There is literally nothing in this interview.
They also shouldn't label it interview but conversation.

Nintendo needs to show a game at E3 that PROVES beyond any doubt this damn thing is more powerful than the damn 360.
Something that CANNOT be done on current systems.
Maybe the doubters would finally be satisfied.
Don't need to get into a power war to have a system more powerful than the 360.That's just not Nintendo at all. They'll be showing game experiences that can't be done on other consoles and not getting into a power war.

Well, some people (GAF trolls) are gonna say shit like that regardless.
Meanwhile, Sony will show prerendered video that will never be done on the system and everyone will jizz their pants. This, it can be 2015 CGI quality and it would still be "disappointing".

"B-b-but I don't wanna use friend codes on teh CoDz!"They really should get some dude from Activision up on stage at E3 just to say "Wii U version of [insert new CoD here] looks best. 1080p. 60fps." Then give him a sack full of money as he steps off the stage. They don't need to actually show the game, of course, because these sorts of people don't really care what a game looks like, so long as it has the appropriate numbers attached.
So the quest for Wii U news continues
sigh
Why do you sigh? Not living up to your username!
what are the launch games!!!!!!!! :'(
all i know is (i hope) new super mario brothers wii u
"Wii U version will also have Call of Duty Elite U. A superior [subscription] service where U can become the true elite CoD player!"They really should get some dude from Activision up on stage at E3 just to say "Wii U version of [insert new CoD here] looks best. 1080p. 60fps." I watched Sony's 2005 E3 presentation the other day... there is no way they can get away with it being that boring and that full of BS again. It was tech demo on top of tech demo on top of random Spider-man demos. Very little had any gaming relevance. They just don't have the clout to make enough people buying into that hype yet again. I personally think that Nintendo having their first generational leap in over 10 years will give their games a hype-advantage that the other systems won't be able to touch.Meanwhile, Sony will show prerendered video that will never be done on the system and everyone will jizz their pants.
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge and Lego City Stories are both suppose to be launch titles.Darksiders II
Batman: Arkham City (any later than launch is stupid.)
Metro Last Light (any later than launch isn't as stupid as Batman)
I believe that's all we know..

So appearantly, Retro is releasing a new game this year. According to a tweet from an employee. They hired guys from Naughty Dog and Vigil. According to the former, he is now working on his crowning achievement as an artist...
This is coming from a certain nintendo fan site that is banned here i think.
here's a thought-
I know that several GAFers including myself have stated in the past that they would absolutely love a Zelda HD collection for the Wii U. While this sounds like an unequivocally awesome idea, do you guys think it would have real selling power as a launch/launch-window title? The same goes for a SMG 1/2 HD collection. These games have sold very well on the Wii, but would they really have the ability to be resold so soon after they've come out for the Wii? Yes, I know myself and likely many other people on this board would kill for a chance to play WW/TP/SS and the galaxies in glorious HD, but would the market at large be just as receptive or would they shrug them off? Would it be worth nintendo's time and money to refit them for the Wii U?
Personally I think that would be a bad idea. The first time Mario and Zelda are shown in HD should be a new title that makes use of the console's power. A HD release of the old games would just give further ammunition to the PS360 fans saying Wii U games looks worse than games on their consoles.
At a later point, after new installments have come out, those HD collections could be a good idea and sell quite a bit.

EDIT: lol, nevermind, GAF is the source
But that's stupid. Does the God of War games in the collections looks as good as 3? No. It still isn't a general indicator of the PS3's power, and neither will it be the case for the Wii U with a Zelda or Mario HD Collection.
Don't apply that sort of logic in reference to Nintendo. It's not afforded the same sort of leniency that Sony and MS are.
I'm not sure how PS360 fanatics' online rants would affect any of Nintendo's publishing decisions. I don't see Nintendo HD collections happening when they have Virtual Console for that anyway.

Oh it is absolutely stupid, but I don't doubt it would happen. But the example you give is what I had in mind: God of War 3 came out first, looked amazing, then they brought the HD collection. Although now that I think about it, maybe it released at the same time. In any case, God of War 3 was the focus of the media hype.
Another argument that would be made is that Wii U is just a port-machine. Also, "Nintendo only brings out the same games over and over again".
A Zelda HD Collection would definitely be a good idea for a launch title. Grezzo could handle making that, they did a good job with the OoT 3D remake.
God of War Collection came out first. 4 months before. It had the E3 demo of God of War 3.
He said the crowning achievement had nothing to do with a game. It had something to do with a book from his brother.

What, Nintendo GO?
Didn't sources from this thread basically confirm that at the very least the RAM would Have to be at 1 Gig?
I think it is a horrible decision for a couple of reasons. But the biggest reason is that at the least the PS3/360 hd collections featured minimalist programming in adding achievements / trophies for the hardcore. That is technically content.
If Nintendo does not adopt that philosophy, all you would have is an upscaled port. You know where upscaled ports belong? The virtual console. Unless you are one of those guys that really treasured the Mario 25th Anniversary collection.
He said the current dev kit has 2GB, therefore the lowest amount we'll see in the final console is around 1GB (just over with eDram included). But it could have more in the final system.

I never understood the rationale behind putting more RAM in the dev kits than there will be in the final console. Surely if devs have been optimising games for 2GB of RAM, turning around and telling them "actually, you're only getting 1.5GB" would be a bit of a kick in the teeth? In my mind giving them 1GB in the first place and then upping it to 1.5GB later on would be much preferable (or just sticking to the same amount of RAM the whole way through).
The extra ram is used for debug reasons.the developers can use 1GB ram for the games (in this case), the extra 1GB is for debugging. I am not a developer but I have read a thousand times that this is a standard procedure maaaany years.
