It's hard to get excited for the new Gintama when you're so far behind it... getting to the point where I'll just say fuck it and blaze through the manga (and just watch the big arcs in the anime), would certainly be quicker.

Can't imagine enjoying Gintama without Sugita voice breh,,

Yeah true...

Not really a fan of the spinoff, but the OST is by Kato Tatsuya, so at least I can look forward to that. Had thought he was only doing Soma next season.

Has he actually composed anything great since Horizon? It's like he had his breakout with Horizon and got offered two-three jobs a season since and his quality fell the fuck off.

My spring anime 2015 list

Heroic Legend of Arslan
Digimon Adventure Tri
F/SN UBW S2
Kekkai Sensen
Kyoukai no Renne
Seraph of the End

If the new Lupin anime is considered a good starting spot for beginners I'll check it out, Gintama is in my back log already, and I'll wait for GitS Arise to be dubbed.

DVD will always outsell due to cost, but its a fragile format. I can recall many times I ordered something from Suncoast and the discs were scratched in shipping. Blurays simply dont scratch like that. They are durable and pretty and worth the increased cost in many cases. When I accidentally drop a DVD on the ground, my heart skips a beat because it probably scratched it.
Yeah if I'm honest with you, I always forget that fact. I've never found DVD to be fragile per se, and as with anything I'm always careful (almost too careful, which cancels itself out I find and I end up doing more damage! D:) but the added protection on Blu-ray is welcomed.
Not at all, as long as you are happy with it and didn't skip dinner to buy it :p

Again, just to expand on the sales talk, The Garden of Sinners DVD Box-set sold between 400 - 600 units within the UK. It costs around £55 and released back in December.

Maturity, bitches.
I hope more meta doesn't mean better. YuruYuri was great, Chronicles of the Going Home Club is kind of dull.
I know meta and better rhyme but that doesn't mean they mean the same thing.

Also why are you trying to get me to choose between the two?

I've seen it.
Divergence Eve is very bad...
I'd rate it below blade and soul in term of crappiness and goddamn i hated blade and soul.

Why is divergence eve crap ?
- The setting ...
I wish i could say why but it's been a while since i've watched this show. i watched it when it was airing so it has been a while , but from memory it might , one boring world to look at
- The first episode
I've never seen a first episode that told me to GO AWAY like that one... A confusing battle , painfull technobablle , bland dialog , and it wasn't pretty
-The ending song/animation
Yes you're talking about it .. the sheer disconnect between the ending song and teh rest of the show, i thought it was a joke at first , but that was intentionnal
-The story
LOOL

I wish i could describe in words what the story is about ..i don't even know why there are 2 seasons of this thing. But one thing for sure , after 11 years , i can't recall it.
But on the back of my mind , all i remember is that i couldn't understand some people interest for the thing and that i've argued about it on IRC , because i really couldn't understand WHY people loved in this show and why they seemed to like it.
Also on the back of my mind , i ve some feeligns of disgust that are appearing..i dunno why.

I've dropped this show. it's horrible ,it's a bad anime.

It's bad for your health. Some people just don't realise how divergence EVE is crap , or maybe everyone has forgotten or want to forget.. It's horrible ..i can't even recommand for a so bad it's good or for THE LIST.

VERDICT : GARBAGE

Well...I can't say you're wrong as when I start to think a bit more now, the show didn't really have anything going with it. It's basically another generic anime show but a bit worst. Even the character development they're trying to do was okay but not much. I kinda see why they did it and you kinda feel a bit for the main character but for the secondary support characters, they development was bland generic in so many way.

Now, I let it sink in for a day, my impression start to get worst as issue I am having with the show is start to pop up. It feel like I need to like this show but really they isn't much to say and won't recommend the show to anyone as they is no point to watch.

I saw it long ago but yeah its pretty forgettable fanservice booby 90s sci fi. But it wasnt very good or very interesting to me so I cant remember a lot more than that sorry.

Yea...it start to get bad when I start to analyze the story a bit. Too many issue and plot hole and even the fan serivce can't save this show. The sad part is I am now watching the second season as I own the DVD for them and at least need to watch it once orelse it's kinda a waste of money really.

Clemont gets a Luxray and takes off on helicopter to prepare for the upcoming gym battle.

Leaving Ash to travel with only his waifu and a daughteru.

Lucky bastard.

That's pretty pitiful. So much for a cheaper Kara no Kyoukai release resulting in more sales.

I'm personally hoping that Aniplex's release of Mirai Fukuin is successful enough to get a domestic re-release of the films on BD. Sold separately would be nice, since I only really want the fifth movie. Though on the other hand, I wouldn't mind owning them all.

Watching it because it's Takahashi? Felt it was mediocre as shit in the ten or so manga chapters I read. Or maybe you've read the manga and it improves?

Yeah pretty much, haven't read the manga at all though so I have no idea if it picks up or not. Then again I thought InuYasha was kind of mediocre when I first picked it up years ago so who knows. It's probably the most iffy of my spring anime choices partially there due to the creator of the manga and partially because I don't see a whole lot of stuff jumping out at me this spring.

