When was the last time you made a completely blind game purchase and you liked it?

Ghostwire: Tokyo. I knew it was developed by
Tango Gameworks and I liked the Evil Within, so that was enough for me. Overall, I enjoyed it. The missions got repetitive, though no much worse than most open world games. But the neon laced visuals of an abandoned Tokyo were awesome and I got a nice primer on a lot of Japanese folklore.

Expedition 33.

Usually I instantly skip turn based games. Just not my thing. I was immediately hooked here, so it seems I can actually enjoy these type of games.
I'll tyr again with something else another time. Like Metaphor or something.

Cool topic idea.

I'd say the last time this has occurred for me was back on the PSP. I just remember buying cheap games at Kmart for it a lot lol.

After a short break from gaming I dove back in with TOTK and Spiderman 2 without knowing much about them. I was pleased and glad I avoided all the politicking background noise of Spidey 2 to enjoy it more.

Demons Souls on PS3. Went to gamestop to pick up Uncharted 2...employee there was all like "You ever heard of Demon Souls?" I hadn't. All he had to say is it was brutally difficult. Decided to give it a try. Never looked back. I did end up buying Uncharted 2 later on.

The games I just decided to try it out cause the front and back cover interests me and ones I had never seen beforehand were

Silent Hill 3
Run Like Hell
Star Ocean 3
Penny Racers
There's more that I forgot during the SNES, N64, and PS2 days.

Panzer Dragoon Zwei.

I was very young and there was no Internet yet. So I had not seen or heard of Panzer Dragoon before. I went into the store to get something else, they didn't have it so I used the money to buy Zwei.

It was one of the best decisions I made as a gamer. It totally blew me away. And it's still one of my favorite games.

Its virtually impossible to do it now as I consume to much gaming media but I would just walk into a shop when I was younger and just pointed to a game on the shelf when it was my birthday. Good times.

Persona 5. Really liked it and it got me into SMT which I ended liking even more so yeah, that was a nice purchase for sure.
