don't be fooled by this:
it will net let you do what you want it to. that might be a future thing, once they introduce NNID to 3DS and have it all under one roof.
as for now, your account is stuck on the system it was created on.
If you don't have the kids' games digital you could still move the current wii u in the attic and buy a new one for the kids.

They started working on it after Kid Icarus Uprising shipped last February. I hope you don't believe they started work on it the day after Brawl shipped in 2008.

Also, the answer is probably this: You will not find it "for cheap" as it's a) a Nintendo game and b) a Mario game. You don't get those "for cheap."

And yeah, can't even find it for cheap used here in Scandinavia heh.
At least I got Assassin's Creed 3 for like $17 last week and I'm looking into buying Zombi U from Amazon UK for $18.

It would be nice if they managed to release Scribblenauts Unlimited in Europe before Unmasked lol ... or do a double pack. At this point, charging full price for it would be a joke (it was below 5 bucks during amazon or steam sales already multiple times, for example).
I really still want that game.

Asda in the UK had it in store for £18, which is pretty damn good for a Nintendo Published game. Same price for CoD, ZombiU and Nintendoland. £20 for a Pro Controller too.
I tried to buy a copy of Mario from my local store and it was sold out though, last week.
Was somebody hit with a tire iron when they came up with the pricing?

Problem is I have some digital games on WiiU that my kids wanna play :/
I'm still on the fence though...got a huge backlog with Wii games that I still want to play ( my original Wii broke down some time ago ).

Went to my local gameshop today and spoke to the guy who runs the gamesdepartment. He told me that he can't order the 8GB White WiiU anymore. Will this mean it's gonna be out of production anytime soon?
It was rumored just before E3 when the memos had leaked from GameStop where they were ordered to send back all unsold inventory of 8GB Wii Us. Nintendo has steadily denied it, but most stores seem to only have the 32GB model in stock nowadays. Other rumors suggested that it would be phased out and replaced with a white 32GB model.

Mmmm....I wonder if Nintendo is gonna announce a new SKU/ 32 GB White on Gamescom then. Anyway...8 GB will do for now. I already own a ZombiU premium pack, but want another one for myself ( attic ). I can't move the 32GB upstairs because there are some digital games on it, that my kids play.
Nintendo doesn't really do announcements at Gamescom. That's more Sony's style. There'll be a Nintendo Direct around that time, though
Yeah unless you really need another one asap, I'd wait until at least the end of September just to see if they announce any new skus or price drops.

Jesus. I plan on picking this up, but that pricing is just absurd. Of course, the Wii U version is gonna bomb when you set it up for complete and utter failure like that. Shoulda launched this in May when the only other competition was Resident Evil Revelations.

I've decided to wait for Gamescom and see if Nintendo comes up with anything new.
You're waiting for the August ND, not Gamescom. Nintendo doesn't do Gamescom announcements.
Should we expect a ND with new info aboout future games (DK, Mario, Kart, Smash) or it will be the ND focused on TW101? if the latter, it sucks.

I picked it up last February for $30 during a weekend sale at Best Buy. Best Buy has some great sales, got Wii U versions of Arkham City and Darksiders II for $20. Black Ops 2 is a quality port. I got it for the local multiplayer as it support for the classic controller, 4-player splitscreen and zombies.
They have already said it's a TW101 focused ND. The only glimmer of hope for other tiny bits is Bill Trinen saying "mostly focus on TW101" during last week's surprise ND. If there's other stuff it's nothing significant. Maybe they'll update us in eShop games or third party titles like Rayman or Splinter Cell.

Sure they would, they're announcing anything in NDs. Hell, that's where they revealed the 3DS XL two weeks after E3 last year.

It's cool for co-op in which each player gets their own screen.
If you play by yourself, you can use it for off-TV play, or it'll show a full map (not minimap) which can be quite helpful actually when you have a UAV/VSAT/etc up. There are also quick touch controls to change loadouts or call in scorestreaks.
It's pretty solid.

Slipped my mind. Still don't know what to do. The amazon price in tempting, but if the price drops further or they announce a 32GB white, I'll regret buying it now.

Nope. Sold my first PS3 last year and my second this year. Sold my first 360 in 2010 or 2011 and sold my second either early this year or late last year.
I buy things and sell them at a random, rapid rate because I'm very indecisive.
I bought Blops 2 on PC and while it performed fine I prefer playing on console because everyone has auto-aim.
There will not be a price drop. (officially) That you can be sure of. They're making the thing more valuable by having the games (finally). That's their strategy. They can't make a profit on the hardware if they drop the price so soon. And even if that were to happen, it wouldn't be more than 50.
The only thing that might happen this year is a Deluxe White model and/or a bunch of bundles (Mario 3D World/Zelda) for the Holidays.
Eh, buy a Wii U. Why not? Sounds like you'll end up selling it in a year or so anyway
I'm buying a PS4 this year but I don't really know why. Having expendable income feels weird.

Think you're right...if they gain some momentum by releasing great games, the price may not drop. In fact....the amazon price might go up again...might jump on the amazon deal after all then.
