Hmm. I only read like 3 chapters but I much preferred Onodera over yakuza girl.
Wonder how far the show will get into the mangas 100 or more chapters.
Saw the first episode of Yamato 2199. Why am I just hearing of this show? This shit seems right up my alley.

Now, to finish Non Non Biyori or move on to Yamamoto since y'all keep hyping it so much.
Well that whole operation was for nothing and a shit ton of people died. But at least we got this chick encased in unbreakable crystal for our troubles!
On a serious note though, the series was pretty enjoyable. I was worried it was going to have a Game of Thrones complex with killing off every character I gave a damn about since my friend spoiled episode 3(?) for me about Eren's "death." Luckily that didn't turn out to be the case.
The post credits teaser with the titan in the wall was such a kick in the balls. There are still just so many questions about what the hell is going on and whose on what side.

Episodes 62-85
Words dont even begin to describe how amazing the Greed Island arc was. I was kinda scared, going into that arc. I thought we were gonna go all SAO with that arc but no! That arc had the best sense of adventure in this entire show.
First off, this arc had Bisky. Hell yes this arc had Bisky.
I loved the scenes when she acted like that/
This character was the entire package. Basically serving as the trainer in this arc, she puts Gon and Killua through hell and back in this arc to toughen them up, and all under the guise of your average everyday loli. I couldnt help but chuckle at every charming moment this character had. When this character wasnt acting as her typical tough self, she was pretty much the most adorable thing Ive ever seen in this show.
The training in this show escalated from normal to damn hard-core with Gon and Killua running marathons digging through mountains.
Greed Island arc had the best fights so far. I have to say though that Im a little disappointed that the Phantom Troupe didnt get to do much combat-wise. But hot damn that dodge ball match. I dont care if that was the only time Hisoka fought on-screen in this arc, but seeing him fight on Gons side was soooo satisfying.
Then there was the bomber. He was pretty fun, that sadistic attitude of him. I liked how his power involved some kind of game of tag and you had to catch him to defuse his bombs. But I dont think Ill ever forget how Gon and the others beat him. My jaw hit the floor when his hand got blown off. I love how the fights get resolved in this show. Its not through a force of strength, and they didnt beat him in terms of power. It was all strategy and stage production.
Then there was the bomber. He was pretty fun, that sadistic attitude of him. I liked how his power involved some kind of game of tag and you had to catch him to defuse his bombs. But I dont think Ill ever forget how Gon and the others beat him. My jaw hit the floor when his hand got blown off. I love how the fights get resolved in this show. So all in all the Greed Island arc was really fun. But now that Im entering the Chimera Ant arc, I could guess that shit was going to get real when I read on Wikipedia that this arc is apparently still going.
And holy shit this arc so far. This is where the real darkness of this show lies.
First off, let me just say that Gons dad is a bigger troll than I thought. I thought that wed finally get to see Gon meet his dad right there, but nope! He literally rigged the game so Gon wouldnt show up with friends.
But then Kite shows up and I instantly like this guy. He has such a cool design, with those slanty eyes of his, and that eerie presence he gives off. Unfortunatley he had to raise death flags by giving Gon Gings hunter liscence and get his head ripped off by those damn Chimera Ants.
Remember when I said the Phantom Troupe were assholes? Forget that. These Ant bastards are ten times worse than the Phantom Troupe. Hell, everything their doing is making the Troupe look like damn saints.
I like this theme of evolution thats apparent with them. It started off with a queen, then one humanoid ant, then they start to get more personalities the more they devour. I cant remember the last time I saw an evil organization rise from next to nothing in an anime before. Seriously, one second theres a squadron of like, five, the next theres an entire damn army.
Its actually scary watching them progress, and learn about Nen. I could really feel the fear as they killed off some of the old characters from the Hunter Exam arc. The enemy grows stronger while the good guys know little to nothing about it.
Seeing the Chairman enter the fray is going to make things really interesting. This show seems to be escalating at a slow, frightening pace, as I have no idea what is going to happen next.
How worse can this show possibly get after Kites death? I mean, I heard it got worse after episode 80, but I dont see what could be worse after that bombshell was thrown at me in episode 85.
I knew this show was only gonna get better the second this guy showed up.

Seriously dude, read the special Kurapika chapters. I'm willing to give the ants more of a break here since they're essentially blank slates acting purely on instinct and have no moral compass at first.
But yeah, the threat of the Chimera Ants is at no point underplayed, which makes the entire arc terrifying in a way.

What a fantastic surprise end of the year, sadly, the long wait for the episode had me hyped for something epic but it turned to just be another silly thing with Alvida. One of the weaker moments but I did chuckle every now and then. Ive missed Wallens, Paan, Pollon, Haruka, Braveheart, and definitely Dragonboy. Hope to watch many more episodes and more boss rooms.

I didn't realize Samurai Flamenco was continuing past last season, I'll probably be dropping it as I am fairly bored with it about 8 episodes in. Space Dandy, Silver Spoon are my guaranteed watches, might pick up something else as well.

waoh some did do this episode ... i guess i should rejoice that there is still interest on this anime even if it's 2 years late.
Hopefully it will pick up gear otherwise the record of slowness set by "futago-hime" will be beaten !

For a second I thought there was a new season of To aru majutsu no Index because of the title and the girl looks like she's wearing Index's clothes. The show still sounds interesting though.
For me this season so far is Golden Time, Nisekoi, Pupa, To Aru Hikushi e no Koi Uta, and not sure what else. Doesn't seem to have any ither rom coms that are similar to Golden Time this season.

I would never partake of such lewd filth! I pure heart makes for pure reading and watching.
It took me a while but I got it. Blame my forward looking personality.
Corvo didn't like Garzey? Like, I know he wasn't hot on some of those old OVAs like Angel Cop which just have cheesy instead of comically horrible VA, but Dark Cat's dub is easily in the Garzey/Big Green tradition.
I mean most of the show is plot and characters that were mostly just stupid to the point of not being engaging at all, and the show was constantly dragging its feet. Even if someone liked the death sequences they make up a very small portion of the show.
