Why pressure yourself that much. You don't have to buy the thing at launch you know. It's much better to buy a new phone when you have comfortable room to spend money.

Also it seems like they're pre-selling them. You will get a coupon that you can redeem for a phone on the 3rd.
I asked one of the stores and they said they are out of stock and were actually handing out the devices today.
Edit: I think that guy has no idea what he was talking about, called another store and they have no clue about the phone at all. Heh.

have you forgotten, cyan and yellow are available online only. there is a chance with those online orders that you'd get the phone by friday. that's usually how online orders work with att.

Another question. Is the camera "sideways"? As in, can I hold the phone upright and the pictures will take in landscape?

Well I got £50 store credit for microsoft not honoring the delivery of my Surface :-/ if I hadn't already bought win8 I'd of got the update for free...

The CPUs are comparable, but the GPU in the iPhone 5 is in a whole different league. It's a massive difference. The Adreno 225 in Qualcomm's S4 is one of the weakest GPUs in current smartphones and it's something all Windows Phones are going to use in the next few months.

When you really think about it, a top of the line GPU would be a waste of money on WP.
I expect a lot of win8 -> wp8 game ports so the more power the better. The existing windowsrt devices have underperforming GPUs as well, but that will change soon.
