I don't know if it's all tmobiles fault though. My cousin ordered a desire hd from them, not tmobile, and they haven't sent him out anything either. At least with the Omnia they're giving updates. With him they just said "we don't know".

Last time I poked them on twitter their MD replied from his twitter saying they're frustrated but it's completely out of their hands :\ Wouldn't be so bad if they offered some kinda compensation but I doubt that since they could just say their deals are cheap enough :P

I'm paying 30/month for 18 months with 5 1/2 price (when I finally get it). I don't think anywhere else does a deal even close to that.

I can say from personal experience with all of the iPhone's that the iPhone 4 honestly has some of the best battery life currently available for a device of its type. That being said, the fact you can't swap the battery out for another one sucks. It's happened to me more than once when I was out and with no access to a charger.

I don't see the battery life on these being that much of an issue if I can just get a second one as backup.

Isn't it sad that you have to carry a battery back up for your phone on a daily basis? :lol

I would like it if I was able to find a larger capacity battery... :(
Next I want at add a 32gb micro sd card to my phone but I know I can't.

Sadly I know it isn't THAT big of a deal, but in general yeah thinking of smart phone battery life in general saddens me. :lol

Cool. I ordered a 16GB MicoSD card since I saw it on sale ($25 for 16GB SanDisk Class 4) so maybe it'll see some use. Still haven't decided on getting a WP7 phone this year or not though =P

I saw an AT&T commercial about the Samsung Focus coming on Nov 8th during the Texas Tech / Missouri football game on ABC last night.

Rumoured Canadian pricing on Rogers and Telus. I don't want to pay $670 after tax for anything that isn't a Dell Venue Pro...

two year contract 199 (150 on Amazon & Walmart) or out right 500 dollars at t-mobile & Amazon or 600 in store at Walmart...

edit: you must be talking about the Focus... Then it should be the same price at att (199/500)

If you pay the full price is it still locked to the carrier?

The cell phone industry is really ass backwards in America. Even if they sold their phones unlocked you couldn't get the full potential of them because every telecom company uses their specific frequencies for 3G(with ATT and Tmobile) or uses a technology that is rarely used around the world (Verizon and Sprint)

With LTE coming to Verizon and ATT (Sprint is also rumored to consider it also) hopefully we can start having a more unified structure that spurs better competition then "We have this exclusive phone, durr durr"

Endomondo app is up in the marketplace. It's my fave workout app, don't know if this version will allow you to play music in the background. App would suck if you couldn't.

The advertising is really ramping up now. Every commercial break during the Vikings / Cardinals game has a WP7 ad and it is one of the sponsors of the game.

edit: Also on Texans / Chargers game too

Well, it does come out tomorrow.
Right?

Yeah, my brother got confirmation from an AT&T store in Norman, Oklahoma, that already has the Focus in stock. He will be getting his tomorrow when they open. I have to wait until Wednesday when my contract is up.

Eugh.... I've just sold my HD2 :(
Supposedly MS implemented a unique ID to each phone to identify itself on marketplace.

If it's not unique, you can't access the marketplace which sucks.

:( can't you install and sync apps from the desktop client?

Saw this uploaded a little while ago on Youtube.

HTC Surround 720p video test.

Looks pretty awful.... I wonder how they went about it.

Does look fugly, but it's a random video uploaded to youtube. Probably does have issues, but at the same point lot of variables could have fucked this up. Not to mention the fact that HD videos in general on youtube look crappy.

If any of you are willing to wait till 2011 (and have the change), the Telstra HD7 will have At&t's 3G bands:

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=2660&c=telstra_htc_hd7

it'll be outdated by the time it arrives, though ;P

Clicked the link, but didn't see where it'll have AT&T bands? Does this mean it'll just have the bands or will AT&T actually start the carry the phone?

Meh either way if it doesn't get the bands till say spring of 2011 it'll be old hat anyways. It sucks to say but 6 months in the phone world, and shit can be LOL outdated these days. :lol

Of course you can. It doesn't let you download them unless you have a windows phone device connected, though.

If the HD2 running WP7 isn't properly identified as a WP7 device, then Zune wouldn't let you download apps from the marketplace.

I think HTC took the 'internal/non-user accessible MicroSD card slot' part of the WP7 spec a bit too serious.

That's the HTC 7 Mozart and it comes with a class 4 card.

More at the Life In The Fast Lane blog.

I wonder where the Venue Pro has the slot.

I find it funny how it's still a SD Card slot. If they really wanted to make it non-user accessible, HTC would have soldered it to the board.

Why do they have SD card slots at all?

HTC is lazy and wanted to be able to use their existing chassis designs with slight modifications and be able to mass produce the same circuit board and just slap different size microSD cards in the phones to offer varying device capacities.

At least, that's what this seems like to me..

Can't get Rocket Riot to load on my Mozart.. Plays the intro videos and crashes every time.

Xbox LIVE doesn't seem to be working either today :S

I placed an order through T-Mobile for my HD7 a few hours ago and I haven't even recieved a confirmation email yet. I'm starting to get nervous my phone number transfer is causing problems or something. I just really want to secure my HD7.

I wish At&T stores opened before 10am so I could go before work. Hopefully nothing goes wrong and my girlfriend can pick us up two new phones. I'll certainly post when this gets screwed up...

Anyone picked these up in Canada yet? I am trying to find the information on Rogers website and they don't have any listing for the Windows Phone 7.
