What's the meaning behind your avatar?

His name is not "Senpai", he doesn't have a name in the anime and is only credited as "Watashi" which means "I" or "me".

You sicken me.
And here we could have had such a nice time bonding over shared love for the thing~ guess I should change avatar now

I knew what you say, maybe I'm confused because my girlfriend calls him senpai..

The trilogy of LoK and SR were examples of when games are 20 years ahead of their time. Another example is Advent Rising

Fuck yeah.
Although I didn't pay all of the LoK games, Soul Reaver blew my mind back then with the shifting planes. I hadn't really been gaming for long at this point but it was way ahead of some of the other games I'd been playing up until this point.

I remember playing the first LoK. I rented it from my local shop. Initially it looked like a jaunty RPG...until 2 minutes in when your character is murdered, crucified and his heart ripped out. Then you go crazy and get revenge as a vampire. I was hooked from that point onwards.

Sorry for the thread derail

I like Buffy, I like the Packers. I've had this avatar sense the original IGN gaming board days, before GAF existed. The Giles picture itself was actually one of the built in IGN avatars you could choose. I've kept it and modified it over time. At Christmas I change the cheesehead to a santa hat.

I got a cat in the 7th grade and he was with me until I was a Junior in college. He had a horrible cat disease and the only option was a very invasive surgery that cost $4000 (which he may not have survived), or to put him to sleep. It was hard, but the second option was my only choice. He was an awesome friend who would spend hours on my lap as I played some of my favorite games. I typed in “gray video game cat” and this one popped out as my favorite.

It is Chang Wufei, my favorite pilot from Gundam Wing. He has a code of honor that he sticks with, even to his own detriment. I always admired that. He also pilots my favorite Gundam in the entire franchise: Altron Gundam. "I'll stay true to my own sense of integrity." was a line he spoke that always stuck with me. I decided to turn it into an Obamicon and originally used it as a signature for a particular site, then started using it as an avatar on various sites on the net. I also made one for two other Gundam Wing characters with words, starting with the letter "I", that I though represented them. Trowa Barton: Infallibility. Heero Yuy: Insanity.

Took my parents to Japan after my painful divorce - and wanted to do something nice for my parents for a change - as I never got around to it when I was married & ex was calling all the shots in terms of what to do with my own money. I think the picture is one of the wishing knots that someone else put up in one of the Buddhist temple in SW Japan. While there, I wished for good health for my parents, and wished for my daughter's and my own happiness, and the photo is a memento of that memory.

We all know if you had the money you'd have saved him. From a cat lover to anotther, you're amazing.

Computers don't make errors! What they do they do on purpose. By now your name and particulars have been fed into every laptop, desktop, mainframe and supermarket scanner that collectively makeup the global information conspirancy otherwise known as.. the beast.

Thank you for the kind words.

The kids keep saying they want a dog and we are looking for one, but I’m telling my wife that I don’t want to get close to an animal again...which means, that it will sit on the couch with me while I’m playing games, and will be my new friend.

Francis E. Dec, is that you?

I've been using Ed as an avatar in forums for more than 10 years now. I think he represents my sense of humor, which is very silly and stupid.

I drew this one to be used as an avatar, a slightly more matured version of Ed.
Why did you get rid of the "pork"?

So mine started as just Mad Professor Mariarti - a game I loved as a kid.

Then I added the city in the background and the cyberpunk logo to celebrate the coming awesomeness.

Then China fucked us all so I added xi the poo fucking the world. Then Scopa was a pussy so I added him. Oh, and I drew a mask for Covid.

Now I think about it, I drew too many dicks on it.

I've often wondered, but never asked, why do you, as members here, pick certain images for your avatar?

My avatar represents the size of my hands.
I like classic anime but I wanted a character for my avatar which is a complete juxtaposing of my real-life self. I cannot identify at all with the character. I feel it you took an actual Happosai personality and put that person on GAF...their antics would not be tolerated more-than -a-week.

This's an awkward post if I ever decide to change my avatar and look back on it haha.

Well I do change my avatar a lot I never really stick to just one but most of the time I want it to have tons of meaning and junk like you guys though it just winds up being whatever I'm interested in at that moment.

Video games is one of my two main hobbies I love playing RPGs and LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete has been one of my favorites since I was little. I picked Tempest because he was one of the only characters I ever relate to in RPGs because he's a non-blond unlike Cloud, Claude and Stahn, and he has brown hair I just think Alex is boring...