Has he actually composed anything great since Horizon? It's like he had his breakout with Horizon and got offered two-three jobs a season since and his quality fell the fuck off.
I honestly can't say anything he has made since has been as great, but it's always been at least good or decent. I mostly attribute that to the unique setting requiring a lot of diverse tracks, which aren't technically necessary for the other series he's worked on. Recently, I enjoyed his work on Celestial Method last season, and Yatterman this one.

Snaggletooth looks wierd.

Why is a spinoff getting a anime while a season 3 is nowhere in sight? Did Endless Eight really killed off the whole main series?

Kadokawa doesn't care anymore because LOL the latest LN volume already selling 500k in first print, why bother funding animu again dawg...

When that Deen's show that hyped by hossana air? not this spring?

We know that episode 3 of the rakugo show was being animated last month, which in a normal schedule would indicate it's airing next season. If it's airing later than spring, they're unusually ahead on production. But no official airing date has been announced yet.

At any rate, the first of the manga-bundled OADs for the series comes out tomorrow (March 6), so we should be able to get a taste of what the show will be like before too long.

Saekano 8 - This is the episode is what I remembered from the manga that I sampled and why I was a bit confused that it was about game making and not manga making.

Only 2 episodes left and still they have not introduced the musician from the intro. Weird.

My pick for Sping 2015

Heroic Legend of Arslan
Shokugeki no Soma
Ore Monogatari
Yahari ore no seishun

Looking at anichart, it seems like I'll watch:

Oh god. So many shows I want to try.

After the desert of this season it looks like 15 or more shows are on my list.

Log Horizon 20-21

Even though the arc ended it really felt like it opened more doors then it closed. Lots of great character development and set up for future events that I can't wait to see.

F/SN UBW 11

So at this point in the eroge version of the video game would Shirou and Rin
have sex
? That's really all there was to get out of this episode as nothing happened besides Shirou getting a power up

Your Lie In April 20

Fuck this fucking show man.

Fuck this shit. I didnt put up with all those goddamn monologues and poetry for this shit.

What did the cat ever do to you show creator. RIP Chelsea 2.

Kousei's life really does suck. After all the progress all the characters made this episode too. SMH.

-Ore Monogatari
-Punchline

But mainly BBB. And Lupin. But mostly BBB.

I'm going to be a pleb and not develop my own choices for Spring, rather I shall listen and see what is good thanks to the sage opinion of AnimeGAF. That won't steer me wrong. No sir.

That's my plan. Usually serves me well three weeks in when I see who has dropped what!

Sentai has been hinting on twitter for an announcement for tomorrow. From their hints it seems like they got Parasyte.

I really hope it's not them >:[

F/SN UBW 12

Well at least stuff happened in the second half of this episode, though ending tension from the final scene of the climax is instantly dismissed when the preview for the second season shows Shirou fighting alongside Rin. While not as strong of an s1 as F/Z's I still enjoyed the first season of UBW a lot. Ufortable truly are the masters of making battle porn and the fight scenes are worth putting up with the slow, dull character building.

I definitely feel Aniplex of America wants to re-release the films, but Aniplex of Japan has a weird BD hold on any area outside of Japan. Even some European countries can't release them on BD. It's a very strange situation.

TL;DR: Tanigawa's not writing, so there's nothing to promote novel-wise. Puyo's consistently putting out manga volumes, so there is something to promote there. Essentially the Haruhi novels have an average of 727,000 novels per volume out (highest of any LN series), so that market's kinda peaked. Without a consistent flow of new novels, there's no reason to spend the money to animate more. Nothing to do with Endless Eight, despite the rage-on the West has for it.

That is strange. Hopefully Mirai Fukuin can convince them otherwise, though it's not a huge deal if it doesn't. The original discs do have subtitles, after all, so importing is still an option.

I'm liking the score for Yatterman, never watched Celestial Method or checked out the ost though. His 2013-2014 work for the most part is pretty average...

Another day, another good anime Sentai somehow gets the rights too.

Here's what I'm looking forward to in spring:

UBW S2
Ore Monogatari
Digimon Adventure Tri
Nagato Yuki
Owari no Seraph
Yahari S2
Yamada-kun

The most shows I've been interested in a while now. Only watching Seraph for the animation just like I only read the manga for the art. The plot and characters are so throwaway, it's funny.

Gaiking: Legend of Daiku Maryu - 20

Essentially a MOTW-ish sort of episode, with a bit of plot advancement near the end regarding the ore they got.

Shirobako 21

I can understand his attraction to quality on a certain level, but as Shirobako has showed, even arbitrary weird decisions that we can see from the outside have a story behind them, and everyone really is working their damndest to produce the best anime possible. Even when they're up against this universe's version of KanColle. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The message of Shirobako, to me, seems to be about how harsh schedules and several people with possibly conflicting opinions can come together and produce art, sometimes by fluke. Even if - or because? - that art has characters in their underwear, if next week's title is anything to go by.

Shirobako 21

Solid episode. I guess nothing will happen for Zuka by the end of the season :( I was hoping someone saw the roller coaster recording and then heard her say Arias lines, but since they already aired the first episode I guess there's no way for her to break into this show.

I'm starting to really enjoy having Tarou around. He's just comic relief now and I love how the 2 new production assistants constantly teases him. Their banter is great.

All 5 girls are in the credits finally. I dunno if that means anything.
