Will you buy a Switch 2 OLED if Nintendo ditches VRR since it is a challenge to implement it on handhelds?

That's all display related. VRR literally has no effect on the image being rendered.
But isn't that what we're discussing here, the panel? It varies from panel to panel, but the VRR technology has its flaws like any other… Some screens will have more issues, and others won't.

I wouldn't say no to OLED, but I'm more interested in a die shrink and better battery life than upgrading the screen. If they did upgrade the screen, I'd also be fine with LED over OLED for the refresh, but in reality they'll just go for whatever is being mass produced at the moment and therefore is cheap.

No, I also skipped original Switch OLED…..to me these type of "upgrade" are not worth the money.

Despite of issues people have with Switch 2's screen, I personally quite happy with it.

Who gives a shit about VRR or OLED, such marginal gains, just give me excellent games.
Also this, I have zero care for any VRR, ray-tracing, OLED or any of these technical stuff.

I buy any system one reason and reason only and that games.

Nope cause the only thing that would make me buy the Switch 2 is if they release a big AAA Zelda in the style of Majora's Mask/Ocarina of Time's artbook style or the Wii U tech demo.

i find it funny that when the OG Switch was announced in 2017, people were like "give me a dedicated home console Nintendo" or "nobody wants this", 8 years later and everyone seems to want to only play in handheld mode lmao

Wait so OLED TV has VRR but handheld OLED's don't have VRR? This sounds like a technology standards issue.

No, it's a power draw issue.

OLED TVs and monitors with VVR use techniques that all draw more power. That's not great on a handheld, especially one with pretty poor battery life.
