Which Wii U games requires nunchuck? The only game I know of is Pikmin 3 when playing 2-player.
Nothing "requires" a nunchuk. Unless it's for multiplayer.

It's a board game where you play various mini-games.
Hmm cool, some of the mini games look fun, will pre-order.
BS, don't need the lame Jazzersize that Nunchucks put you through. That gimmick is dead and gone.
Looks like Headstrong Games has another Wii U game in the works. They are currently working on the full version of Art Academy for Wii U

I hope it's Battalion Wars 3.

It's crazy I'm not even playing it for a while. Haven't touched it this year. And I have a lot of untouched and almost not played games like Mario Kart 8, Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, NSMBU, Super Mario 3D World, Monster Hunter etc.

WTF are you doing!
What????? Those games are all incredible!! (Well except MH... that one's not my cup of tea personally.) Sure, people often say "you have to own it then you'll understand" but that may not work if you let all the games just sit there! Never been a more appropriate use for this gif, haha:

So practically you ignored the best 4 games (maybe 4 out of top 5 if you include Lego City Undecover) of the console.
And Pikmin 3 is godly with the wiimote, exactly what you ask for.
Even after having the Wii U for a long time, I'm still no fan of it.

Ah, that makes more sense. I like the gamepad, but can understand why some people don't.Yeah I know. I'm not complaining about anything.

I see I had written:

Because I love the Wii U and its library.

what.
the nunchuk stuff was fucking comfortable. i really liked having my hands wherever i damn well pleased instead of forced together. we have noticeably regressed
Need gaf advice: My platformer itch has surfaced this past week or so, and as I have already played DK:TF, 3D World, Rayman Legends, and Captain Toad (well, it's kind of a platformer), I was thinking about grabbing New Super Mario Bros U.
I remember playing New Super Mario Bros. 2 3DS last year and really not enjoying it, mainly to it having no new interesting ideas, no inventive level design, etc. I know that these games are supposed to be throwbacks, but I was expecting a bit more.
I'm obviously not expecting it to be revolutionary, but is the level design at least a little inventive/original in New Super Mario Bros U?

New Super Mario Bros U, and especially New Super Luigi U, are way better than the lackluster NSMB2.
Okay, thanks. I think I will pick it up tomorrow for the weekend!Yep, I find it the best in the new mario bros series + Tanooki suit goodness.
Go for it
So I just got done interviewing the head of Straight Right and Tantalus Games and he has confirmed they are working on AAA WII U Game port, biggest project yet in his words. Also, they are apparently porting a WIi U game to the PS4, Xbox One and PC which is also notable. More information is coming later on in the year.

Maybe Lego City and the new Batman game?

Brand new Wii owner here. Primarily a PS4 user.
Haven't owned a Nintendo console nor have I played one since the Nintendo 64 when I was about 7-9 (it was so long ago).
Being 23 years old and having the sudden urge to reminisce about Zelda hit me super hard over the past weekend, so I impulse bought one at Best Buy an hour before they closed.
I'm fucking love it. I feel I should be ashamed for being old and enjoying Super Mario 3D, but right now I'm at a point in my life where I just don't care lol. I'm stomping the shit out of these goombas.
Wind Waker is awesome (again, I never played it because I only played OoT and MM on 64) and God it feels good to play a SSB game again.
And a good friend of mine is surprisingly good at Mario Kart. I usually hold my own in video games, but she is just a monster with Peach. It's kinda hot losing to a chick who's actually better than you at a game...lol. I'm loving my Nintendo. No regrets picking this up.
Pikmin is next.

As much as me and a good chunk of Gaf loves ZombiU, the Ps4 crowd still think the game as a joke (and that happened because of the rushed reviews)
Ah, it is known that this port is for the new generation of consoles.
for someone who has missed as much as you, here's what i would consider the essentials of what's available on the wii u (in no particular order):
xenoblade chronicles: a lengthy rpg for the wii (not wii u) that will last anywhere between 60 to 100 hours and longer. the wonderful thing about it is that those many hours are filled with new places to go and explore, with very little backtracking and even then it's extremely easy to do so (the game has a warp function). it's a real slick piece of work, from its music to its game systems, and all the things it does to try and let the player just have a good time powering up and being rad.
super mario galaxy 2: as good as super mario 3d world is, and it's quite excellent, there's nothing quite like the level design in super mario galaxy 2. i think it's 3d mario at its finest.
new super luigi u: if you aren't mariod out by this point, i highly recommend new super luigi u. a pack-on to new super mario bros u, new super luigi u was made available to purchase at retail separately. unlike other mario games, there are no checkpoints, and each level lasts 100 seconds. this means it's a mad dash to the end of each level, and an even madder one if you try getting every star coin (to unlock even more secret levels).
sin & punishment: star successor: this acted as this generation's star fox 64 (if the ps2 era's was rez or panzer dragoon orta). a marvelous on-rails shooter with an amazing soundtrack and surprising and cool changeups to the formula with each successive level.
the legend of zelda: twilight princess: the definitive version of the game is the wii version. with pointer controls and a much faster inventory selection, the pacing of the wii game is far superior to the gamecube version, with more satisfaction to boot. twilight princess lacks some of the charm of other zelda games, but makes up for it in its level design.
maybe gamecube games will make it someday. skies of arcadia, paper mario: the thousand-year door, and star wars rogue squadron ii are all stuck on the gamecube, unfortunately.
you need to get Bayonetta 2, Monster Hunter and ZombiU
and Donkey Kong TF is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> any Mario game you can play on Wii U. Or any 2D Mario game ever for that matter :x
I've only heard good things about axe oblate. I'm gonna YouTube some gameplay right now. And I am still relatively new to the Wii U interface but I'm guessing all of these are available on the Nintendo store for digital download? If so I'd love to play the Zelda games I've missed out since MM, so I can prepare for the new one coming out. I'm sure I'll be in a platformer mood for some time now. And speaking of Sin & Punishment, isn't there supposed to be a new Star Fox game coming this year? Can't wait to see what that's about.

what have I missed about the "ports"?
a U exclusive going to PS4/One and viceversa?

what kind of fanboy shit is this? 'the Ps4 crowd' ROFL
Maybe, that is what everybody is trying to figure out.
paywall twins get zombi u, and wii u gets minecraft.

Now now, DK TF is good, but it's certainly not the best platformer ever made, unlike Super Mario 3D World.
