Mixed feelings about this car. It's comfortable to drive (I'm a somewhat taller than average) and it rides fast and smooth. However, that now that I'm past 30k miles that second-rate GM quality is starting to show through. I needed to get the brake pads replaced, the sun-roof motor needed to be replaced(bitched and got GM to pay for that), the rear windshield heater needs to be replaced, one of the plastic intereror panels fell off, and both power front windows only operated when they wanted to in the winter. Worst of all during this past winter I skidded off the road during a storm and into a snowbank. That cracked the front bumper which I'm told is another $1400 to replace and looks like shit right now.

Before next winter I'm commited to getting a new or slightly used car with AWD. The Subaru Legacy GT is my target car.

Can't get a better all-around coupe for the money. I defy anyone to find one.

Oh tell me about it. My brake pads are shit, interior panel came off, manual window control thing [whatever it's called, the crank thing] pops off whenever it wants to, something pops whenever I shift from reverse to forward, a/c has a leak [$1k to fix]...this was all broken before I even got it...

I still love it though.

Hoping to pick up a cheap (used) car soon though as my first car.

I wish I had as much money as some of you guys so I could get this car:

I take the bus. The sad thing is to own a decent car and not pay a hundred grand would require for me to move out of this country. We have the worlds highest car tax (we must have!?). It's insane. The cheapest Suzuki shit car costs 17.500 us dollars. Nice cars like the BMW 5 series will cost you 135.000+.

I'm dreaming of this:

I have a 1990 Volvo 740GL station wagon. It is heavy as hell and not too good on gas, but I like the safety and reliability.

Currently Drive a 1996 Toyota Landcrusier, and a Toyota van (TownAce), and a Rav4 depending on what day it is...

Going to get something to replace the Landcruiser soon. Parents seem to want another 4wd like a prado or maybe even a Lexus Rx330.

Only 180000km since 1986? Do you drive it often?

Every time you post about that car I remember the pictures and throw up a little in my mouth. Part of me died the day I saw those crime scene photos.

#5(2005): 2001 BMW 325iSE. Needed to save money. Nice drive again, although I've just spent £1500 on maintenance, with £750 still to come to replace the Cat.

After much internal struggle...

I purchased a Nissan 350Z Anniversary Edition last week. Up until that very moment, I was thinking Mustang, but for two reasons I changed my mind. 1 was the deal I wound up getting on the 350, the other is I've already had a Mustang and just wanted to change.

It's silverstone w/6 speed. I should probably take pictures one day.

None. WRX comes with 225 as standard in the UK. STi is 265. Subaru also do a Performance pack taking them up to 265/300HP respectively.

Lots of cosmetic mods though (current shape is OK but not great looking IMO) - STi rear spoiler, side skirts, front dam, fog light covers, Oz rims.

A skateboard, since I actually - y'know - CARE about the environment.

OK, you got me, I'm poor. But even if I wasn't, I wouldn't buy a car for a) the environment, b) I don't have a clue how to drive one, c) I just find walking and skating keeps me fit, and is convenient enough. If I need to go longer distances I bus.

Wow. Awesome.

I just got a car recently, a 91 Nissan Sentra...nothing too fancy besides the fact that it doesn't rattle as much as the 2001 Civic from which I moved my speakers from. So it sounds awesome, even with a less powerful amp.

Prior to that I had my company car...
