Sweet @ the Ubisoft info!

TT Fusion is essentially Warthog, that explains the change in gameplay; different team. They also did Lego Rock Band, same thing.

I hope any PS360 games announced in the next few months also come to WiiU or I'm going to be really worried for the system. Motion control complainers ruining industry like Celda complainers :(
The first few months for it will be rough. I'm betting, despite Ubisoft's comments otherwise, it will be getting a Revelations port instead of a new Assassin's Creed title. It won't be getting Skyoshock, it won't be getting Borderlands 2, it won't be getting Street Fighter X Tekken, it won't be getting Dragon's Dogma, One Piece Musou, Asura's Wrath, Persona 4 Fighter, etc., etc.

It may be getting ports from this winter.

But 2012 is going to have to ride on Nintendo games.

Hopefully it starts getting multiplatform games on the same day as other consoles pretty quickly into its lifespan or it could miss out entirely if the PS4 and Xbox 3 come out fairly soon afterward.

The Wii uses an ARM9 to handle IO and security.

Thanks for that. I see "Starlet" was part of the GPU package for Wii. So based on what I read about it, I can definitely see this helping with the stream to the controller along with everything else.

Yeah, I know it's /v/, they video gmaes but this was interesting to share.
Guy claims he's from NoA, wanted people to guess the game. He also knows a lot of info for the September event but won't say anything(he says the redesign is a false rumor)
He gave out hints: It was on the Wii U and was from the Super Nintendo.
Someone guessed Yoshi Island and he was right.

What do you think? Someone on there gave out info that matched up to skyward Sword right when the teaser poster was shown. and someone posted details of the DSi the day before that Nintendo conference.

So a possible remake of Yoshi's Island? Does GAF want?

A remake of one of the two very first games I've ever owned (other being DKC) and that I hold near and dear to my heart? FUCK YEAH!!!

I saw the thread earlier today, and my impression that he was just another attention-seeking troll. Cactus sounded somewhat convincing before E3 too and look how terribly wrong those were.

I don't see the point of a remake of YI and it's my favorite game of all time. I'd rather some kind of sequel.

We got some kind of sequel already.
I'd rather have a full blown sequel developed by Nintendo themselves.

I don't see Nintendo choosing to remake an SNES game on a console like that unless they're going to start making some kind of "HD Classics" line for the Wii U eShop.

Most likely it. The Cactus "leak" was the one I was trying to remember as I posted that.

Yeah its probably fake. I remember the Cactus crap and how we were trying to determine which ones might be real. Its all crap and turned out to be a waste of time. Don't let the hype get to you!

You know what would be fun, would be if Nintendo *did* hold something big back from the Wii-U reveal. If it turned out that, despite what Nintendo said and showed, the controller *was* the system, it was a tablet system with wireless video capabilities built-in (you plug a video-receiving dongle into your TV set - heck, it could be built-into a wireless sensor bar). Everything else could be just as they showed - working with standard Wii controllers and all, the ability to have a different image on the Wii-U tablet than on the TV set, etc. That's really the only reason I can think of for that controller to have slide-pads built-into it instead of full analogue sticks, to make it more portable and more sturdy.

Of course, I'm just rambling and this has probably been covered more than once in this thread, but I think it would be fun if Nintendo revealed that next E3. "Surprise!"

Um, I don't know where to stand. I find it incredibly hard to believe a 2D platformer would get a remake on WiiU and not the 3DS.

Also, is Nintendo going to start HEAVILY resorting to remakes? They have a huge catelog of classics, yes, but I'd be more excited at a NEW game. Maybe Yoshi's Island but 3D?

Despite lazy8s constant hammering of PowerVR tech being awesome, and the media's constant daily riding of apple-cock, mobile tech is not THAT mature. lol

Man, I really hope nintendo has a good effin explanation for the 3DS cradle disaster. Like a really damn good explanation.

Because I really like the company, and I've always enjoyed what they've put out. Those Wii U images grab my interest, but my confidence in the company rests in how the cradle is going to be implemented.

I don't mean they'll be dead to me if the cradle is all our worst fears materialized into ugly plastic. Nothing that dramatic. Just that my opinion of their competency may be shaken. I'll still likely buy their products in the future, but with much more hesitancy.

Here's how it's going to be explained: "Monster Hunter".

Capcom.

Great set of high-res pictures. It's nice looking at the device in such detail, though that Zelda footage looks hardly impressive in those shots, then again, that sort of picture resolution of something in 720p would look terrible.

You know that no matter how successful the system is long term, if it doesn't sell 10 million copies on its first day of release, or something equally ridiculous, there'll be people claiming that it's a failure/Nintendo is doomed. And that's ok.

Mmmm those nubs need to be textured like the GC stick.
I'm concerned about the size of the buttons. It's hard to tell from screenshots, but has anyone been able to confirm if the buttons are the same size as the CC or DS/3DS?

That's what Nintendo gets for setting such high standards for themselves

D-Pad is the size of the CC, buttons the size of the 3DS (but they appear to be spaced further apart).

At least the d-pad is big, but I hope they fix the face buttons before release. I'm tired of making sacrifices for controls, particularly on Nintendo systems.

The controller's screen is only 480p.

I actually think Wii U will be next gen's PS2, while 3DS will have a moderate success. It just seems that all the cards are perfectly aligned for Wii U. The concept makes just makes sense.

3DS is in a better position to succeed than Wii U at this point. It's going to dominate Japan this holiday, which is important for handhelds.

What?? Now they can actually learn from from their mistakes with 3DS! But at the end of the day I am very happy that Vita will not be allowed to split the market and all the awesome games will come to 3DS.
