Not sure this is the right thread for this piece of advice but anyway:
In case you find the volume levels coming out of the gamepad's audio jack too low on your headphones, pick a pair of high-sensitivity, high-efficiency phones (normally the higher the impedance - the better the efficiency).
I just fixed my previously-broken koss porta pros - my all-time favorite portable heaphones which I normally use with my handhelds, and the difference in volume output from the gamepad is tremendous. This is the first time I'm listening to it with the volume slider not set at max. Not to mention the sensitivity and bandwidth of the porta pros are excellent, so I'm currently re-discovering NintendoLand's jukebox ; )
