I found the filerush torrents to be a good place to grab all the DC files.
And speaking of DCF, wtf did they do to the helicopter/infantry balance? In DC .7, the helicopters were strong, but at least you could knock them out with a couple of stingers. This drastically reduced the number of rambo chopper pilots who would just fly around and wipe out bases single-handedly. If you wanted to keep your chopper alive in DC .7, you had to coordinate an attack with your teammates in order to reduce the amount of fire coming your way.
It really was a great solution, and kept the helicopters from being the all-powerful killing machines that they were in some of the previous versions of DC.
Now, DCF goes and makes it take THREE stingers to take down an Apache/Hind. And most of the time, that won't even blow the helicopter up, just disable it. So even after you blow your entire stinger loadout to take down a single helicopter, you've then most likely got to deal with the helicopter's crew who has bailed out and is descending on your position.
It wouldn't be nearly so bad if the choppers were toned down accordingly, but they're still way too strong. While the Hind is somewhat balanced by being big, bulky, and not having a whole lot of ammo, the Apache is a beast. The thing's way more manuverable than a Hind, is a smaller target, and has way more ammo. What makes matters worse is that the secondary rockets (the stronger ones), fly perfectly straight, meaning that the helicopters are deadly accurate, even at long distances.
