It works fine, story isn't that important anyways for a zelda game. Not every game has to focus on story that much.
Because its a "legend" being retold over the ages
I like the stories in these games. They follow the same template but they do some very different things each time, whether its OOT's time traveling or Wind Waker basically wiping out Ganon, Hyrule, the Master Sword, and the Triforce. BOTW's story was cool for its focus on trying to uncover the lore, and TOTK's story is probably the second best in the series.
Thank fucking God.because $$$$$$$$$
nintendo isnt interested in blockbuster story telling.
And that is a good thing, if you want a good story go see a movie.because $$$$$$$$$
people lap that shit up just because its a new zelda game.
same goes for mario.
nintendo isnt interested in blockbuster story telling.
No, it's because nintendo makes video games, the stories in video games serve to hook a public that is not so interested in video games, and they need a story as an incentive to play.Because it’s always made for the current generation of 10 year olds.
If that story isn’t working for you anymore, it’s you who should be moving on other games. Instead of insisting that they change.
Because you know what that would mean? A generation of kids who never get to experience the Zelda story.
This is what happened to the comic industry, they kept chasing the maturing audience instead and now it’s a dead industry.
Same sword, new Link. Why does link have to master the master sword every game?
i would rather play a good story than watch one, this is why i havent had a nintendo machine since the gameboy advanceAnd that is a good thing, if you want a good story go see a movie.
Explaining in a quick manner: Not the same hero, plus it's one of the only weapons in the lore that can harm demons. Why does link have to master the master sword every game?
You don't play the story, you see it, you only play the playable part. Maybe your real hobby is cinema, not videogames.i would rather play a good story than watch one, this is why i havent had a nintendo machine since the gameboy advance
master sword*triforce/ganonWHAT STORY?
you mean the playable part thats most the game time? there is no playable part in cinema. You don't play the story, you see it, you only play the playable part. Maybe your real hobby is cinema, not videogames.
Because it is a GOAT with almost every single releaseCause people keep buying it and it gets called the GOAT every single release
And yet there are more children play Fortnite or COD and there are more adults play Zelda.Because these are games for children.
I mean, popular teen/YA media like that will always be appealing to some kids due to its content. Weapons, explosions? You name it.And yet there are more children play Fortnite or COD and there are more adults play Zelda.

There's certainly a blueprint, but while I do agree with you that it's more interesting when they ignore it, it's also not a bad blueprint to follow. At this point, it looks like a self-imposed limitation. How many variations of the hero, the Master Sword, Ganondorf, saving the princess, and all that jazz that we need?
Pikmin is worse. As is Mario and most Nintendo franchises. With Zelda at least they try a little. They are also bad about this with Pikmin. The same old shit over and over.
Ah yes, TOTK, the most minimal effort game in recent yearsBecause they know the fan base will buy whatever exclusive they put out with minimal effort.
Easy money for Nintendo
