I haven't seen The Tuxedo, although it looked absolutely horrible from the previews, but I did just catch The Medallion on HBO, and this has to be the worst fucking Jackie Chan movie I've ever seen.
The Tuxedo is worth it for JLH, she looks great, is having fun, and enjoys letting the camera emphasize her assets (a scene or two even relies on it). The rest of the movie isn't too bad when viewed using chapter skip or fast-forward...
The Tuxedo was absolutely horrendous. I saw it in theatres with a friend of mine who is also a fan of Jackie, and we both walked out wondering what the hell we just watched. What was up with the hive at the end? Retarded and forgettable movie...JLH or not.
I haven't seen the medallion, but the tuxedo isn't a horrible movie. It's nothing too special, but not horrible either. I'd give it 3 ninjas out of five.
I can't imagine a movie topping The Tuxedo in badness. I don't think I'll be going out of my way to watch The Medallion any time soon. Jackie needs to stick with his movies in Hong Kong.
Tuxedo. Medallion an average little title in vein of Big Trouble in Little China minus quality. It found it exceptabl. It didnt pretend to be anything other then what it was. Tuxedo I felt was more annoying.
When I saw it in the theater, that was something I picked up on from the first scene with them together. I don't know what it was but Forlani and Chan didn't have any chemistry. At least not enough to pull off the old/lost romance reunited angle they were shooting for.
The chemistry between Jackie Chan and Jenniffer Love Hewitt was pretty awkward too. Within the first few minutes of the movie, there is a scene of a deer pissing in a river. I think that is the very first scene actually.
