After a bad pre e3 conference, somebody started the rumor that Nintendo was going to do a secret conference on Thursday (LOL). Nintendo fans started believing the rumor, so Drinky made a thread saying just "Believe". At first people argued he knew something because he is/was a famous poster, and he wouldn't put his reputation at risk just to mock Nintendo fans (if I'm not mistaken he was a mod back then)...the thread was a big roller coaster, and to make things even funnier, he got the tag "Banned", making Nintendo fans think "he got what he deserved".shadyspace said:Still don't get it.

Companies are probably still afraid to support Nintendo.Hero of Legend said:Why don't more companies announce Wi U games?
I mean, after E3 we got:
DQX from SE, Marvel Pinball from Zen Studios, and F1 from Codemasters.
Why were they allowed to spill the beans but not anyone else?

hatchx said:May as well save big announcements for next e3. I think they have NDAs on features and hardware anyways, so it'd be half assed announcements.
DQX doesn't really count. Who cares about the other two...
Wii U is announced and EA has a section of the studio covered in curtains, there's even a picture floating on the web of that place. It's more likely that they're working with the next generation Xbox at this point.IceDoesntHelp said:So Dead Space may be coming to the Wii U, or it may not, who knows.
TunaLover said:I´m expecting Wii levels of support for Wii U, the only thing that could change that is that Nintendo specifically was pushing to get titles, it seems (3DS as mesure) that Nintendo is more actively seeking games from 3rd parties, I think that DQX is a good sign. But they need make those deals more frequently, MH3 didn´t help too much to gain support in Japan because they haven´t any other heavy third party title after that.

anyway, you mean they are actually developing titles, rather than experimenting with the device. And, is that where all their development for Wii U is taking place? aren't their studios separated at several places around the globe?
EA: We love Wii U
Back in June, everyone was talking about the Wii U, Nintendos first video game console with high-definition graphics unveiled at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.
Since then, no ones heard much more about Wii U, which has a tablet screen for a controller and can be used in conjunction with Wii remotes. Nintendo must be hunkering down to put the finishing touches on it before it hits stores sometime next year.
But Peter Moore, the video game industry veteran who was promoted to be Electronic Arts chief operating officer in August, told Reuters this week that everything appears to be on track with the Wii U, at least from his perspective working for a publisher making games for it.
There are no indications that theres anything that feels like its off target, Moore said. Nintendos stock has taken a beating in recent months and its share price is approaching its low for the year.
Moore said he will be visiting Nintendos hometown of Kyoto next week to check on how the console is shaping up.
From our perspective right now, specs are a big deal, he said, adding that during his trip, he will looking to find out more about the gadgets graphic and computer processing units, its price and when it might be shipped.
Moore, who has experience launching consoles from his days at Microsoft, says Nintendo was smart to incorporate a tablet into the console with the Wii U.
No one thinks its going to replace an iPad 2 but it is playing into what a consumer feels comfortable with, Moore said.
In the past, publishers have backed away from dedicating too much content to Nintendo platforms, since the Japanese company tended to use its consoles to push its own software titles. But make no mistake, EA is on board with the Wii U, Moore said.
Our teams are working on it around the world. Our key franchises will be there. Weve made that commitment to Nintendo.
Naturally, such a promising system would be enough to get anybody excited, including, it seems, EAs second in command John Schappert.
The 3DS is just incredibly cool. The 3DS is magical. You put that in your hand, you look down, and all of a sudden its in 3D without glasses. Thats an amazing experience. Im a huge fan, he articulated, in an interview with IndustryGamers.
I think that device is going to sell like hot cakes. I think its going to do incredibly well, and in typical Nintendo fashion they have re-energized the industry, yet again. I give them nothing but credit and we are excited to be supporting that platform with Madden, FIFA, and The Sims that we announced.
Pretty much.ShockingAlberto said:
Comes back from Kyoto. "Fuck the Wii U."artwalknoon said:Moore says, "Specs are a big deal", let's hope Nintendo agrees and he's not disappointed with whatever he sees in Kyoto.
They're probably going out there for a full briefing/presentation on the console including all its features that they've worked out to this point. Given how tight Nintendo is they probably don't even want to conduct a meeting like that outside of their own headquarters.guek said:Moore going to Japan to talk to NCL? Omigod madden for wii U???!?
Sounds like they're getting close to finalizing the system. Seems odd that moore would fly out just to check out specs though since EA already has a dev kit. Maybe this means there's been significant change due to 3rd party input?
Or nintendo could just be flying him out to cement developer relationships.
Ah crap...ShockingAlberto said:That does pretty much confirm that EA is not "designing" the Wii's online, if nothing else.
