Wait, didn't Silicon Knights do a good job with ED1 though? Perhaps they just need some well-guided supervision yet again.Nintendo, hand over Eternal Darkness to Retro Stuidos instead but please make it happen.

The rocket-kicking was all Ryuhei Kitamura's idea (under the encouragement of Kojima to go "all out"), not SK's. When will you guys learn?Twin Snakes was also a rocket-kicking good time
Maybe Other M 2.

A French-Canadian article claimed Epic had produced/would show a UE4 demo for the Wii U.
I don't agree.
Retro is talented enough to create an own Horror IP, I'm pretty sure of that.
Wait, didn't Silicon Knights do a good job with ED1 though? Perhaps they just need some well-guided supervision yet again.
So they're kinda similar to Rare in that when they're guided, they have potential?
Nintendo, hand over Eternal Darkness to Retro Stuidos instead but please make it happen.
But it's funny. As soon as these 2nd party devs left Nintendo's guidance, it seemed like suddenly the quality of their output just started to drop like a brick.Back then, Rare seemed like to be from another galaxy. SK did great jobs with Twin Snakes and Eternal Darkness, but I don't know if they can access this special potential all the time like Rare did.
But under Nintendo's guidance everything is possible. From turd to masterpiece.

Silicon Knights, RARE, and maybe even Factor5 with the whole LAIR debacle.
I don't understand French, but this is the article in question:Did the claim when it would be shown?

The Nintendo Curse™ strikes again!
It would be fascinating to see if SK's output increases in quality if they go back to Nintendo.

I was just trying to compile a list of all companies that had expressed an interest in the Wii U, but had no active projects announced. Here's what I came up with. Any additions/revisions will be appreciated:
Activision
EA
DICE
Crytek
Bioware
Bethesda
Epic
Irrational
Any more?
I don't understand French, but this is the article in question:

Yup! It seems like they loose their soul or something once they leave Nintendo. I can't explain it :lol
Valve
id Software
Thanks
Isn't Capcom interested too?
as resident evil 6 chroniclesYes!
I bet my ass that the love relationship between Nintendo and Capcom which started with the 3DS will transfer to the Wii U. I'm sure that we could see Resident Evil 6 on Wii U later this year.
Super Resident Evil Aracde Gold Edition 2013 v2, now with even more on disc DLCas resident evil 6 chronicles
Hey now, watch it! Darkside Chronicles was good. (The Code:V part anyhoo), Alexia's voice acting was definitely a bump, and I liked the altered story.
Yeah, but I want a big RE4-like Resident Evil for my Nintendo home console!
"Nintendo did already unveil Wii U's details (I assume details means here "specs") but it is a handful developers that will show more of it in the upcoming days as Epic Games plans on showing off a demo of its next-gen piece of tech: the Unreal Engine 4, which is planned for this newcomer."Nintendo a déjà dévoilé les détails de la Wii U, mais ce sont certains développeurs qui devraient en montrer un peu plus au cours des prochains jours, alors que le studio Epic Games prévoit faire une démonstration de la prochaine génération de sa technologie de jeu Unreal Engine 4 conçue pour cette nouvelle venue.
This doesn't mean anything, this is just poor wording from a 4th grade.En fait, Epic Games pourrait en dire un peu plus sur la mécanique qui animera également une éventuelle remplaçante de la PlayStation 3, de Sony, ainsi que de la Xbox 360, de Microsoft.
Talking about Microsoft, tweets blew out a tornado about the Xbox 3 as a developer wrote two days ago that the codename of Microsoft's upcoming console is "Durango". We are still waiting confirmation of the final name." Nothing new here.Parlant de Microsoft, la twittosphère a déclenché une petite tornade autour de la Xbox 3, alors qu'un développeur a publié il y a deux jours laisse entendre que la future console aurait comme nom de code « Durango ». On attend toujours le nom officiel de celle qu'on appelle aussi, parfois, Xbox 720 ou Xbox Next.
"Beyond that information, we also know that the Xbox 3 will use a 3D technology called (!) Direct X 11 and that a fourth entry in the Fable series is in works".Au-delà de cette information, on sait que la Xbox 3 utilisera une technologie 3D appelée Direct X 11, et qu'une quatrième suite à la saga Fable serait dans les cartons.
GDC ends on Friday and some publishers, among others, will share more about their plans, We will know about more this topic during the next presentations".Le GDC continue jusqu'à vendredi, et plusieurs éditeurs, entre autres, en diront davantage sur leurs plans. On en apprendra sans doute davantage sur le sujet au cours de ces présentations.

Unreal Engine 4 for the Wii U?
Did I get that right?
"cette nouvelle venue." Next new venue? Next venue news?
My French is horrible.
"un peu" UN PEU? ET UN PEU? A LITTLE WHAT
"une démonstration de la prochaine génération de sa technologie de jeu Unreal Engine 4 conçue pour cette nouvelle venue." "Demonstration on next generation technologies of UE4 at the next new venue." E3? Again, my French sucks.
My school French tells me this:
- There are also some hints about the next Xbox, such as using a technology called "3D DirectX 11"
Yes, this is what I translated as well.
This is actually thread worthy.
Unreal Engine 4 for the Wii U?
Did I get that right?
3D tablet for Xbox Next confirmed.
The article doesn't really say that. First sentence about Wii U buzzing. Second sentence about Epic running an UE 4 demo. There's no direct relation, the article doesn't say "UE4 for Wii U", it just reports 2 things in the same parapgraph, which confuse everybody.
Probably just a translation or misheard thing, Direct 3D is the Graphics part of DirectX
Guys, that article is bullshit. It reeks and stinks amateurism and fake. C'est de la pure merde.
******
DON'T START A NEW THREAD ABOUT IT. THE ARTICLE DOESN'T MENTION SOURCES AND SEEMS TO BE WRITTEN BY A KID. I AM SAYING THAT AS A NATIVE FRENCH SPEAKER.
******
Hmmm? But people above confirmed the translation...?
UE 4 for Wii would be sweet though ifit becomes the de facto engine for next gen just like UE3 in this one.
But we can assume that the story is legit that:
1) WiiU will indeed pump out graphics superior to what we have now on the HD twins (there wasn't any aoubt about it actually)
2) Third-parties will be enticed to work on it along with the 720/PS4, and up-port their PS3/X360 work on it.
In any case, UE4 on WiiU would dispel many doubts about the hardware capabilities.
