Why WoW > DAoC (56k come in, watch your step)

I met three girls during beta that I'm sure of, and I'm pretty sure of a few more.

I play a female character though, so at least SOME are not girls IRL... :)

Rule of thumb - assume every female character in an MMO is being played by a guy.

P.S.
Why are you all Alliance?! Ewwww

Good rule of thumb.

^_~

It's also worth noting that almost all women play female characters. I find the disparity between guys playing female toons and women playing male toons fascinating.

Ps. I play male and female toons.

Well, WoW plays similar to Diablo 2 except you don't have to hold down the mouse button to attack.

It's too bad the print screen function wasn't working for me before. Tried to get some pictures of a big attack made by the Horde on Auberdine! Had a big posse of like 15 Horde members come to the town. I had just came back from a quest and fell right into the mayhem! There was a call to arms and we eventually crushed them all down! :lol After that I decided to track along with some high level characters who moved on (They were level 27-30 and I am still only 15), just so I could get some extra experience by exploring the map! Some of the inland scenery, wow! Looks better than what I already posted. I'll try to get some pics of the inland when I can. Amazing!

Ferrio's initial screens just sold me on this game. I've always wanted to try a MMORPG but they always looked so bland.

How will this run on my GeFore 5200? Do I need to upgrade?

What other pc components do you have? Process, ram, etc. You can most likely run it, but will have to have some of the graphical features turned down.

I've never played an MMORPG, and really never had the slightest desire, but I must admit, WoW looks damn tempting. The only reason I'm not going to buy it is 1). my videocard is asstastic, and 2). I know I will get my ass handed to me because I don't have the time to put into the game, or the expereince with MMORPG's in general. Oh well, looks like I'm missing out...

1 and 2 aren't a problem with this game.

1) I've only a shit Radeon 9200 (gig of RAM, Athlon 2200+) and it runs fine (anywhere from 17-60 fps, with it averaging at around in the middle) in 960x720 or whatever...everything maxed. If I take the settings down a little, it very, very rarely drops below 30 at that resolution.

2) I don't have oodles of time to play an MMO, but WoW is pretty nice about it where you can earn experience multiplier based on how much time rested at an inn or logged off. You tend to level quickly and really don't fall behind a lot if you only play 5-7 hours every few days or so. Picking a PvE/Normal server is good if you don't want to worry about getting beat down. I play on a PvP server and just stay out of the contested zones...that way, I can play PvE to build up and then later tackle raids and defenses, with a little straight-up dueling in there for good measure.

WoW feels more like Diablo II than it does most MMOs I've tried. I've never really gotten into any of them until now. Pretty, compelling, and fun.

Hey Ferrio is it too much to ask if you can post a few more pictures of your WoW adventures? Seeing that Giant was very cool, I'd love to see more high lvl areas if you can.
