Who would you rather vote for President? Donald Trump, or a random US citizen?

Definitely the random person - odds are very likely you'll get someone better than Trump.

Really? In my travels around the country, I've noticed that there are a lot of dumb people around. For all of Trump's flaws, he's at least somewhat of a known quantity. My gut feeling says that there's a higher chance that a random person would be incompetent.

I'd be fine taking this gamble with the House of Representatives, though. Given the large sample size, we'd get a fairly even distribution that would include an acceptable amount of people who turn out to be quite qualified. The upside to that would also be that such a random selection would make the House much more representative of the actual demographics of the American population (e.g. more even distribution of women, minorities, etc)

As much as I would like to believe Trump to be the pinnacle of perversity this country has to offer, I would take him over the chance of one of his crazed supporters getting elected, even he knows they are fucked in their head.

Random citizen (which by the way could be less worse then we might think)
A random citizen, if he's not a sociopath, will be surrounded by qualified advisers and counselors. It's still an huge amount of stress and responsabilities but it is way better than a crazy egomaniac running the show with other crazy advisers pushing Tea Party agenda.

Keep in mind that a random person will probably be ill prepared to face the challenges of presidency. On the flip side, Rando (that's his/her/its name) probably would just be a puppet, and someone else, probably a career politician, would be pulling the strings.

That doesn't sound like a necessarily positive "flip side" to me.

Trump without question. He's morally bankrupt, but he's not stupid. Saying stupid things and being stupid are very different things.

Random.

I'm Hispanic, and Donald Trump would deport more than several people in my family.

I'll take my chances with a complete stranger.

So you don't believe he means that things he says? Hasn't that already been proven not true by the fact that he has yet to pivot?

Random.

BUT...we vote in someone new, once every year and no one is allowed to be re-elected. Same with Congress. This way we have a greater chance of the country being run the way the people want it to be run.

Obviously Trump. There's too high a chance you'd get one of his supporters, which is far, FAR worse.

Still don't know who I'd pick, but this is what I was thinking when reading the topic title.

I find Trump's supporters far more annoying than the man himself.

Trump is definitely a sizable fraction of nuclear holocausts below replacement player.

This!

You guys have way too much faith in your fellow brethren.

I most certainly do not! But I understand the odds of the game :)

FWIW, Nearly every random would be in over their head but they would at least UNDERSTAND they'd be in over their head and, no matter how stupid they are, would be privy to leaning on those around them who are much smarter for advice.

Trump is a clown whose ego is all that matters. He listens to no one but himself.

You jest, but Camacho was pretty clever (given the setting). He received the data from an objective test, realized that he had found what amounted to a supergenius the likes of which humanity hadn't developed in decades, and put the guy in charge of solving the crisis that was threatening their very lives. And it worked, obv.

Was a pretty dang logical process.

What an absurd poll question. The average person isn't capable of being a leader, and would be a puppet. Trump won't.

Right now I fully intend to write in Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho on my Florida ballot, so take that as you will.

Worst fucking choices in modern history. Criminal or bigot. No thanks.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
I'd vote for W over Trump, no hesitation.

The only worse than a politician is their most rabid fanatic; a real possibility if you choose random. Even the most extreme politicians do have some degree of sense; more so than the worst of the public. We know what we're getting with Trump in comparison to the average citizen :p

Fucking lol

Love it when the diet Trump supporters come out

Love it that people think Donald Trump isn't controlled by money. He'll do whatever leads him to more money in the bank.

Trump isn't a politician though.
