 first later this year, and no matter what Microsoft shows, likely wait at least 2 years to pick up an XBone for my Halo fix. I have a vita and am already too invested into the PSN ecosystem to think about getting a XBone over a ps4. Add in the fact that it's less powerful and I have no interest in kinect, it's just the exclusives that are left to give me any sway towards it.
