Party Phil is there for you, and so is the Miiverse™The man with the mic is always ready to size you up and get your party rolling.
Just ask him he won’t bite (he has no teeth). Once he knows the number of people and the type of game you want to play, Party Phil will find the perfect fit.

If it's even a quarter as much fun as NintendoLand, I'll buy it day one.

Man, NintendoLand needs some new stage DLC like crazy

Getting this for $35, so I gave in despite being fully committed to Pokemon. This should be good with the family though!

Getting this, though I have no idea if I will like it. It was $39.99 on Newegg, and it came with a Wii remote with Motion Plus, which I don't have, so I figured I might as well finally get one and get the game "free".

Yes, probably midnight (for the time zone of your eshop), all the first party releases were available at midnight.

I microwave steaks.
This looks fun, didn't realize it's coming out this week too. Hopefully it will be fun enough by myself (party at my house).

Thinking about buying this. Didn't want to do so due to lacking Online mode. But being able to rate games maybe means Nintendo will offer more games as DLC and MAYBE offer an Online mode eventually. (Maybe... let me dream.)

And 50€ with a controller is a really nice price.

Sweet. That means I'll be downloading it around 9am Friday AU time, a good 16 hours plus a night of sleep before most people :p

Not sure if I'm buying this at launch but I'll definitely own it at some point. My wife and I will have a blast playing the gamepad tabletop games.

1 vs. 3? The hell? It's only 4-players? The video keeps showing 1 Gamepad user and 3 remote users. There's no 5-player modes? Even some of the House Party games they showed only had 3 remotes.

Interest fading quickly. Prove me wrong please.

I'mma gonna think for a good 30 minutes about this
It's like one of the Wii Party U developers was trying to come up with ideas for mini games while holding a Wiimote, then a commercial for Twister (the classic mat game) started showing on a nearby TV and he screamed "I GOT IT!!!"

I thought they're not offering a digital copy because they want a Wiimote to come with every game, so you can only buy physical?

Can't even remember where but I read the digital version of the game was like 5GB
Besides, every Nintendo game (at least so far) will have a retail and digital release.

Wildcard berths that can't beat teams without a winning record should have homefield advantage
Cannot wait.

I just found Mario Party 9 at Sam's Club for $14 and was stunned by how good it is. I'm hoping this is even better.

Gonna day one this as well, but sorta conflicted at the moment.

This would be one of those games where you want to get the eShop version; to have it around all the time.

But the goddamn eShop version in Australia is AUD $79.95, and the physical copy w/ Wii Remote+ and horizontal stand is AUD $79. I already got 4 Wii Remote+'s, but I really want the eShop version.

I don't even.

Funny fact: Nintendo had 1968 the distribution rights for Twister in Japan, but it was a commercial failure since Japanese people don't like to embarrass them self before others.

What about karaoke?

Wii Party U will be excellent. I'm definitely going to get it though I may just wait til closer to Christmas, since that's when we'll all be playing it anyway. I only have one Wii Remote Plus so it'll be nice to get another.

Wasn't sure before, but the 16 min video confinced me: I need this game! This and Nintendoland and sometime next year (?) Mario Party will be the perfect Party triple.

You should buy the game immediately. If I'm correct, the wiimote bundle is limited time only.

Party U was my game of the show at Gamescom this year. Pure fun and I honestly haven't laughed so hard with random people since I first played Luigis Ghost Mansion in Nintendo Land.

Can't wait to play this with my friends over the holidays.

For sure there is an eshop version. From the official site:

Depending on the Wii U hardware pack you own and your use of it, an additional storage device may be required to download this game from Nintendo eShop. Click here for more details about Wii U storage.
Please note: the Horizontal Stand for Wii U GamePad is only available with the retail version of Wii Party U.

I wonder how could they miss from the press release their most important game this week.

My son played the first one so much I can't imagine we won't get this.

If I have to play that stupid random game where you try to match colors of people's shirts I'm going to lose my wig

Wish there was a version with the Wii remote, the stand and a download code for the game.

Can't be bothered to swap disks any more.

First game since Wind Waker GC i got pre-ordered. and that was my first pre-orderd game ever because of the Ocarina of Time disc. One of my favorite party games on wii + a needed wii remote because mine is dying for €35 euro was a no brainer.

Maybe they didn't want to confuse customers and people that have the 8gb version will not be able to dl it. I can see a lot of calls from parents.
