You'd think that after years of hollywood elitists hopping on the woke train and preaching to people about equality and gender being a social construct, something would have changed by now.

Yet here we are, where physical violence against a man, in public, is rewarded with a golden statue and a standing ovation.

Apparently 'equality' only applies when viewed from one, very narrow, perspective.

Seems fake and staged. Watching the slap, Rock was learning forward with his head as if expecting it and didn't react with surprise. Smith's slap looked more like the face and neck and didn't have any power on it.

I'm kinda with ya on this one. Something just seems off, especially Rock's reaction to it afterwards. I can't imagine anyone getting hit and just keep on smiling and joking unless they were in on it. No normal person gets slapped and isn't either pissed or in complete shock, Rock was neither. This feels like Timberlake/Janet Jackson all over again where it originally looked real but come to find out was all staged.
