Talking about that, I would love an HD dive in the abyss to check all the weird creatures down there on the sea bottom.

Hey, what's that over there?

AHHHHH

Getting back to Eternal Darkness, it would be nice to have gameplay completely HUD-free on the TV while the pad shows my health, magic and sanity meters and perhaps an action button or two. And when I want to get into the menu the pad turns into The Tome of Eternal Darkness and allows me to flip pages, scribble down some notes or perhaps allow me to create new spells and combine weapons via touch interface.

Man.. I need to replay that once or twice more. I've only done it once, for the Blue ending.

I love that interface idea. Sanity effects on two screens.. ha..

I'm not convinced we'll get re6 at launch as the launch is gonna be very crowded perhaps though a gold edition 6 months down the line

if the game launches within a month of the console release, it will launch on the wii u asap. Wii had 17 games at launch, some systems have had even more, and a game like RE6 will sell on Wii U in the millions, weather there is 2 or 20 launch titles. It's actually a system seller, especially if it looks mark-ably better than the hd twins version (and just with the lighting, it should be noticeable.

So there's rumours floating about that the new iPad will have some sort of tactile feedback. IF this were in the Wii-U controller, I wonder if there's any games that would actually benefit from this.

*shudders at the thought of Love Plus-U*

Tactile feedback and mainly stylus use don't work very well together... I think... :S

I think that the Stylus won't be used with the Wii U as much as with the DS/3DS. It's concepted as tablet for fingers, the stylus is just a nice bonus in my opinion.

Sure. I don't want to fiddle around the controller to use the touchscreen. Hell, i rarely use the stylus on DS/3DS.
But there is a stylus and it has to work with the touchscreen and i can't see the working out so well with a tactile screen.
or you could switch it on and off.

what are we talking here. It's nintendo :P

So, a poorly written French article confusing people over Unreal Engine 4 on Wii U, and something about Silicon Knights, that much I can understand has been unfolded since I went to bed. North Hall opens in about three hours, I'm eager to see Nintendo's booth(s).

Still three hours?! *YAWN*

ah well, just in time when my workshift ends.

Cosmic Walker looks kinda interesting.

Even if they kept it to just our own solar system, it could be a fantastic title. I've always wanted to visit Callisto and Ganymede..

Nintendo, listen to this man! If it needs to be more game-y, add a few base building elements, set up mining stations on asteroids, colonies on the moons of the gas giants, watch a solar system wide economy develop, and if you get bored, go for thrill rides in the rings of Saturn.

WAIT WHAT?!?!?

Edit:

Dyack noted that the game is "requested a lot by a lot of people" but he also said that he simply can't comment on what the studio is working on right now. When we pressed Dyack on whether a new Eternal Darkness could indeed be what the studio is developing for next-gen, he once again hinted that "anything's possible."

Dyack you better not be pulling my strings here!!

I wonder why Nintendo is collecting so many middleware software if no one will make games for Wii U =(

Wat?
We had a piece of news which said that 200-300 games are in development for Wii U, this number could have increased by now, and I think at least a dozen will use those middleware solutions.

This is a good move from Nintendo.

I'm just curious, why would another Eternal Darkness be a good thing? Do you really think they are capable of repeating an experience of that caliber at this point? Unless they have some magical (Nintendo) guidance, I just don't see it ending well.

Third party hate Nintendo

Let me ask a hypothetical question. If indeed the Wii U is powerful enough and developers are willing to port over PS4/720 games, therefore having 3rd Party games again, do you think we'll see Nintendo domination again a la the SNES?

Personally, I doubt it. People have already invested money and time into Xbox Live/SEN. I don't think Nintendo can provide enough of a reason for them to migrate over to NiN, even if their services are on par. Unless Nintendo has some killer feature in NiN.

Since Nintendo Network can bring downloadable retail games (like the next 3D Super Mario), it could be a killer feature.

As for Xbox Live arcade, well Microsoft has a weakness on it. Since Microsoft doesn't want to publish games that have not appear on their service first, Nintendo could bring some indies games on their service exclusively which would be another reason. That's why Cave Story (Wiiware, Steam) or VVVVVV (3DS eShop, Steam) are not on XBLA. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-08-24-why-microsoft-wont-publish-psn-firsts

Nintendo just need to have all the XBLA library except 1st party games and have more exclusive by touching this weakness.

I thought the company undertook massive layoffs. Do they even have the resources for a project like this?

I'd be skeptical about the quality of getting Eternal Darkness 2 after Dyack messed up Too Human and released a shitty X-Men game. However, putting the spell casting on the Wii U controller's touchscreen and using the stylus to draw them out would be sweet idea.
