Hey Captain Smoker... if you ever get bored, you could make your game badges in the first post animated gifs :)

Leave top and bottom bars static (as part of the animated gif), but instead of the static game picture in the middle, it would be awsome if that part was animated. I think... or it least it looks awesome in my imagination :=)
haha, I'll try it. ^^

looks like I'm heading to Target to get a basic model today or tomorrow.

Hope the white doesn't get too dirty over time. I can't pass up $239 even If I would have preferred black.

I think I am going to pick up Nintendoland with a wiimote on my way home so my wife and I can play together. Do I need a nunchuck too for Nintendoland?

at least this confirms the WiiU version will have the coop mode. it seems like this is no standard for WiiU versions

This seems to be slowly changing, really hoping for a very good Nintendo second half so that the userbase grows and ports are not second thoughts.

Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins now comes with Deathstroke DLC

But yes, here comes the second half of games. I have yet to finish AC3, ZombiU, 100% Lego City, Trine 2, Little Inferno, Sonic All Star Racing.

Want Batman AC, RE R, Pikmin 3, W101, 3D Mario, WW HD, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex HR, Lego Marvel, Game & Wario, Rayman Legends, Watch Dogs. So looks like I will have to chose or work extra.

I'll be getting mine whenever the first of Smash Bros., SMT vs. FE, Bayonetta 2, or X comes out, but I'm actually fairly pleased by what is set to release this year.

Yeah ! Welcome aboard ^^
ZombiU is the one and only "real" next gen "experience" available right now!
Have fun!

I'm almost done with Mario and I'm getting amped for e3. And off TV play is the shit

Is Mass Effect or Arkham City the better game on Wii U? Port wise and performance?

I need off TV play more in my life and haven't beaten either one.

I got ZombiU and Nintendoland. Is Lego City really worth looking into? Any other games than Lego and MonHun that I should take a look at? I have all consoles, so I dont NEED to buy any games for WiiU now. Just asking whether something is really worth it as a owner of every other console as well.

Any good eshop exclusives?

Toki Tori 2!
Seriously, it will easily be the best version even with the PC version on the horizon. Miiverse does SO much for that game, it's perfect for it. Cannot recommend it enough. Plus it's on sale.

And yes, Lego City Undercover is definitely worth looking into. It's hilarious and filled with stuff to do. Be aware of the insane loading times every time you start an in-door mission or are done with one and go back into the city. The game has so much charm.

And take advantage of the 30 cent Super Metroid deal while you still can! (that's over next week!)

Why is Toki 2 better than a hypothetical PC version? And thanks for the LCU recommendation :)

I suppose that because of two things:
1. Off-TV play that allows you to play every time you want unless someone else is using the WiiU.
2. Miiverse. Although I never went there to ask how to beat a certain puzzle, there are a lot of people that use it in that way. Since in miiverse you can post an image of what you are seeing at the TV or Gamepad, it's pretty useful if you get stuck and can't imagine how to advance.

Dont care about either of that, but thanks. I can wait for a cheap sale on Steam then ;)

You don't care because you haven't experienced it. It's already on sale on the eShop right now.

Wii U is the PERFECT platform for this game. Can't wait for the level editor. If I sound like a zealot, that's because I kinda am. That game totally surprised me with its genius design and how incredibly perfect the Miiverse is for that game. You get answers soo quickly if you're stuck (which you will be, a lot). And its slow pace is perfect for casual Off-TV Play.

I can see that for others, but I have my PC open all the time anyway. If I am stuck, I'll just just a guide for the levels. I havent experienced Miiverse yet because my console arrives in the next few days, but I dont think it will have that much impact on me because I am not a fan of "community" features to begin with. But I am open to be convinced, so of course I'll closely inspect the features of the console.

The big difference between using a guide and using miiverse is that you can ask for hints to help you instead of being told exactly what to do.

Miiverse is kind of interesting for me; I don't really use it as a forum or anything like that, but whenever I'm playing a game on Wii U, I feel compelled to check out its Miiverse community. It's just fun seeing what other people are doing in a game while you're playing it. It suddenly makes any old game (often literally) a social experience. Sometimes you can learn a thing or two, or alternatively give someone else advice. It can be satisfying in a way.

Also, it's just a great way to complain about stuff and seemingly get listened to!

You're better off googling. The average Miiverse post seems much dumber than the average GameFAQS post. I haven't found a use for it yet besides telling Nintendo they suck balls at Virtual Console (and getting a bunch of yeahs)

Funny, that is literally everyone of the games I am interested in. Sadly, the only game I actually own is NSMBU.....kind of regret not getting Lego City as my first game. Its the game I wanted to play most , but I felt obligated to get NSMBU; when you buy a Nintendo console, you have to pick up a Mario title with it, right? Anyway, hoping to make a few additions to my Wii U library soon.

its far far better than googling if you just want a specific answer to a specific question without accidentally seeing bits you don't want spoiled

I feel Mass Effect 3 should still be added to the recommendations. It was one of the better ports (much better than the PS3 version), with decent gamepad integration, it's just missing DLC. If that is enough to keep it off the list, might as well take off Need For Speed, that except for the pre-installed DLC, isn't getting DLC either as far as i know (on top of not even offering manual gears, RAAGHH!!!).

I'd definitely pick it up once it dips to/below €25 like i just did with Batman.
