There is no evidence that they are doing it again, just because they were conservative about one aspect of a previous console's specs does not mean that the conservative language used is any way inaccurate just because early dev kits were buggy and overheating.
I suspect that final specs are not yet set in stone but all the available evidence sadly points to being a mild step up from the PS360.
It's a shame, I'd love to see the likes of Retro, Monolith and EAD Tokyo let loose on some serious hardware, I don't think Nintendo will get away with going cheap again. Hopefully their 3DS experience has taught them that.
They really need to increase the size of the face buttons on the controller, a home console with a handheld size buttons is utterly moronic, no analogue triggers in 2011 is another example of Nintendo being frustratingly tight arsed.
