After wondering why as they don't not call each other by their first name, that is ultimately resolved at the end of the episode, with Kirara being the aggressor by calling Minami "Minamin". Cue Haruka's jealousy and blushing. You'd think Haruka was the harem master of this bunch, but then you'd think Kirara was the lead, or even Minami! Who is the real leader of the harem? Lord knows.
Yui appeared, for a split second. Which was more than last weeks.
We have confirmed Kirara's mother, named Stellar. And we also find out that Kirara is good at both Math and Art, unlike the other two! Talk about multi-talented!
Also I feel like Haruyama was a bit involved with this episode.

an Aoba and Mikada v everyone else type of scenario would be intriguing, perhaps it will make Masaomi return to Izaya and others and we get some epic situation going on?
Doesn't Valerie and Adele having some kids before going in for the long nap account for this. That would make Couvert both a bloodline descendant of the royal bloodline and that of Adele. The talk of children and grandchildren was a bit generalized, but they have clearly been lovers for a long time.
Cinques relation to Adele is actually the bigger question mark.

Been waiting for Shun Midorikawa to get his screentime. Sadly pushing it to the next episode was saddening. Still the lead up was hilarious. Yuima excelling at every task was done just as good as the manga. Also the three guys (beanie guy especially) being all confident before hand and then losing easily the next was hilarious.

Every other episode, I feel like dropping this, and then the last 4-5 minutes of the following episode make me reconsider.
But goddamn, this is a weird show in how every single character except for the actual protagonists get a chance in the spotlight. Might as well just make it a series of short stories without the useless four wasting airtime.

That's funny, I always thought Sasuke was a bad mix of Killua (lightning powers, assassin, legendary family, edgy) and Kurapika (red eyes, vengeance for my clan, abandons his friends for revenge)
The similarities between Early HxH and early Naruto are pretty funny at times.
A reminder Hunter x Hunter started a year or two before Naruto yet has around 350 chapters. Naruto ended at 700.
That's how bad the hiatus streaks are.

Not much to say, but I'm really surprised how much I ended up liking this. Once I got used to the visuals and animation, it became a lot more enjoyable. And speaking of animation, the action/fight sequences are pretty damn great. Best part of the show, no doubt. The music is really good too.
I've just started Vol. 2 and holy shit, the food fight was so mothafuggin good. It was really well done.

I'm getting increasingly confused as to what is going on in this series. I'm still enjoying it but it's beginning to seem like two many things are being crammed into the show at once and furthermore the execution of some of the ideas is really weirdly done so it's not as effective as I'd like.
Still, the way the show layers plot points and characters is enjoyable and for some reason there was actually sakuga in last week's episode so...

Well, a proper first episode. Classic setup with genius family member building giant robots and evil organizations bent on world domination. Nothing wrong with that. Kouji seemed like an alright, but bland, dude, but that rage against the delinquents gave me a bit more interest in him. Getting ready for some mecha action next episode though.

I really can't think of a more unique and refreshing arc in a mecha show than this one. Space Nam was the perfect place to explore the tragedy of war and I'm really gonna miss it. What I won't miss tho is Kan Yu, seeing that fucker get thrown into a seemingly endless pit was the most cathartic thing ever. Doubly so the fake space pope getting crushed and burned alive. sooo goooooooooood
