Who would you rather vote for President? Donald Trump, or a random US citizen?

Trump maybe? Go with the devil you (sort of) know? It's a tough call. Going totally random, you might get an earnest person who truly wants to make the world a better place. You might also get some raving derelict who shits in an empty Folger coffee can and thinks aliens are broadcasting declarations of war via the fillings in his teeth.

Like I said, it's a tough call.

Anyone.

Pee Wee Herman
Will Smith

I don't care, well, I do. But at this point as long as they aren't Republican and not divisive against everyone, I'm probably for them.

There's a good chance that some random guy would be as bad or worse than Trump, but we already know how awful Trump is; I'd take my chances with the rando.

Random.

At least the random person would listen to advice and chances are they wouldn't be a racist psychopath.

Rando, they would have both parties working against them instead of one so they'd be mostly prevented from doing anything for 4 years

Random number generator. Give it multiple choices for each decision, then randomly select one.

I'd still take it over Trump, as it wouldn't be intentionally malicious, and would get the answer right part of the time at least.

*votes for Random*->Hitler becomes president.
*votes for Trump* -> Trump becomes president.
Tough call.

Statistically I'd rather vote for a random person; but voting for a random person could mean we get someone worse.
But I'll take my chances with my random, that's gotta be like a 90% chance of someone who is at least somewhat better than Trump.

Random, there is a huge chance he or she is better with businesses.
But what if the random person turned out to be me? I don't know if I can handle the pressure. I'd probably spend most of my presidency sneaking off to play Magical Drop III and watch Mama's Family reruns.
Still a better presidency than Trump.

Ah, the George W approach to being a President.

I would set an unbeatable record for fastest impeachment as President if chosen at random. So I will go with Random in the hopes that I would be chosen.

Trump.

He's at least well educated, understands how companies operate, he's had some success in his life including winning the nom. w/ the party completely against him.

Plus Mexicans love him!

In an ideal world, a Japanese mascot or a dog wagging its tail would make more sensible decisions than Trump.

Average person from anywhere would beat Trump, if only because that shithead is so below average.

Essentially, isn't that what Trump is? A random citizen? He's certainly not a qualified and experienced public servant.

That being the case: I think I'd go for a rando. I mean if that was my first draw, odds are on my side the second might be better.

Trump

I'd be worried you'd get one of the 5-10% or so that can't function in society due to severe debilitating mental issues. Or one of the large percentage of individuals who never graduated high school or got a GED.

We can sit here and punch up at Trump's intelligence but there's a huge gulf of difference between a smart but morally bankrupt person like Trump and someone who is on the opposite end intellectually. Imagine a kind of person who might be way more susceptible to manipulation or is woefully ignorant and incapable of grasping the needed basics of governing a superpower.

Trump wouldn't be a whole lot better though. It's a shitty pick either way.

Random.

Odds are exceedingly high you'll land on someone so out of their depth that they'd be helming the executive branch in name only, a figurehead with no knowledge and more importantly, no perspective or leverage. Easiest sort of mark to lead around by the hand and push paper in front of for a signature.

Between a 100% certainty of something terrible and a chance of something good, I'd go with a random.

Trump has like 40% of the votes. Or there abouts.

So I assume whoever you pick there is like a 40% chance he will be a total fucking shithead like Trump.

Since the odds are in favor of finding someone better, I would roll the dice and pick a random.

well, only about half of the voting age population actually votes, so it's 40% of half of the vote. more like under 25% chance that it's a trump supporter

I'd go w the rando

Sarah Palin would have about a 150,000,000? to one chance of being that randomer -

Is it worth the risk?
I'll buy lottery tickets with higher odds of winning then. Should all balance out.

Random. Even someone supporting Trump may have been misguided or if not they probably aren't as capable of going to the same extremes anyway.

Trump isn't smart though. I've seen middle school students be more intellectually astute than Trump. Only reason he got through college was likely his father's money, and he's only a "successful" businessman because his dad made the fortune. All Don did was bankrupt a shit ton of buisnesses.

Seriously, the dude is a 5 year old in a grown mans body.

Trump. Odds of getting some illiterate, unwashed vagabond is way too high. At least Trump appears to be a functioning human being.

man I don't know

if we got a rando, it might end up one of Trump's supporters, which may be the only option worse than Trump himself

Random. It's like a coin flip. Either you get someone better or you get someone basically the same, but likely without Trump's bullying power.

You can't be sure of that. It is statistically likely to get the right answer part of the time but if it is random it could be wrong on every single decision.

Trump. He'd be hamstrung by his own legacy.

And let's remember, the reason Donald Trump is the nominee of a major political party is because there's a good number of regular US citizens who want him elected president.

I think I'd take my chances with President Rando. Then again, you know what to expect with Trump, President Rando would be a unknown element. Possibly a better element, but unknown nonetheless.

The average citizen would at least take hints from people who knew more than them.

I doubt this, the average person probably has no idea how complicated most simple actions can be. Also the average person doesn't have enough charisma to be president, whether you like them or not.
