I'm with you. BotW just didn't click with me at allSeriously guys? No one is going to mention it?

>same map, but with better exploration
>verticality sucked, so we are giving you "Ascend"
>weapon durability sucked, so we are giving you "Fuse"
>dungeons sucked, so we are giving you actual dungeons now.
It's basically BOTW remade. So much better than the original in pretty much every way, making the original feel like a tech demo.
Going from TOTK to BOTW is rough.
Assasins Creed 1 after 2 is still great: different characters, story, map, gameplay. Same for so many other mentions here, like Uncharted. Sure 2 looks much better than the first, but 1 is still a lot different.
Expedition 60 was banned on SteamExpedition 33 is so good, I don't even remember playing the first 32 games.
Gonna have to disagree.Seriously guys? No one is going to mention it?

I thought BotW was better for the same reasons too, I hated how every little thing required gluing shit together. I almost gave up, but I did manage to finish it. The story was pretty good though.Hard disagree on this one. The original had, I thought, much better powers / abilities. The dungeons were fine, for me at least, and exploration felt a lot more natural. Tears of the Kingdom, and it's weird "let's glue a bunch of parts together and solve physics puzzles" got on my last fuckin nerve - in fact I think this is the only Zelda game I completely gave up on halfway through out of sheer frustration.
Unreal Tournament 2004
I played NieR Automata and then replicant back to back and I vehemently disagree. Yes Ending E is a masterpiece and no game comes close to that crescendo but NieR 1 was a more personal and emotionally wrecking story for me. I love and respect the ambition of Automata but it went towards the philosophical and existentialism route too heavily which I didn't care about; case in point my buddies and I still discuss and listen OSTs of replicant together till this day but besides Ending E no one talks about Automata.Mortal Kombat 2
Euro Truck Sim 2
Divinity Original Sin 2
Far Cry 2
Hitman
Just Cause 3
Nier Automata
Saints Row 2
Breath of Fire 3
Persona 3
No, it is even worse than the first one in some aspects and they barely fixed any problem that first one had.Isnt Dragon's Dogma 2 supposedly the version of the original game that the creator always wanted to make with a better budget?
Yep, tokt is just the superior game even if it doesn't fix a lot of problems from botw, but still the better game.Imo powers sucked so much in BOTW compared to TOTK. So boring. Having 2 slots for 2 types of the same bomb shows that they werent being very creative. TOTK powers were much more useful.
And exploration can still be "natural" if you want to. Just dont use the powers for traversal and you'll have the same BOTW experience.
I also thought shrines were much more fun than in BOTW.
People tend to say they love BOTW more due to the game's vibes. And thats fair. But in terms of mechanics the sequel blows it out of the water.
Having the same freaking map reforces my opinion of it becoming obsolete. Hardly we have sequels using the same map (Yakuza, I guess)
It doesnt help that BOTW's story is almost non existent. So you are mainly playing it for the gameplay/exploration, and you can have the same or better experience in TOTK.
Majora's mask on n64, superior story, worth playing over ocarina of time.

TotK added a lot of content, but the story was less interesting to me, I didn't enjoy the new abilities as much. Crafting was a pain in the butt. Sure it worked, but I was tired of building something that worked great, and then needed resources to do it again. Prevented just being able to fly everyone eventually. Maybe if the game unlocked an ability to not have things stop working later in the game, but you're always dealing with the same limitations.Seriously guys? No one is going to mention it?

Imagine reliving those days though, playing the greatest game ever made, having your mind blown. Then a year later getting an equal but arguably better sidequel... Majoras Mask lives in my head rent free, so much of that game is just perfection.Majora's mask on n64, superior story, worth playing over ocarina of time.
